as you can see she has some major problems, if anyone knows whats up by looking at these(Corey?u round?) ,please dont be shy im quite sure shes gonna be low yeilding and take extra time if i figure out the problem, im switched over to the bpn high yield plan and she has started to look a bit better, i think its ph related the nute /tea soup tested 8.9!!! after flushing with ph 5.8 ppm 900ish solution runoff was 7.0-7.2 , ok well thats it fer tonight :thumb:

Re: BID 5.1 Digital Dual JDL 600s - 4x4 - Blue Planet Nutrients - Organic Coco Perpet

well it looks like theres lots of future possibilities with the smaller plants in the veg. tent. I dont even know what to think is wrong wth the GDP? sorry BFAM I'm not up on the organics your using other than the teas? I got a spook yesterday when I saw some rainbows floating in my poop soup. So now its a brand new bucket and I am done with the black (non-food grade) 4 gallon bucket pails. I am thinking it was some of the 203 or neem got in there but just dont want to take a chance. I cant wait to show ya'll what I come up with SOON re: a DIY vortex brewer. I will start a separate journal and show everyone so they can do something similar if they choose to do so.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble BID. You're my goto guy on coco, so can't offer much advice.

I know you'll sort it all out. :Namaste:

i think its a good idea to use a safe container glass being optimal, i have a 5 gallon aquarium im gonna start using for bubbleing teas, but a good food grade bucket is a must imho, im planning a vortex brewer too im just conflicted on what to use my 1 sub pump for, then again i do have 3 swiming pool pumps i could use thats some serious water movement so maybe thats the best option then i can used my small one for a bubble bucket im feeling the itch to try a hydro again after finding a way to use common bleach safely to keep the evil pythium away, done right plants love a little clorine, check your labels on your nutes & its a micro nute they need, as described you only need 3-4 drops for a couple gallons res soulution, so look for that to pop up soon in dis journal that and much bigger flowering plants, i may use coco /hydroton "dog chow" mix as a medium(that way power outage is not as big a prob), i wanna grow some big ass girls 4 in the big tent,4 vegging, and the rest can be used for my breeding program in the small tent,if i time things right i can be harvesting a plant once a month to 6 weeks, or things will go as they have been and i just harvest whenever one is ready lol

yeah i think i did this with my habitual laziness and not testing ph and such that i know i should be doing, so i let myself just assume all was fine .till it was blazingly obvious something was NOT!! lol so not the fault of bpn, coco, jdl, organics, the hulk or pepperoni pizza, its all me,lol, i will /am fixing it ,just after i get thru slaming my face into the wall and punching myself in the nuts!:thumb:

The best lessons are the ones learned with experience. We as growers learn our own bad habits as well, when it reflects in the plants. Laziness with an indoor garden will burn you every time. I agree with your plan of fewer better producers. Same reason I have been playing with hydro as well. Get the temps under control is the first step to healthy hydro. I also like the individuality of bubble buckets, as it does allow you to cycle each plant as needed.

Can't seem to let go of coco, as it just works... for anything I choose to grow in it.

Re: BID 5.1 Digital Dual JDL 600s - 4x4 - Blue Planet Nutrients - Organic Coco Perpet

I am going to use a 30 gallon conical tank and for pumps all I will need is one of my bigger air pumps. The air bubbling will lift the water and then as it exits the nozzle at an angle it will start the whirlpool. I want to run my 200 watt PV panel to power the brewer as I wont have to worry about power outages killing my soup. Then again if the inverter went down same effect. It's always something.
I will keep a parts list and ill take notes so I can help someone else if they so choose that they also want to build one.

This is the little mars lander looking cone tank. 30 gallon, might build two one for veg and one for bloom? They will ship this size via the brown truck but cant on the bigger 60. Still gotta figure if 30 gallons will be enough? Might have to build two per plant stage. I dont want to have to run 4 though.

i agree on coco, i have tried many things and im most happy in coco, its my comfort zone, i like how you can treat it like soil with amendmets n such or run it like hydro and get great results either way, im just wanting to try a bucket with a bigger plant starting out and reg strain rather than last time it being started with reg auto seeds, having to cull males and they never really got down into the res, so i just wanna see if i can do it, most likely will be gdp or blue dream:thumb:

i just worry bout freshness thats alot of tea , you do dilute it 10:1 right? i do it 10:1 for a straight concentrated 2-3 day old tea, very different than my nute poop soup thats only cut by 50% & sometimes i do it 75% soup, ,after 2-3 days it starts bcoming more fungal less bactos, fungal is more for trees and long life plants, but for herbs and veggies you want the bacterial dominate teas faster acting and better for soils that are fresh ,disturbed more often, when my teas get old they go out to the big trees and the soil that remains fairly undisturbed:high-five:

Re: BID 5.1 Digital Dual JDL 600s - 4x4 - Blue Planet Nutrients - Organic Coco Perpet

Once a tea hits it's prime we will call it, it's good for about 3 days. If you refrigerate it then it can last 7-10 days. I tend to make about 3-5 gals at a time.

Re: BID 5.1 Digital Dual JDL 600s - 4x4 - Blue Planet Nutrients - Organic Coco Perpet

im fortunate enough to have an oxygen concentrator for my health, but i sometimes use it to pump up to 6 liters per min into my teas witha 36 inch air diffuser so i can get a rolling boil look with pure o2 a foamy tea can take as little as 6 hrs, and can keep teas fresh much longer, i dont think spiffy would be to keen on me storing it in the frig i do have a mini frig i could use for a gallon maybe 2 but it gets used so fast i never need to store it :thumb:

I am not positive but I believe the vortex whirlpool action keeps it in that zone as long as your giving it enough food to stay alive, like I said I don't know for sure but will find out, so "I'll be back" lol.

one of the biggest influences in my playing a guitar god and a hero to me, this is utterly crushing to me.
I hate when artists I listened to pass...of course a few didn't wait to get old!

Drive by BID, another sad thing. George Jones just died too. I know not alot here are older C&W fans, but that man had a unique sound and a range of sound beyond compare. I just found this journal, so if you don't mind I'm going to do a speed read, 'looking at pic's' and catch up on the strains and where you are with them. Till later,,, Keepem Green
