BayAreaStoners New Beginning. Are you in?

:thanks: HawaiianDuck! how did u spend your time waiting for the tsunami to hit?? Glad your ok too!

Mahalos BAS! I spent the time chillin', smokin', workin' in the grow room with my girls listening to the radio news coverage. Up until about 10:30 (its eta was 11:05) I was still debating on whether to go to a good vantage point to watch, but decided it would be funner (and more productive) to spend the time with the girls. They are my addiction right now ;)
Aloha

Hey guys.. I am posting this incase I can't get back to the computer in the next couple of days.

As you know, I am a parent and a caregiver for my rapidly aging grandparents. Well tonight my daughter the big helper she is, was helping my grandmother into the house and my grandmother fell on my daughters arm against the metal door frame and my daughter can't move her fingers, she is currently at the ER with dad and I am hedding there now.. Im praying that it's nothing more then a bruise! But not being able to move your fingers is not a good sign.. but I have a very strong willed daughter who takes after her mother, so I am staying positive she will pull through this like I do! With a smile and a laugh! And most of the time, she does! God Bless my baby girl...

I am very sorry to hear about your daughter getting injured. Likely a doc will tell you that everything is OK before you get this, but I can tell you that the chances of an injury you described leading to any permanent damage is about nil. She will be fine, the lack of movement is her body(subconscious mind) protecting the injury. The nerves are very well protected in the arm, so at the very worst I would guess she had a light fracture in her arm that is causing the immobilty, or at best a bad bone bruise. Not a doc here, but been thru loads of 1st responder type 1st aid training as well as plenty injuries. I am sorry to hear about it though, sounds painful for her no matter what, but like you said she has your strength, so she will be a trooper and get thru it in a snap!! :goodluck:

Bummer Babe. She'll be ok kids bounce back. Hell I seen mine hit their heads so hard I thought brain drambge, But hell they smarter than me with no bad side effects. Hope shes ok is all I can say.

Glad to hear she's ok and I think it's possible to harbor negative feelings about anyone at any time, even if it's family or someone you love. It's just part of being human and when you see a duck you call it a duck, especially if it tastes like one! It's much easier to handle when you don't try to sugar coat it in your own mind...although what you think and what you say don't always need to be the same ;)

And yes...PICS AND UPDATE PLEASE!!! Those CFL's look like some beasts! :)

Afternoon BAS, Glad your daughters fine and I know the hell demitia can bring my mom was suffering with it while my dad was dying of lung cancer. My mom who never used to swear would start cursing my dad out accusing him of doing the neighbors wife( she was a nurse who used to help them all the time ), of course my dad couldn't since he was on oxygin and could hardy walk to the living room. It was hell till we finally got my mom into a home. That was the worst 2 years of my life. But I'm glad I could be with them both every day till the end . So even though things get really nasty we always remember how they took care of us when we were small or sick . Things always work out and when you mix in a lot of love it's even better. God bless you and your family BAS . :thumb: oh by the way that was the best video I've ever seen here !! :goodjob: :welldone: :yahoo:
