hey wood for swingin thru (seems the drama in this journal a few weeks past has turned some members off ,cant blame em') i think its just the one sour diesel2 reveg atm, got a bunch of blue dream clones going tho gonna do a bit of a sog with them, yeah im doing another sponsor test run on these led's they seem to be working good, but they do run a lot hotter than the ones i have used before now that its warmed up im having to run the exhaust as much as i did with hps, got so hot a few days ago there was a little wilting so i upped the fan a bit more, any hotter and i'll have to install the ac, i hope they perform well in flower i will be flipping the big tent soon ,i have to get the clones potted and then flipped as soon as the get a bit bigger.Just a fast drive by to see what ya got growing on. Looks like afew revegs. Also looks like you have been upgrading the tents with some new LED's. Looks like a great start least as far as I went back.
Keepem Green
not now tis over but it will take a while for some to noticeI didn't notice any drama
your very welcome bro i do what i do here to give back i learned so much here at a time of great need i may not have been able to go on were it not for this forum, and still learn much everyday, so if i can help others in any way its the least i can do! led is the future of all lighting from night lites to stadiums its for sure the way forward cant say for sure the 3 brands im testing will be the top brands but certainly have a shot from what i have seen and if led is not yet a replacement for hid i know its sure close (i think the ones i have are at least as good and cheaper to run) thanks for watchingforgot to say Thanx to all of you who share all this new knowledge about led and to help people like me on how to make an effective choice before to switch to the leds.
thanx guyz.
So I have some questions, probably more for Danky then BID.....
First what I like, the COB unit in the middle, what is the wavelength mix/ individual diode wattage/draw and maker?
Same for the individual diodes?
Where are lights assembled USA or overseas? If over seas where? Personally would love to buy USA made, but not at a 100% premium, somewhere around 20-30% more would be around my cutoff if only difference is USA vs foreign made.
The idea of the controller is cool, but honestly seems 'gimmicky' to me, any data on how simulating sunrise /sunset makes plants produce more? How much does the cost of the controller add to the light, you are near the top of the price spectrum in the world of Led, wondering how much of that is due to controller?
Done any side by side compares with other led panels? To me the question is not led vs hid lighting, but whose led panel is the best overall value for me, I am willing to pay a premium if can be shown that there is value for this premium. So far I have not seen any direct evidence why one manufacturer is better then another, just purely anecdotal evidence. So I have bought most of my current panels with price being the biggest factor.
Would you be open to having BID, only if he wants to, or another grower doing a side by side on a large plant with light divider between the two different LEDs? Personally I think this would be a great way to directly compare two panels.
I actually think the light controller is a good idea
what they are trying to do from what I can tell is
try to copy nature as best they can as the best environment to grow in is
a natural one the more you can mimic natural environments the better your grow will possibly be
just a thought
cause the t-8's I use have an afterglow effect to mimic a sunset
I think all it has to do is trying to mimic nature
thank you for chiming in brother toker and i agree with your statement 100% and as you know these lights untested on cannabis as far as we know and we cant comment on them in their entirety cuz we just dont know yet, i am also pretty happy with them but i reserve being to opinionated until i see a final product that is the most important part and it is yet to come, i just wanted to reassure our readers that under no circumstance would i say anything about any product i test, use or review that i dont believe to be true, i cant guarantee i have never been wrong or never will be wrong, but i do endeavor to be as accurate as possible. thanks again tokerI agree man. Mine got pretty stretchy, and they are a little hotter than I expected. I'm not going to lower my light right now because the plants are taller, and it would be to close, but may do so before the next round. I'm not unhappy about how things are going otherwize, and they are definitely running cooler than my HPS. I'm also sceptical about the sunrise, and sunset ideas, but it may fall under the category of quality Vs quantity arguments I've seen about other aspects of growing. Like Brix Vs Hydro. I'm not sure at all at this point. I've got this light now good, or bad so I see no reason to lie about outcomes, but the fact that someone sends out a light to be reviewed speaks volumes in itself. Why risk bad reviews if you don't believe in your own claims about a product.

excellent to hear CD! thank you ,I have always trusted your reviews BID One of reasons i got one I got now
yup american, russian, german , japanese etc. all made in china! lol just like any where quality is up to the company not the location sadly it is cheaper to make stuff ther and like you said even made in the usa does not mean what it used to at least the american cannabis can be top notch even if its a import gear used to grow it!i think just about everyone who grows and knows about leds accept they can veg fine. but that means zero to me, especialy when the price of leds is so high. if it can at the very least match hid in flower then its pointless endeavor. we grow weed for flowers not for veg. Im about to trial some my self and i will be very honest about what i see. As BID points out these arent free trials, it takes time and money to grow cannabis so even if the lights are donated it doesnt mean the grow cost nothing. no one wants to run a grow and end up with nothing.....
one of the reasons i put myself out there to be a tester is im not dependant on my harvests for income just the medical need for wifey, mom a friend and myself so i store the good meds and save what i can for times when pickins are slim,i keep my tolerance low, that way i can do these tests and if i lose a crop its not a disaster well not as much of one! lol yeah a good veg can be done with t8's or cfls i still prefer my t5 2x4 6bulb 6500k for veg and like you could not care less how they veg like i said earlier its all about the flower power baby! BTW CULT! long time bro! good to see you in here been missing some of you guys i usually see more often this test is about to get real im flipping a gdp,grape13,blue mystic, hbdxcream candy, gsc, and some blue dream clones soon so i should have some decent info on these i-grow lights in 6-8weeks .
Mate just about everything u own will be made oversees these days, even things that say made in america etc are made abroad. its very decieving what goes on in business but to be fair too business they cant usually afford to have things build in usa or uk. I want work for my own people but reality is quality is just as good abroad and its cheaper, if u are business minded that makes sense to go that route. i know in the uk that government taxes are so high it prices people out of work here so going abroad is the only option, sad but true.
