BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Shootout

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

You put a filter 'sock' around the pump. Such are made & sold online for that purpose. #2, submersible pumps have no bearings exposed to water and tiny bits of abrasives that may slip through the filter, so no such fears should stand in your way. #3, UPS can find you! Conclusion:

Put a sock in it
sweet sounds like a plan now do you think a standard athletic sock size 15 with extra heel padding suffice, or a filter bag from sherwin w. paint supply designed to filter paint out of expensive paint pumps do, i have both handy

Okay, you can start it up, now... I'm here.
:cheesygrinsmiley:
whew! :phew:i was thinking i may have to scrap the project if big "J" fails to arrive ,a resident hydro guru

Before mass digital data storage I traveled and lived in a van, following construction work. I schemed & dreamed of a micro-fiche library for portability. Since I lost my last Mac with many hundred$ worth of iTunes, and all photos that weren't uploaded here, I think that I won't be doing that shit again. Streaming entertainment and a Wiki donation will have to do it for me. Standard HD in my new Mac Mini will have to stay mostly empty.

Go find a Windmill Tower to kick over, Don Quixote.
well i do see a good solution on the marketplace the new solid state hdd with no moving parts and extreme speeds , however the prices are doing the same thing led lighting does to me ,,prohibiting me from buying, a cant afford a giggajillion clams for 3-4 tb storage, so i suffer with old fragile slow tech like most of us must, but im wondering if multiple smaller ssd's would not be the better way to go, that way if a drive does fail i dont loose all my eggs in one mighty swoop
Subbed..

I was hoping someone would try hydro who hadn't done it before. THis is quite a treat. I will learn alot from this grow.

Cheers!
well holy flaming melted cheese filled opossum balls!!! it 1970s g!!!! where in the name of frozen over hell have you been you big ol sexy man you?!? i feared the worst (lost interest in cannabis!) but prayed for the best (so ripped on your uberpot you lost your keyboard) and damn glad to have you here my fellow sasquatch!!!

Put a sealed wrap of fancy fine paint filter first, then put the sock on over that ;)

whats wrong with tights..erm pantyhoses thingies for americans...

ultra fine mesh, much better than socks imho...pretty close to teabag or maybe even better...not sure.

but to be honest you only need a tiny bit of filtering..if im thinking its like sand/rock dust, you probably want the stuff free flowing in its bag so it can be agitated for maximum saturation.

the paint filter should be enough having used it to filter budder it left no fine debris thing is designed for a 5 gallon bucket so there would be ALOT of extra material to deal with, zipties? hmm

dudes!!!! cmon man...some super duper geeks in here with all the latest shiney shizzle.....and no one is talking RAID?!?!

sigh...checked the fuse?

2 shitty drives...raid 1 or better...job done
sure i thought about raid, but you see 3gb drives are not cheap, the plan was /still is to do raid but they should last long enough to afford the second drive, its the media storage drive so setting it up as raid is not exactly the same but what ev ah!! pshaaaa!!! lol

did you mean 3Tb drives? who would have a 3gig drive these days :)

you can pretty much use any drives for a raid. if your using it for media then you would want raid 0+1 or better.
the mirroring would end your data loss problems and the stripping would boost throughput and streaming capabilities of the media.

i think it may even be possible to use a bunch of shitty drives to mirror a large drive.

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

well i'll get educated on raid while the 3 terrabyte drive is getting rma'd

even hairier backs

You can get raid cheap in NAS devices. Check out Seagate Black Armor NAS. They have a raid models and they include seagate bare bones backup (it is Acronis) for like 5-10 computers. If a drive fails it will e-mail you!

i'll just have to open the manual! eeegads!!
Only after all else fails, read the distructions. When assembling IKEA stuff.

For super high tech shit, I own a MacMini. NOT self-servicable

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

guys n gals i have a question its pretty serious i suppose, does anyone know of a strain that is particularly good at helping someone get off of or at least drastically cut back on opiate consumption/tolerance/withdrawal symptoms ?? my tolerance has gone up the last few months i went from having a stockpile to not quite or barely making it to my next appointment, the doc is more forgiving and understanding of this than i am, im disgusted with myself because i feel like i let myself get out of control, i had a bad bout of pain right after the move, took more than normal and unlike in the past have been unsuccessful in going back to my normal (less than prescribed) i never even knew what these things were really before my disability, anyway im looking for some help with strains, i dont think i can completely quit them as i do have serious pain and they do help, i just want to regain the control i have always had, i do have decent will power, i quit ciggys several yrs ago :thumb:

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

I will share a bit of my experience with *piates, but doubt it will help. Opi*te addiction is organic, and willpower alone can leave one a writhing mess. My city/county paid for my m*thadone treatments, but I alone weaned off it... took many months. Twice. It's been ten years now, and I still dream of fluffy cloud support. If ever in a Hospice, I know what I'll be wanting. MMJ does not substitute IMO, different receptors. I never knew a junkie who smoked weed, though many gobbled garbage pills like benzos.
If I prayed at all I'd be praying for you, BID. I am directing positive thoughts and hopes at you.

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

thank you mr gator i heed your sage wisdom,
i've read countless stories of ppl who have used mmj to quit or greatly reduce dependence on these pills, my ability to endure pain and suffering is second to none! countless doctors have told me i have an unbelievable pain tolerance, believe me im not fond of it, but my desire to be in control of my life is a mighty force i will do this, whatever the method, i am just hoping to make it a little easier, but if not so be it:thumb:

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

BID - consider trying this or a variation of it: write down a reasonable plan to wean down, a little at a time. Cut your # per day down by one per day, each week (as an example) - until you get to a reasonable level. If you've been up front with your doc, review it with him/her, perhaps. But, put it all in writing (for yourself only if desired) and keep track of it like your life depends on it - because it could in some respects. Hold yourself to it, if it gets tough, make note of it - good day? Make note of that too. The writing it all down will increase it's significance and motivate you through accountability, as well as provide a release in order to put it behind you. No matter what, don't cheat of lie to yourself. The writing it down makes it harder to do so, also.

Everyone must blaze their own trail, but this worked for me. It ain't easy, but it's very doable. I have no doubt you can do it brother.

As far as cannabis, I think it can be very helpful personally, though it won't do the same job. For me, a strain that helps me feel "up" helps best during day, and a good indica to sleep. I'm kinda missing the indica at the moment, but I'm hoping the Pre 98 Bubba will be that for me perhaps. :). I do use cannabis as a surrogate sometimes - as much as anything it helps calm my nerves, and allows me to forget jones'n a bit, ya know? I believe Gator's right about it not being a great substitute per se', but as a nerve calmer, a substitute reflex, and a distraction it does help me some.

I'm no expert on any of this, so take what I say with that in mind... but I can relate to your situation in many ways and wanted to share what has helped me. In fact, PM me any time if you want to discuss further or just want to vent, chat, whatever. We have similar pain sources/manifestations and perhaps a similar journey in some ways.

:goodluck: brother. I know you can do this, and I know it can be done. :circle-of-love: :cheer:

P.S. plants are looking great! Oh man am I jealous of your Blue Dream. :yummy:
