Beginning To Understand Her

Picked up some high grade alcohol Rum151 , packed a big jar full of leaf, budlets ,and stems, poured myself and roomie a papaya rumbo to bless the occasion, and the rest covered the weed. lid is on the jar and nature will take its course. I will check it in a few days:thumb:

After the absorption of the triches, you can concentrate it by letting the jar sit open after you take the bud out. It will evaporate, leaving a more concentrated liqueur de cannabis in the jar.

The weed has soaked up all the liquid. I see little drops of Rum forming on the sides and top of the jar. Green and amber liquid are on the bottom. Meh , I might have put too much cannabis in the jar. Nature is doing its thing. I am going to add some water to help things. I cant afford another bottle of alcohol.:thumb:

Oh I hope you did not add water. Just strain what you have and save the remains if you think it did not give up everything and freeze it to add to your next tincture...

Too late Buck, I added one and a half pint of water. Just enough to cover the mix and allow some movements of stuff. I have a crock-pot that I will use to reduce the mixture after straining and squeezing through my blue ,water hash bag. The plant matter will go in the compost after drying.:)

You should be safe with a 1/2 pint... after all it was 151! :cheesygrinsmiley: it just messes up the ratio during reduction as the water will evaporate last... if you are going "all the way" :cheesygrinsmiley: then it won't matter

Hey all, just a few thoughts and update action, serious action.
This year will be my third year growing my own medicine. I have learned , and matured into a grower of fine cannabis with the information and help from members of this forum. Along the way met a few growers that dropped into my life at the right time with info, gear, advice.
Yesterday I met a Master, he will be getting some of my seeds, cause he asked for some after smoking some of what I grew last year. He was very impressed. He understood teroir ,as he is also a 5 star chef. Then he blew my mind, concerning teroir. this is what he said, " Take pollen from Lavender spread on the bud as it is growing and before maturity . The flavor transfers and makes some awesome smoke, not to mention butter." Now I have visions of fish sauteed in this butter.
Ok that was the fun stuff, now for the serious.
I am beginning to think I am clone crazy! Yesterday I picked up two MK Ultra clones from my local collective. I then came home and put the all clones in sun for 3 hours while I cleared out the grow closet. I then modified my aero cloner to accept solo cups that I modified with a soldering gun to resemble net pots. To hold the cups, I used material included in the cloner as shipping wrap. Its made of neoprene and limp. I had to support it with bamboo sticks attached to the neoprene with paperclips(poked though neoprene and twisted around bamboo), the supports are on the underside. There were holes already cut in the material, solo cups fit snug , (perfect). Disassembled the table in the grow room, stripped the reflective blanket off of the wall(its painted blue), cleaned my grow room(closet) with SNS Fungicide. The redwood closet and SNS smell fantastic together. Cleaned my cloner tank assembly, put the cloner in the closet, aero tank filled with water (5 gallons), added very little (literally a tiny splash) of the SNS veg state formula. Left my lights were they are. placed my fan better, now attached to the wall and will not come off in a quake, blowing just above the tops of the leaves. Placed Rock-wool in 8 prepared cups and placed 8 clones in them (1 in each) marked the cups for easy id, and put in the modified aero cloner. 8 empty unmodified cups fill the empty holes in the neoprene.
The MK Ultra clones are not in cups yet, that will happen today.
12 Clones bound for mother hood: not in cloner MK Ultra(2) Super Lemon Haze(1), Cookies(1), in cloner Ogre(1), Lavender Kush(1), Omrita Rx3(1), AC/DC (2), Sour Diesel (1), Sharks Breath(1), The White(1) . The Super Lemon Haze and Cookies clones are in soil.
Went to to my friends and spent the night, came home this morning and checked on them, they are all very happy.:cheertwo:
Cant wait to get a camera to show how happy they are. May you all be well and safe this weekend.

I see you're keeping busy! I have made friends since being here, I consider you one of them. I don't know if there is anyone on here from where I am. It would be great if there was.

Time to kick it up a notch!! I found another companion plant that is also edible! Lovage, Latin: Levisticum Officinale . This plant is thought to improve the health of almost all plants. Like marigolds ,borage and geraniums, it is considered a "magic bullet" or "wonder drug"of companion planting.
I built two planter beds yesterday , one is 3'x3'x3', the other is 4'x4'x4'. I am feeling very sore today, I can still touch my toes(Bending over while standing, legs straight), so I am not too worried, just gonna be a slow day for me. I ain't tripping, I did hella.
The mothers are liking what I did. My SLH and Cookies clones have doubled in size, time to re-pot, sometime today. 1/2 of my clones were bought discounted, The White, Ogre,Lavender Kush,Sharks Breath, Sour Diesel, and Omrita Rx3, due to their poor condition at purchase. I paid 5 bucks apiece. After one day of the LED/cfl they were happy. Now that i have them in my aerocloner, and a little BPN they are ecstatic. My grow Buddie, took a look in the closet and asked "what happened to the crappy plants?". I said, "you can't tell can you?" he said "nope" with a big smile across his face. He had to look at the labels.
I think I am doing alright. No bugs, No burns, no mold indoors. Temp fluctuating between 79 Day and night 65 deg f. in the middle of the closet. Fan is on constant, lights still at 20/4.
I am out of funds till the 1st, but I have plenty of material, and work to do. :peace:

My ladies are looking good. Trying to decide on which ones I want to keep as mothers. So far the line up looks like this ,3 groups 1st group : Super Lemon Haze, Cookies, ACDC,and MK Ultra. 2nd group: Ogre, Lavender Kush, Sharks Breath, Omrita Rx3. 3rd group:Sour Diesel , The White.
I have yet to select from my seedlings, no sex yet outdoors, but real close. In a week or two and I should have signs.
I have started some radishes, beets, cucumbers and tomatoes in rock-wool . they are in my grow closet and looking good.
:peace:

Going on my 3rd year growing I have leaned a few tricks for growing outdoors.Companion planting to discourage pests , attract good bugs and birds, teroir to influence flavor, camouflage to hide my grow, water retention methods to save water and keep the ground cool on hot days, mosquito netting to keep the hornworm moth off my ladies, outdoor raised beds are the shit, ladybugs under the mosquito netting will stay there in the raised bed and eat hella bugs for hella days, garden spiders are your friend.

Today I built a trellis out of 14' tall bamboo from my garden, prune tree branches cut this winter and string. It is 14 ' wide and 12' tall. I will build one more like it. The trellis serves two purposes, it creates a false wall that is pretty strong and holds the pole beans, which will grow up and over my garden on strings, hiding my garden and giving it much needed partial shade during the hot dry summer. Culled 6 males today, just 1 Sour D and 2 Nigerian Beaches that have yet to show signs. The rest of my sprouts are doing well, I have been finding a few aphids on them, which I squish. Little suckers are smart, jumping off as I zero in on them, they don't know the power of the tweezer, when they do its too late for them.I will treat on the morrow.:lot-o-toke::peace::Love::adore::MoreNutes:

You could do your own "thin mint" and plant Chocolate Mint with your ladies too ;)

Been thinking along those lines. I have lots of mint in my yard. My current favorite is Pineapple Mint. I am also considering Lemon Thyme with the SLH for that Super Lemon Punch in da taste buds. One other thing on my plate flavor wise, I am going to plant tomatoes at the base of one of my boxes with the Basil growing in the top part along with the ladies. Gonna call it Marinara . I already have a strain called Meatball, its a 7 way cross, has a smoked beef flavor( i know, its weird), indica Dom size wise, but effects are sativa after 30 minutes(might pop some just to go with the Marinara). MMmm, Marinara with Meatballs. :)

Started a new compost pile with leaves of borage , sorrel, a broccoli head ,and a little fennel(the ladies love it). My Sugar peas are over 7' tall !

I can't even plant peas till Patriot's Day :cheesygrinsmiley: The garlic has been in since fall, a squirrel dug one up the other day and they look OK

I can only dream about having an outdoor garden, no grass here in the big city. I wish I was handy enough with tools, just reading what you said makes me wish I had some power tools. I can't wait for you to post the pics.

Hey Queenie, tool use takes practice. I have been around tools all my life( some of them people). I want to encourage you to learn how to use some basic tools, Hammer, screw driver, wood saw and hack saw, pipe wrench, adjustable wrench(some call it a crescent wrench) , c-clamps & spring clamps(adjustable clamp for holding metal or wood while you work it,works great as a third hand) Ratchet and sockets. Knowing how to use just these basic tools will allow you to do a lot of the minor upkeep in your domicile, and open the door to more complex tools and their proper use. You don't have to but them all at once and used ones in good shape are cheaper than buying new, and they will do fine as a learning set. I can't wait to see your grow room after you learn how to use just these.:peace:

I do have a few of the basics around here like 2 hammers, 2 screwdrivers, flathead and the pointy one, forget what it's called..lol.. I use to have a cute little pink socket set that my gay friend had bought me from Avon. It was cute and small and could handle only small jobs like tightening things. I may hit the hardware store up around the corner from my house, was there once, didn't have much but I am sure I can find the basics there.
