Be Aware of the European-Corn Borer

Hawk, Sphinx, tomato, aka hummingbird moth, found this morning, right on top of tripod netting. Dry as a bone, was NOT there at 9 PM

Beheaded by a bat IMO, I see the bats almost every night, after sunset when the moths come & at all hours after dark.

Hey thanks for the great photos! Wow that is just incredible! Great share and find dude!

Unfortunately your gonna piss off Rico because you forgot to upload to off topic and strip the logo, you must have been just super excited to upload!

Very very nice quality shots, + Reps for the find.

What did you fix, Trichs? :scratchinghead: Did you put the head back on that moth? :skeptical:

Watermarked or not, they are graphic, close-up photos of a decapitated animal.

Maybe we can keep one pic :geek:

At least in this one I can still imagine "Mothy" with a head on her thorax :dreamy:

:rip: Mothy

:Namaste:

i saved mothy for mr squiryl rico!

more gnats today Les, let me know if you prefer I not use, your worm yard, as our bug yard.

i will gladly apologize, refrain & remove today's bug pic.:high-five:

is the 420 logo ok, on this? or should Ricorico always re-upload these as off topic? :scratchinghead:

thank you

Hmm... yeah try to keep it cannabis related. There is a 420 Logo on there that shouldn't be, mind you this thread is posted in the on-topic area for cannabis, so the premise of the thread relates to cannabis. Not just pictures of every little bug you find :thumb:

Thanks again :passitleft: for worm alert! :high-five:

I got to the bug store and back in record time, if you do what I did, you should remove your front lics plate, I only buy cars that have the back plate on the hatchback. Hatchback should be deployed to open, when doing similar runs like Bug Alert emergencies, lol.

Hope they are hungry!

thanks for the bug yard space :circle-of-love:, let me know if this traipsing is diminishing the worm borer topic,

I'll stop jumping your white picket fence.:thanks:

 i will struggle w remembering the xtra clicks to mark pics off-topic but, i did notice that off-topic was added to the drop-down, under the upload images tab, that is a great new addition. thnx for the reminder, sorry, i did not see yr msg in time to fix those pics .

thanks for being so tolerant with your :goof: neighbor, a couple clicks to the north

yes, i did find a worm, this is from fluxy, today. moths have been relatively scarce so far, i see about 4, on average, after sunset, the bats just started coming every night, saw the big owl last night, two nights ago, a little bat flew w/ in 2 ft of my face! closest encounter yet.

your garden looks awesome!:thumb: i'll be by soon.

For your plant, I would say you could still apply some if you wanted to. I used the dust all the way up until ~3 weeks before harvest. It's just really difficult to apply and actually get the worms to eat it. They can still be in there even if you dust, so at the end of the day manual inspections are the way to go.

The HORROR! Be Aware of the European-Corn Borer

The HORROR! just when I almost thought I knew what I was doing to control pests. Lester :thanks: right again!, the Lady Bugs will not find every worm/caterpillar, found another caterpillar in the middle of another patch of moldy dead bud on Fluxy, today.

the horror
