Bapple's 2015 Outdoor Grow - Autos & Photos

I had an Afghan Kush Special last year that started flowering before the equinox, when the days were still getting longer. Ended up getting harvested way earlier than everything else. Turned out to be super chunky and one of my favorite smokes.

Howdy Sam! Thanks for looking in :thumb:

I would be in heaven if that happens and she keeps going cos that would put harvest at about July. We have about a weeks supply of Buddha Magnum left and after that we have to wait for one of the autos to finish. We have had a continuous supply since last June so twitch twitch......that's why I decided to add photos to the mix this year, bulk out those harvests".....

Hope your weekend has started well :thumb:

Wow, sounds idyllic! Stone Age works for me and tv is over rated. If it works for you and you do start a journal, it would be great to follow what you do. You've obviously got your ego totally reined in, if you don't have a need to show off your skills - good for you! :thumb:

The amusing thing is he finds gardening totally boring and when I talked him into this cannabis project I promised he would not have to lift a hand to do anything.

He reads through my journal and the forum once in a while and likes to look at the photos, but I didn't even know he knew what a pistil was. Yesterday when he said there are definitely pistils showing, I sarcastically said what do you even know a pistil to be and he said the white hair things that tell you it's a girl :jawdropper:

Hello there gazmufc! Thanks :thankyou:so far so good....

I don't train, I don't trim, I turn the pots once a week to try to ensure all the possible bud sites get a fair shot of sun. I love watching the master trainers at work but have never felt the need to train or trim my plants. For indoor growers I can understand that there are many limitations indoors so people have got to do what they've got to do.

Hope your weekend has started well :thumb:

Indoor is almost a must. Like you said outdoor it will happen naturally. Hope you have a great weekend in paradise Bapple. Pissing rain like always here.

Happy Saturday Dutty!

I have been in the garden since about noon potting various things up from the propagators - partly cloudy but 20C. Your neck of the woods sounds like London where we come from.....

Rain is a blessing when it's not excessive.

Still massively impressed by the scale of your setup, hope you have lots of help with the grunt work.

Keep on trucking DP! :surf:

It's sunny but pretty cloudy out

All the girls look good except for a couple of issues..... They were all watered but no nutes today.

The Portela has got some rust coloured spots on two fan leaves so I fed her Magnesium Sulphate. It's not calcium because they are watered with well water, and because we use the water indoors for many things, we have the well water tested every January to make sure there are no biological contaminants in it. So we know the well water is hard with a high lime content.....

And the White fluffy things you can see on some of the leaves are air borne seeds that are all over the garden stuck to everything, it rained mildly on Friday so they got wet.

The bad news of the day is that I picked 5 nanners off the AutoMazar which is now one metre tall and full of swelling bud sites. It's not a huge surprise as starting them off in February, and putting them out while it was still pretty cold in the evening are all no no's - I am not sure they liked the 24 hour lights for the first 18 days either. She also has some insect larvae damage. I picked off and killed two grubs from her. She will be hand examined daily from now until I am satisfied the nanners have given up. If it looks like she is serious about hermieing, she will be moved to the opposite end of the garden which is 200 metres away and 4 levels up from where they are now.

The pouty Auto, which I am now almost sure is the Auto BlackberryKush is now 90 cms tall, her leaves still have the slight variegation they have had from day 8. But she is vigorous and healthy and already has many swelling bud sites.

Larvae damage! and I also squished two baby crickets. Once the heat starts this is insect central. Some of the flying beetles are so big and ugly one would not take them on in a dark alley late at night :rofl::rofl::rofl:

The first lot of Ukrainian Black Plum tomatoes are in their final spots

I am going to try to make a cross with these San Marzano dwarf plums. So for the first time this year only growing the two varieties instead of my normal 6 varieties.

So, I hope everyone is having a chilled Sunday, off to make some Szechuan salt and pepper prawns and get some more wine down my gullet.

Hey Bapple :ciao:
Brilliant new,s Pistols on the Auto Mazar:yahoo::ganjamon:

Yes it means that in spite of the accidental topping she is only about 5 days behind her sister. But her sis is full of already swelling bud sites and she only has pistils......

Happy Sunday Jaga!

She is a tall girl and the largest fan leaves are now bigger than my hands. Shame about the nanners, but I knew the two early Autos were a risk.

Happy Sunday Jaga, hope the weather in Blighty isn't too bad. Haven't heard from my daughter today so have not had a weather update.

Hey Bapple things are commin along nicely looks like you're gonna have to do battle with some bugs pretty soon kill all them little buggers lol

Hey Big Budha!

Things are not too shabby thus far.

It's a good thing I am not scared of bugs and creepy crawlies, I say bring it on!:rofl:

Hope your Sunday is going well, with some good food, wine and smoke.... :peacetwo:

hi babble. i take it those pots in the ground, are bottomless? why else would someone take a pot and put it in the ground? just a border top, i take it? i plant mine too. then, after the soil is tamped down, i lift it out, remove the plants from the pot, and a perfect fit into the hole. just never saw this before. i have two outside in pots. a bit early. wont put em in the ground, till around may 10.

Hello Cannilingus!

The pots are not bottomless - they have been lowered into the holes because they are less visible (stealth) and because it's hellishly hot here between June and September and the soil and therefore the roots of the plants will remain cooler when the crazy heat arrives. Also if for any reason I have to move the plants - pots are movable, plants in the ground are not.

Hope your week has started well :thumb:

Okay, so got back from Londinium this afternoon and had a 4 hour nap. I have been pretending to be 20 over the last 3 days; work meetings during the day and majorly squiffy and baked every single night so now I am so caned I barely know my name.

The Supreme leader bless his cotton socks is quite exhausted as he has been on what he called the 'terrifying nanner watch' for 3 days. He can be a bit cavalier about things that don't interest him so I made sure to tell him that if he missed any nanners and they burst open all our crop would be ruined. So he has been waking at 6.30 every morning and checking the autos for nanners with his magnifying glass

It's too dark out to go and see how they are doing and tomorrow morning we have to go out of town to go deal with some stuff , so probably won't check my girls until tomorrow early evening or Sunday morning when everyone gets fed and I do my weekly photo shoot

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Did the supreme commander find many nanners? Those things aren't actually nearly as deadly as the male flowers, they can be controlled- don't really spread all that much pollen.

Congratulations Jaga!!!!!

Hey Weaselcracker, how's tricks!? :high-five:

He picked two off, after emailing photos to confirm they were indeed nanners. Both from the older AutoMazar, strangely all the nanners have been found fairly low on the plant.....

I did not realise they were not as dangerous as full on male flowers thought they were sort of the same thing. Thanks for the heads up :thumb:

Hope all is well in your world and your garden :rollit:
