Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

Lol, you 2 are like the good angel and the bad angel looming over my shoulder. Dutch is like "NO NO NO!" and GG is like "I've got 8 but 1 more wouldn't hurt" lol

Good news everyone! The pots are here so I can transplant later on today. Hopefully we can flower these babies next week
:passitleft:

Glad to hear your pots made it in now get on that transplanting! When you have the time of course !

So surprised to look in the tent this morning and see one of my seedlings looking a it different!

After closer inspection I have come to find that one of my BadAzz Kush seedlings is a Triploid!

Interesting and looks cool but unfortunately this won’t do for my Pheno Hunt! I only want top shelf plants for my mother room and taking a risk with this mutant isn’t in the agenda! I’ll still grow her out but now I’m down to 2x BadAzz Kush to select from!

Why we are planning no kids lol!
hahahahahahahaha Have you seen this Prof ,Shed !!! Planning !!!!! heeheee Love your optimism on natures plans for you dutchman1990. I said that at no2 ( 6 kids ago!!) Seeing the love and attention you give your girls it will be a miracle ( or tragedy) if your not a parent before long. Planned indeed !!!.

fingers crossed for the transplants mate.
"1 more wouldnt hurt" Not me it wouldn't!! heehee. Once you have the love of kids to bring up , it gets addictive. been the other end with adult kids and grandchildren and all the time in the world . Realised ex and I didnt actually like each other once the job was mainly done. lol
I escaped when she went to the shops!!!.
Met mrs GG Mk3 (25 years younger than me thankfully) and we couldnt not have babies in such a great marriage. Best move ever. Love having so many princesses too now (3) . At least while they think i am cool !!!. Have made cages with wheels for their teen years to keep lads away and pictures of their 5 adult brothers and me holding shovels on posters for school notice boards !!!!

I’m excited to see what these Barney’s seeds can do! Looking forward to a strong group this grow!
We got each other here mate. love the community grows.

The transplant is compete! I went to take some pics and the camera ran out of battery lol. They look good in their new homes and it doesn't look like they'll outgrow these pots. I made sure the spider came along and wasn't evicted also

Now we wait again and as soon as I see some improvement we shall flip to flower

Pics will follow shortly....

Voila! A nice clean up will do them the world of good right now. Ive not used pots this big before and damn they're heavy after you water them. Flowering is getting closer....

The Other Girls....

POG didn't receive a transplant today but she will soon. I've noticed some thrip activity again recently and will spray the plant tomorrow. The two new arrivals are doing well and have just hadn't their first watering or dunking I should say. I was expecting the clay pebbles to all float away but they stayed in the pots. I let them sit in the solution for a minute or so before removing them and putting them back under the light....

happy happy happy ladies. what size are they prof. I used some 27ltr and they loved they space ( last coco grow) Roots hit the bottom within 2 weeks and had some peeking out all sides as well. love the fabric pots and air pruning. Still have mixed feelings about using nft for summer over pots of coco on drip.
look great in those bigger pots though Prof.

These are 37ltr. When I transplanted the root balls on both plants were solid and hardly any soil fell off. They definitely needed the space. This should see us through to the end now. I don't think I'll ever go back to plastic pots for soil. I saw some fabric flower beds and was wondering wether you could grow multiple plants in one pot well. There are all different sizes and I've found some that'll fit my tents perfectly. It'd probably work with clones from the same strain pretty well but strains with different requirements would probably be an issue

i hear you there mate. would love a soil bed no-till. Have been composting some nice nutes with dandilions , banana , skins ,egg shells , bone meal , mussel shells , all my veg waste from food and so much coco ,perlite and clay balls from previous harvests , garden waste ashes from burning and so far have yet to add soil. I think the big fabric pots sound perfect for multi-plant. Emilya and angrybird use beds i think this way too ?. I think it was angrybird who did a companion plant grow too with great success ( journal is on here somewhere) . This really stoked my interest on this method. One out-one in repeatedly with no major de-clutter ,pipe clean , pumps clean, pots washed out ending would be a luxury. Looks like trees are the order of the day.
How will larger pots aid with flowering cycle prof ? . Am i right in thinking roots are more or less set and stop growing once flowering auxins kick in ? . Would a week building veg roots and recovery not be of a better benefit ? . Genuinely curious on the logic/reasoning for 37ltr and into flower?.
I am with you on fabric over plastic pots too. i do wonder about leeching from the chemical side of plastic pots too. nasty , nasty biochemical toxic mixture ! . Nutes and chems we use could easily break down so.e of the composition sirely. look at ph down and how caustic that shit is. lol. I have had to resort to 20ltr plastic pots for my current Hulkberry ( financial reasons as usual.lol) but these new beans need the fabric pots if i am going drippers dtw . Will be glad to get this holiday out of the way tbh. Need to crack on and get this one established now.

Only us growers would ever want a holiday to be over so we can get back to the garden lol

Ever since I started growing I've wondered about growing multiple plants in a single pot. Mainly for ease really. I used to get caught out with pots drying out and having to water individually which means you may be constantly watering if you have a lot of plants. When I looked for info on the subject most people said that it was a bad idea because of the roots competing for space. I don't think that this would be a problem if the pot was 90x90 and a foot tall. As long as the plants didn't get too big I can't see an issue with it. Maybe a sea of green with clones that are given a very short veg time would work as well. It would make inspecting individual plants more tricky though as you ain't taking that pot out of the tent until the end lol

I don't know how long the roots keep growing once flowering is initiated but they grow strong during the flowering stretch. When I've put clones straight into flower they've had some good roots after they were harvested

POG is looking great. She'll need another trim soon and I'll transplant her in the coming week....

The seedlings are looking lovely but not much happening yet. This watering idea seems to be working well and the pebbles are holding enough moisture for a few day at the moment....

Hey 420! Things are moving ahead nicely now I'll be putting the Gorilla Zkittles and Orange Sherbert into flower soon. They are shrubs now and need a good thinning. The OS is so compact and I can't wait to see her stretch a bit. The GZ has so many growth tips that it's going to be interesting to see her flower....

This tent I should doing well though the thrips are coming back with a vengeance now. I've given the POG another spray with the milk but was wondering if thrips will eat seedlings? Should I treat them as well. They don't seem to be anywhere other than low down on the Phantom but they're moving up fast now. I may get some neem oil encase the milk doesn't work....

Hey VG! I càn see some good signs now so tomorrow I'll go ahead with the trimming and leaf removal. Hopefully we'll be flowering by the weekend. The thrips suck indeed but they seem manageable. Worst case senario I can get some pesticides if the milk doesn't work again. It's full fat this time though. I'd like them gone before flowering the POG as I don't want to be spraying anything on the buds milk included. Hope you're well m'dear :)

Thought I'd give the seedlings a little top up....

Plop! I leave them in there for a minute....
ORG_DSC00301.JPG

I'm still using the same water as we started with. I'll use it one more time then change it. I just check the ph is correct then put it in the cupboard away from light after I finished using it....
