Auto Topping Thread

No, I believe you so you don't have to go through the trouble of finding the pics, I'm just trying to do a controlled experiment with lighting, so I wanted to use the same strain, same nutes (will be since it'll be all connected in RDWC system) same room, etc etc, only thing different will be lighting. I will have a high powered LED (Marshydro pro II 320), LEC (nanolux 630w) and a 1000w HID (apollo) 5 plants under each light in a roughly 4x4 space.

What else is a good yielder?
I'm in for this, lol.

You should also do a topped vs. untopped, for the hell of it

I'll leave one untopped. I have a bit of time to set up and plan but I will lay everything out once finished. About 2 weeks or so before it all starts.

Awesome!
If you don't mind me saying something else.
In regards to trying to get the best comparison between either topped vs untopped or different lights, try your best to group and make note of the same phenotype being grown.
Say, in your 10 pack of Choco skunk autos, you find 3 different phenos, try to focus your attention to doing comparisons within said phenos.
I really hope this makes sense to you!

This was the only thing I was afraid of. I know not all autos are created equal. Meaning, seeds in the same pack, one could grow wild and be 6 ft tall and her sister plant would grow 2 ft tall but 3 ft wide.

So the best comparison will be if I get clones from one mother plant and do it all under the said lights.

Unfortunately, you can't succesfully clone an autoflower plant.
Since the cuttings you take off of the mother plant will remain the same age as their mother, which would mean lots of tiny flowering clones, shortly after they're cut.
The best way would be to try to group the different phenotypes as accurately as possible.
cheers!

Noobie 00 seeds northern lights auto is also a great producer pulled 4 oz off her aswell topped;).or if u want some big badass autos.dutch passion all the way dude;)

Tell me if I'm crazy but in my 4x13 space, I think I can fit 27 plants. I taped out my measurement and it looks like I can fit 9 plants under each light. The tape off section is where each light will be placed above and will cover.

I didn't have a 9th bucket for the pic but there is supposed to be one there in the middle. I plan to get plants that give me 4-5 ounces do you guys think this is enough room for them or shooting for 9 in each quadrant asking for too much? I see it as a perfect use of light. If need be, I will put a scrog net over them to train them.

Noobie id say most dutch passion autos want 70 to 90 days.iv pulled 6 oz a plant off a few dutch passion autos.but they can achive more.they can push 10 oz plus per plant.so im aiming higher lol;)

Good work sonic;).i see they have an offer with the automazar cnt be bad;) im stocked well up on plenty of dutch passion beans to see me a few grows yet;)

Hey my friend, what strains you going for next with DP as I'm dropping a big mix once back from Spannabis. I like the sound of sooo many of their newer auto strains. The Lime Daiquiri I've got under 12/12 is being wasted! She's a lovely bush and looks very unique so far so I'm,expecting great smoke but low yield due to lighting.
As for their size etc its not just this that aids in their success, its the way they generate nodes immediately when still young! They can easily hit 10 oz :) just give em the space and top every single one :)
