I think yield info is just important. I mean sure you can grow the most potent and delightful tasting bud but if the plant gives you 14 grams is that not disappointing? I mean, most of these plants you have to invest roughly 3 months of your time and money. I too, would like some form of thread of where people named just the strain, if they topped, supercropped etc etc and yield amount per plant. Information like that will help companies sell better product instead of just any product just to sell it to make money. It will ween out the lesser quality seeds so they would have no choice but to drop the product from their shopping catalog. That's just my two cents.
re; thread about 1 favorite strain.
It is out of question that I support only 1 strain First , because I only know a dozen of them and there are hundreds if not thousands, not to speak about the new stuff released each year.
You need one for different effects for different moments and uses. For me , that will be at least 3
And I also want to try more seed banks and new stuff. Not you ?
For example, one day i'd love to grow a Chocolate Skunk ;-)
and kannabia stuff, or humbolt stuff, or...or....
I am afraid this kind of thread is going to limit people to a few "best of" strains. May be it is good.
And the growers ' skills are crucial too right ? (one can fail a strain that is supposed to yeild cause he doesn't know what he is doing, like it happened to me more than once , lol).
May be we should make a group of growers, go to kickstarter, and start a project to grow ALL that exist and make reports.... lol Count me in ;-)

what if it starts off with a bunch of questions?
*What is your experience level: 1 failed attempt - 1 successful grow.
*Number of plants brought to harvest: 3 plus 1 in flower to be harvested in 3 weeks
*Desired effect from your cannabis: Uplifting, inspirations. Like to be able to smoke then do 15miles of trails on a mountain bike.
*Current favorite strain and why: Jack Herrer. It is gives me an energetic high, but if I smoke enough I will sleep on it too.
*Have you grown this strain: Yes
*Auto or Photo: Auto
*How long did it take from seed to harvest: Plant 1. 77days Plant 2. 84days. plant 3. 112days
*What was your dry weight yield: Plant 1. 3.25oz Plant 2. 2.25oz Plant 3. not harvested yet
*Did you top, LST, ponytail etc: Yes. Plants 1&3 topped, tucked, and LST. Plant 2 not topped but tucked and LST
*What was your growing medium: Fox Farms Ocean Forest.
*What was you choice of nutes: Fox Farms base trio
*Did you use any enhancing nutrients or boosters: No
*Compared to the desired effect, what was the effect of you favorite strain: As desired. Uplifting, yet able to mellow if used right.
*What would you say is the difficulty level for this plant 1-10: Being a sativa, it is temperamental. I would say it was a 6 for difficulty.
This is just an example and the way I would answer the questions. We could ad as many questions covering pertinent info. We could also have a "sister" thread covering many of the same questions but regarding strains we have grown, but don't consider favorites.
Just an idea to maybe get us started
Exactly, like a really nice all around strain review, but for autos. But the 'favorite' factor just plays more of a 'willingness to write a detailed and helpful review' in my opinion.
I find myself hunting through SR's with no luck because only a handful are autos..
I'm with you. I spent an hour this morning searching for a strain review for Super Auto Sativa. Very little to find. But to be honest when I do find reviews, they often don't explain enough.
Ah, that way it is more in line with each one reality, introduces the technics and growers skills. Someone like me will like it better like that yes
Most definitely. The first hard part is finding the review, let alone one that has sufficient information.
Then, when you do find multiple reviews by the same people, they start getting super biased towards one grow, and compare everything to it. You need variety of sources, yah know?
Yeah, if we get some good input and find out what growers want to know, we could add or delete questions to "tune it in" to just the most important info to help a grower decide wether or not to spend the money on the seeds.
Exactly,
I ran 3 Jack autos. Harvest anywhere from day 77 to day 112. That is something someone might want to know before thinking they will all be ready at 77 days.
It'd be really good for people who need to grow Micro, to know the final height, how well they reacted to lst if it was present.
Such a wonderful concept. Can't uprep you enough, bahah.
Also helps fine tune down on Phenotypes present within each strain.
