Hells yes. I am going to try a sog outdoors next season, 4 2'x4' x1' deep raised beds, with screens to keep out bugs, and a blackout tarp for light control. The resulting colas should not get higher than 4' tall. I have purchased three Tagetes Lemmonii Compacta , (Mexican Marigolds ) they will get about 4 ' tall, acting as a screen for the beds and a deterrent for some pests. I will buy a few more soon. Also, they are one of my fave sunflowers.
 
how do u deal w/smell when flowering outdoors. i realize the laws r much different where u are. around here, as in a lot of states, u can go to PRISON for a very long time for ANY grow...even just for urself.

Hey paw-paw. How I try to manage the smell, is by using extra fragrant flowers, around , and in the garden. I have Jasmine(over 50' tall )mmm Jasmine, 3 Angel Trumpet "trees" (Brugmansia ) which are super fragrant,and a lemon tree, oh how I love the smell of the lemon tree blossoms. The Mexican Marigolds I am adding also have a strong scent. With all the aromatic flowers, the smell of my MMJ is only evident when you are in the garden next to the plants. Hope this answers the question.

My second grow has been flowering for 3 weeks now. Have grown marigolds along side my cannabis plants. Seems to help with odor control.

Cool thanks for the practical. How effective are they? I don't remember if you are growing in or outdoors.

I`m growing indoors. Have a 7x7x7 room built in my garage. I think it helps, when I open up the door I smell a slight odor of cannabis. Wife says she smells more odor. It`s a tossup. Gotta help though. MHO.

Thanks for the advice. The exhaust fan in my grow room exhausts into the garage itself. When entering the service door, a slight odor is smelled. Not a problem as the garage is large and in the middle of 6 acres.
 
Harvest 96% complete, one Peruvian #1 half harvested will go the distance till Dec 31 /Jan 1. Mixed the soil from my pots back into the ground roots included, planted some beets, peas, cabbage, radishes, kale, broccoli rabb, borage and started a 100% vegan compost pile. Also cleared hella space, and will be building 2 green houses and 4 planter boxes over the winter. I love gardening, especially when it turns out well. Have a great winter ahead of me, and hope Ya'll do too.

Hmmm I was looking for some names. S2Js Cannabisdome , will be big enough for 2 or 3 Sativa monsters and allow me to finish them in style. S2J's Cannabis Halls( 8 planter beds) will hold 128 clones total, 16 in each(2'x2'). These will be grown sog style. This will be my BPN clone army, which I will use to destroy the Dark Side of the Force and such.

Nah, I want to keep it small. I figure a 4'x8' total area would be sufficient for my experiment. It will allow me to expand on a theory i have.
