Bapple's 2015 Outdoor Grow - Autos & Photos

Prawn salad and wine, you are well provisioned. :) I'm surprised they aren't tossing pistils again. When did your last crop start flowering? It seems like they has a false start before solstice, and are now taking their time getting back to it. I'm don't grow outside, wish I could be more help - but they should be going now or soon I would think. :hmmm:

Yeah it's to hot to do anything

Isn't it just Spart?

I am a serious carnivore, but just could not face meat, that's how hot it is.

I know it's pretty crazy in the SOF also.

Stay cool Spart :thumb:

Howdy Carestaker!
This is my first real photo run. Grew an ASD last September which I harvested New Years Eve, but she just behaved like an Auto; she went into flower with the Autumnal equinox so have no real experience to fall back on where photos are concerned.

I hope your Sunday is going swimmingly :green_heart::surf::grinjoint:

Okay 420 Mag brethren, newsflash!!!

So this afternoon after lunchish, I was minding my business working like a dog when I decided to take a ciggie break, which I usually accompany with a walk around the gardens. I turn the corner to my vegetable patch and spot a man in a tree on the southwesterly wall of the property about 30 feet away from Narnia and my girls. :thedoubletake::thedoubletake:.:jawdropper: whaaaaat?

So I figure that our neighbours have decided to level down the trees as they had started blocking their sea view.

That side of the wall is the safest (or was the safest) as far as my grow was concerned because it runs along a private road which only leads to 4 ocean front properties and as the house is on a hill the road runs steeply downhill and is flanked on both sides by trees about 20 feet high so the entrance to Narnia was positioned facing there.

So I run to the kitchen and ask the lady who helps round the house and speaks the local language better than me to go tell the gentleman and his colleague that I expect them to climb over the wall and throw the huge pieces of tree that would inevitably fall into our property up when they are done, knowing fully well that the locals love a good meaningless chin wag and that would buy me the 5 or so mins I needed to run down to Narnia and move the pots into the deepest part of Narnia where there is light but no direct sunlight.

Sure enough as soon as she arrived under the tree and started talking to his colleague, he climbed down the tree to join in the chit chat (they all know one another, it's a small town) I then hotfoot it down to Narnia and lift all three girls out of their holes and into the hidey corner. Hotfoot it back to the house and try to look normal.

So sort of exciting - but the type of excitement I can do without. They only managed to chop down two of the trees so they will be back tomorrow to take down the other 4 and I will be prowling round the top floor verandas making sure that anyone that jumps in to pick up the chunks of tree that fall unto our property does not decide to have a nose around.

Here are my girls all huddled together in their hidey place and the empty holes where they were. Apologies for the blurry shots my hands were shaking like mad

Hope everyone has had a great start to their week :green_heart:

:riskybusiness: Shit eh. My one little auto is showing leaf curl from the heat i might have to go get some bottled water and give her a misting tomorrow morning :circle-of-love: they look great bapple good work:goodjob:

Hahaha, that's funny, I know what you mean though. A couple days ago the Dish guy shows up unannounced to hook it up. I got my plants outside in the backyard. I told him in spanish to wait a minute while he stood outside my gate. I ran to move the plants back inside the house and into a second bedroom, hidden under a sheet, LOL. It was a fun rush. :laughtwo:

Hello Bapple. Love all outdoor grows. Subscribed & all caught up now...whew, lol. Your yard is beautiful....especially that private cove where your ladies are. The native soil looks real fine....have you ever planted our plants in it? Your mention of France/Spain locale made me think of Tour de France, which I watch & where they are today. A few years ago both side neighbors painted their houses during the summer at the same time....from certain angles workers could see some of my yard. Back then I hadn't yet started growing indoors & had lots of plants going outside. Definitely the "noids", but it all turned out ok. So I know the feeling. Out here I'm "legal" so LE wasn't my worry, what I was concerned with was theft.
:goodjob: :Namaste:

Hello Cruizer, good to see you round these parts!

The rush as you put it was a bit rich for my 50 year old blood :rofl: and annoyingly the workers did not show up to finish the job today so have not moved my girls back into their spots.

Hope all is good with you and your garden :high-five:

Hello Brightlight, thank you for looking in.

Unfortunately I have both LE and theft to worry about here, but I am pretty sure I came out just in time - the tree that he was cutting was positioned where he could see into our property and the mouth/ entrance of narnia but not round the corner into narnia. The next tree they cut was the danger angle but had moved the girls by then.

Last year I did grow my 4 first girls in the ground, but was still an amateur at 420 - did not amend the soil properly, used tomatoe fertiliser and got a decent harvest for a newb, but the girls in the pots this year(the 4 I have harvested so far) have yielded about 75% more than last years girls. the soil does grow, great tomatoes, pepper, chillies, okra and sweetcorn though.

Still working my way through your brilliant journal, but a tad busy at the moment so progress is slow. Thanks for dropping by :thanks:

Glad all is well Bapple. It's been a little while since I've had one of those little shake ups. Going from a leisurely pace to 'maximum speed! freakout!', and then most excruciatingly, five minutes later, 'act normal'. Ah well, millions of years of evolution prepared us for this I suppose- growing cannabis.

Hello W, how are you and Weasel the younger doing?

Described perfectly W, LOL just when my nervousness about the grow had just about disappeared.

Hope your week is going well :allgood::green_heart:

Thanks Bapple. The young weasel has gone to see it's mom for the summer and I haven't heard much from it. I'll have to call and shake the tree tomorrow and see how it's doing. I know things are inclined to be a little difficult there, but he's a tough one. Things are good in my little paradise, I'm working very hard on the wild harvests, which come fast here, one after another, all sorts of plants, berries, fruit, and spring runs of fish and all sorts of different seafood. Many yet to come, then it will be the fall salmon runs and mushrooms and many different plants, and deer.
Unusual, slightly scary, amounts of sunshine and I've been laying in it every chance I get!
Well, it's bedtime for me and I wish you a great day and I hope you get the rest of that tree sorted out. )

It really sounds like paradise, all that bounty from nature!

Sleep well and hope you protect your skin from said 'scary' sunshine when you lay in it....

My wild ones dried out in a grand total of a week when wasn't here watered with 3x8l jugs for 4 plants all dead... Gotta find a place with more shade and maybe near a stream or something. It's just to hot this year...

Fucccccckkkkkkk can't do that with where i had mine to hard to get to. As it is carried it out there in a ruck sac and almost fell down a mountain lol.

Like you said next run you will probably have to choose somewhere closer to water. Based on where you are, I bet you could grow something like an ASD outdoors in the wild between September and Harvest December like I did last year and I watered very seldom cos it rained occasionally and it was in a pot.

I was actually thinking of doing a few photos on my terrace in 25l pots and train em like crazy keep em under a meter tall. But probably not just gonna start a indoor kit going in maybe 2 weeks to get it all. Gonna be doing a full line up of philosophers seeds well 6 strains first run and then I'll fill the tent with a few more autos. They got a seed kit called philo has 6 strains 2 seeds of each ;) Then i still got 18 random grass-o-matic autos so 3 autos and the 6 photos. Should be interesting ;)
