Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

Fantastic start GG! What was that you were saying about your terrible germ rates lol
Loving the names!
Won't be long then I'll drop the Strawberry Lemonade and a BG 41
I love this site!

:passitleft::party:
I am stoked mate. Cannot fault these genetics at all.
With you on the 420 site comment Prof. Has given an even more enjoyable meaning to the growing and have met some great folks so far. Love the tips and rescues you often see and need to. Hate having to be "profiles" and supportive voices from the clouds. Hard enough remembering my real name , now i have an alter-ego to contend with and realise its me when addressed !!!. I am not used to an alter ego that doesnt involve crotchless knickers and slutty lipstick !! Heehee
I love this thread too. still feels like a hijack when posting any pics as is your journal too.
Need the names to keep current trends.lol naming my kids was a damn site harder though !! We went with family tradition and looked to nature for them. On birth , we go to our nearest window for the inspiration . Last Princess born is "Honey" as Honeysuckle was below the labour suite window and smelled beautiful. Oldest girl is "Robin" as was winter birth and Beautiful Little Red Breast had been chirrupping on a fence near the wards entrance.
Middle girl was a Summer home birth but she has insisted she now wants to be called Hayley !!! Horrible name.I had to explain about family traditions and not breaking them, but poor little "Rusty Bike" just cried more !!!!!!!! :yahoo:;)

I need to get the OS and GZ into some bigger pots ASAP. I can see symptoms of them becoming suffocated again. The OS has gone a bit droopy and the GZ has that same damage appearing on some of her leaves though it's no time as drastic as last time. I think that they want a transplant. The roots on the GZ grow very quickly indeed and she looks like a bush now. Some larger pots are on the way so it's a case of just waiting and hoping they don't slip too far. The Phantom is still kicking ass but she's going in the 10 gallon pot as well when they arrive....

Those 2 are in 7.5ltr pots and the OG is in a 17ltr pot. It's taking them about 3 days to use up their water now.

You post away my friend. I said at the beginning that this thread is for everything Barneys and is for everyone to use. The more the merrier as they say. Plus it takes some of the pressure off me :)

Am relieved at sizes. my biggest fabric pot is only 27ltr. lol. The pics make it hard to get sizes of stuff in real terms
Thanks prof

Hey 420! Today was my first day back at work and now I'm exhausted! I've been browsing the forum recently and I've seen people popping Barneys new strains left, right and centre. Made me jealous so I think that it's my turn again. Here's what I've been up to....

I actually did this last night but the internet was being rubbish and wouldn't let me post pics. These have been germinating for about 16 hours now. I'll go and check on them shortly as everyone has been having great success with these new seeds. I shall report back with my findings

Happy growing everyone

These beans are fantastic! In the previous post I said that i put these in the cubes about 16 hours ago but that was wrong. It was actually about 19 hours ago but it doesn't matter because look at this....

I'm not sure that I like these cubes though and I may remove the seedlings and put them into something more familiar. I think that the taproot is having a hard time pushing through the fibres. The reason I think this is because both seedlings appear to be growing sideways.

There you have it. The family is expanding :)

Pfft.... You are jealous? Lol.

Do you know where your 10 gallon bags are?

Lol. I know. There's something so satisfying about germinating new seeds

I won some 10 gallon pots but I was an idiot for not checking to see wether or not they shipped to the uk. Turns out they don't. I've perchased some though and hopefully they'll be turning up any day now. I really want to put them into flower now but they need the room

Brilliant Prof. Welcome.to the gelato too. Hope I can lag slightly behind now as I can pinch your methods and techniques lol. I am stunned by the 3 day germ from packet to plug , no soak and only used a little Superthrive. Had to do 2 lots of surgery to 1 of the Gz and also cookie. Both seemed to have an helmet within an helmet. Inner casing too I suppose. Had to nibble at the crown get the coty's free to open. They both sprang open as soon as I freed them up. Poor girls. All happy campers now though.

Lol. Nope, I'm following you this time!
That second layer under the seed case is the membrane. It can get stuck to seedlings when the case remains on them for too long. In the past I've had a few that have dried and been a real pain to remove. They must be removed reasonably quickly though as i found out. I left it on one of my Blueberry Twists and it suffered for it. I finally stepped in and removed it myself after about a week and the seedling had become all yellow and stunted. In the end I gave up waiting for it to recover after a couple more weeks and binned it. Lesson learnt. They're normally fairly simple to remove requiring nothing more than a good eye and a steady hand but every now and then you get one that is stuck on good. Using a little drop of water can help soften them up enough to remove them but if that doesn't work then the next best thing is saliva. No joke! Infact it's better than using water but I'm sure most people would prefere to try the water method first lol.

The Saliva tip will come on handy next time the Mother-in-law gets stuck in our kitchen drinking my sodding Coffee. Thanks Prof . Had a few casings to remove but never had the membrane ( or not seen it). Have had unexplained suicides but now realise could well have been this issue. No opening then head drips off ??. I was like Quincy for Cookies membrane but the little GZ had to be held down and her leaves squishing a tiny amount to prise the me apart enough to tackle. Felt like I was strangling it. Lol came back great though.
I have a 10 day holiday in 2 weeks so have all my girls under a 200w germ light. Wont get to put them under real light until I return so will be a slow couple of weeks I think. Planned but necessary stalling. Think I will be using wicking somehow for 10 days so planting out into tall adapted bottles to encourage longer roots during my aaay time. Praying they will be ok but another 3 weeks shouldn't add too much size to them at this stage anyway should it Prof. Maybe be timed for 5th node growing and topping for the 4-way hopefully. Am I close to being right on this one please Prof. Cant seem to picture "from seed to real vegging" time span atm
??

Gotta give Barneys credit, they got great strong genetics, NEVER had a prob, never had a bean not germinate, ever, not even after 5yrs in the fridge.
You can buy your seeds from a trusted seedbank but its always down to Genetics. They just do it real well.
Enjoy your,new,strains mate.

Hey Prof! Sorry I took so long to venture over and add this to the Barney’s fun group but here I am better late than never haha!

I ended up going with a heavy indica run of Pink Kush and BadAzz Kush!

Ill be dropping photos and growth updates in here as we go but today they all got sewed into some PromixHP and the show has begun! Now to see some little green heads pop through haha!

Good to have you back Dutch! Both those 2 sound great. I'm interested in the BadAzz Kush as I nearly got one once but went with the Vanilla Kush instead. The VK is an awesome strain which I'm going to run for nostalgia later on after some of these have finished up. My money's on the Pink Kush being the first to pop

They are good! I've not seen anyone loose a bean yet
