Auto Topping Thread

Hahaha, lol, yeah, i'm with you on that one.

I've always did pauses, lately it has been more difficult not to smoke, but making a 2 or 3 weeks without weed is also nice. I used to do this once every quarter. You won't beleive how strong is the high after that, it is something that you loose when you are too used to it. It is good to be used to it and be less "excited" when smoking, but this feeling is really nice, like getting back to your first smokes, but much better, because it is your own weed grown with love etc.

Anyway, right now, money is short and I have to find a new job to buy me more leds and seeds and a house in the countryside with a big room with automatic ceiling so i can switch to sunlight in summer :-D

I know someone who can supply me in those times where money is short, but I think I need a pause anyway. I don't want it, but it will do me good and when my crop is ready, i'm gonna go craaaaazy after half a spliff of the worse strain i can grow :D

So Schtiggy, I am not better than you in any respect, I am just adapting to these temporarily more difficult time. And I don't like to be in debt with anyone, that's why I don't go to get my "pay later when you can dude" weed. well, at least, not more than a 3 grams once a week ;-)

Many of my friends smoke, but many don't. Most girls don't smoke here, in my country where it is totally illegal and demonized, so if one needs to get laid, you must keep it cool on the weed - at the begining at least, lol :D

So, that's the reason, I need a pause to find a GF, get laid, and then have her smoke a lot of stuff for the aphrosidiac effects :)

I can understand your approach, but I think you will smoke it at the end :-) you will need that to find out if you grew efficiently and effectively ;-)

The suffering you experienced, that bad trip, is something that is likely to happen again with howegrown, especially skunk outdoor, it was so powerful...) . I don't grow the SS Sweet Skunk just because of this ( too strong / awful bad trip if overdosed... not all strains do this...some of them will actually never bring you there) .
 
SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC: I am looking for people to support a future petition to grow weed on the space station and then, on mars.
Seriously, who would not want to see that ! How are they going to survive space travels without anything to smoke. Impossible.

Check the "petitions and initiatives" sections of the forum. I can't do the petition myself (country laws etc) , but I hope someone will be inspired and will actually do it, because i think it would be fun and great and would show some politicians some realities of the world.

And no, I was not stoned when i thought about it.... (may be i have a serious condition, lol :-D , one that is cured by MJ )

Hello Guys,

Do you defoliate your topped plants if you think the lower branches don't get enough light ? I have read that it it is not good for productivity.

or Would you only bend the leaves to make room for light penetration ?

Hi Space,

I started off only tucking. Once the plant go so bushy that there was no room between, I defol'd. I actually defol'd one of my 4 quite heavily - 4 times. It produced like crazy. I also defol'd the other 3 at least 3 times each. I started from the top down, and I try to take leaves that are shadowing.

I read in a dozen places that defol is a no no with autos, but it worked very well for me.
 
Agreed as I have always done the same, tucking to begin and then defol where needed. There's lots of myths with autos and most have now been shown to be just that! Although, my experience is its strain dependent with autos, the bigger xl will push on without blinking, smaller may be effected a touch more! Either way when needed defol is a good tool to help maximise crops! ;)
 
Spot on la;) is strain dependant as u say to how they take it.but as u say once ur auto is an established bushy beast then u can defol.just always make sure ur auto is in top health before defol then she wont even know its happend;):thumb::goodjob:
 
Please dont advertise weed sales on my thread;) we all grow our own smoke here and are not in it for the money just love of the plant and of the bud;)

This. At least I know the majority of the people here don't want to know if you're not planning on smoking what you grow.
It's a hobby forum, to save money; not create revenue.
