Away's First Grow - DIY Closet Grow - TopLED Mars II 80x5 - 2014

I've tried 3" before but got light burns a few times. Even was touching the light a couple of mornings so now I don't trust anything less than 6' away Away.

What is the wattage of your cfl? If its a lower wattage then it can be within a inch for 200-250 watt cfl I keep it within 2.

they even sweat bad touching 25 watt flouro tubes lol
isn't real bad tho
the led is a bit hotter sometimes it cant be helped the damn thing gets out of control
and wants to grow taller than the tent

hey guys thanks for all the inputs on the CFL but the problem has solved itself!
I got my LED back today, alot sooner than expected lol soo..

I just watered her last night so im not sure when to transplant.. dont want it too dry and dont want it too wet right?
When do you guys transplant? (i mean in terms of watering.. not size)

Yea, I let them dry, water the pot it's in, then move it in the new soil (should be also dry-ish) and after I give it a little more water, just so the new soil gets wet as well and mixes together.
I am doing this method because before I used to transplant my plants dry, and happened for the soil to come apart in my hand lol, then I did some research and learned this way.

I typically go straight to final pot, but when I do transplant I first put the old pot into the new at a about the height it needs to be, surround the pot with the soil so I have the shape of the old pot already defined then I do same as daTenshi except I gently moisten the bottom of the hole and dust with myocorrhizae before putting transplant into it. If it's a root bound transplant I score the roots on 4 sides from top to bottom with a razor too.

I will do that thing where you use the current container to make the outlines in the new one ;) seems clever :)
Maybe put some Spores on the bottom of the hole like you said and then transplant ontop, then water slightly.. Not going to use razor's though, thats too dangerous for me lol :)

But hey since i watered last night and she's still pretty soaked, wouldnt it be okay to do the transplant tonight?

8 oz. containers support root growth for 7-10 days from germination
16 oz containers 10-20 days from germination
1 Gallon 15-30 days from germination

For a mature plant you will want 3-5 gallons per square foot of canopy. These size containers will ensure your plants dont become rootbound and the canopy can extend past the container by 1/3 the width of the container before you know it is becoming rootbound. Hope this helps

Hi Bro!

Go for the transplant tonight!!! Exactly when or why doesn't really matter. As long as your soil don't crumble! She's more than ready for that transplant! I would do it!!! ;) She's looking good by the way:) Likes the food i guess:)

I counted 15 potential tops on my Ed R. this morning:) Niiiice:)

See ya later;)

Yo dude, thats what my idea was.. as long as the whole medium doesnt crumble when doing it, it cant go that bad..
Last two or three times i transplanted, i made a mess with crumbly soil lol but the girls all survived it, so..
She does really like the food, there is no burns or anything :)
The only thing im slightly noticing is a possible heat burn? not anything bad at all, but worth keeping an eye on i think...
Sounds awesome about the Ed R. :) She's going to do wonders :)
See you in a bit!
