I guess Hj wants his posts erased lol
k guys it's not fair for me to compare my 2 different LED lights vs each other because they are drastically different in power draw and output, the bud master 675xg is massive by comparison to the mars2 so I can't do that, what I can say without any bias is this, the budmasterII is performing fantastically and right now I feel it's as good if not better than the 600watt hps it replaced, right now I have a sour diesel#2 (2 of them) that started flowering under the bmii675xg and it's as frosty as the other sd2 that's 3 1/2 weeks farther along the LED is really improving the Trich production vs hps, and it's looking like the second sd2 it going to really produce, the buds are already as hard as the bigger plant ,the og kush I just harvested is just crazy frosty compared to it's first time flowering under hps,we're talking the same exact plant! Looking and producing better the second time , and that's with it starting out under hps, I think the bmii675xg is a beast and easily as good as any 600watt hps perhaps more,
Now for the mars2 it's meant to be a replacement for a 400watt hid, I have done 1 run seed to harvest and a good amount of veg time with it I would say it does perform as well as my 400watt hid , it produced the best most potent meds I have grown to date, as far as LED goes I feel I have been very fortunate in the timing I got involved I kinda missed the earlier generations that we're underpowered,so for my experiences with them it's hugely positive and my intention is to go 100% LED for everything from my meds to indoor veg production during winter, to supplemental lighting for houseplants,to regular household lighting, the drop I saw in the past few months on my electric bill is wholly pleasant seeing a drop of 50bucks with the first light and another 75 after the bmii675xg due to being able to dial back fans and exhaust no longer supplementing uvb it's not just that the light uses less power!
It's the whole gambit, I would say if you want me to recommend a light of the two I have I say both are great the mars2 is inexpensive and covers a 3.5ft square very well with deep penetration, you can't really beat their prices, now the budmaster is more expensive but has some distinct advantages over other lights like the ability to hot swap modules they have one power supply to one light cluster and can be changed out on the fly from the outside without even taking the light down! If you need a new part the rest of the light still works ! This kind of redundancy is excellent the power output of this light is godlike! It's much brighter to look at if your as stupid as I was and look directly at it than looking at a 600watt light running at 110% power I did look at the 600 with a super hps installed brand new bulb running overdriven now I don't advise anyone do stupid stuff like I do but I wanted the comparison in my experiences so just before I installed the bmii675xg I looked at the 600recovered then looked at the LED and omg! I was blind for 10 min and stuck on stupid it was like getting hit with a baseball in the face! The hps did not hit me like that it was more like some jerk on the highway with kc light not turning them off as you pass each other, offensive but not as impacting, the 4x4 tent seems much Fuller of light ,there has been no yellowing leaves under the canopy and zero popcorn fluff on the og kush, so penetration is greater than hps, I really feel the time of LED is here, buyers need to be aware there's still alot of bad LED lights out there and we need to be careful,I would say if your not gonna go with a company other than TopLeD or budmaster II check that it boasts similar specs or better for comparable prices, but I know these two brands are legit and are worth your consideration,
Both also have great customer service ship fast and stand behind their products
And no I'm not just saying this stuff cuz I made a deal with them, it's what I really think, yes I did make a deal but that deal was to report my honest opinion good or bad, my reputation is important to me and I want ppl to trust me in what I say is what I truely feel, if I make a mistake I will be the first to admit it, I'm not into buttkissing or lip service if anything turns out to suck about these lights I will report that too
For me I'm not gonna lose Anything but a couple plants at worse, and I was quite happy with the great JDL and I-power ballasts and t5 units I was using before, but so far it's turning out good for all involved
Ok so that's where I'm standing at current with the addition of LED lights I hope this helps answer some questions
