Hi mate see everyone full of top info. Good work gardners.noobie i do like to have some space between my plants makes em grow bigger and its best to have space between plants for the air to move around freely best it can.to prevent mold and budrot;) u have a big space to play with mate lucky u lol;) but its not just down to pot size to get a big plant.its also down to how much space u give the plant to grow;) happy growing every1;)

Mind if I pick your brain real quick?

I just received my LED from Mars, and I've got it hooked up, just trying to figure out which switch I should have on, or both; during which phase.
I've read some people using both the whole grow, or if it's better to use them as depicted.

I use full spectrum throughout the whole grow. The sun doesn't turn off its spectrum, right? .

Mine are the older model Mar II series before they got switches. It's easier without a choice. :)
 
I just switched to full spectrum at "Day 2" after seeds popped up :-)
just posted something in my current journal about it. you could be interested.

Friday evening at the tent :-)

- Would you use topping on any type of plant or would you prefer Sativa or Indica dominant types ?

- Would you use it to prevent a plant from growing to tall ? (for ex, a sativa that you know will be taller than the indicas you grow at the same time).

I will choose 1 or 2 to top in my crazy 11 pheno jungle :-)

Seriously though, I've topped both sativa and indica dominant strains now, and will likely continue to top the majority of my autos going forward.
 
Spacef topping an auto will always bring great success but u can not control the height of an auto by topping its strain dependant.if u want a short ass auto.search for 1 with not much stretch.regards to indica vs sativa auto and topping.they all like it mate;) topping my autos I find makes a perfect structure for training alot easier than untopped my own findings.happy growing every1;)
 
Ok here il give u 1 of my auto secrets. Chocolate skunk auto An auto i fell in love with along my auto growing topping journey
.its a cheap seed at 4 pound a go.i have grown it 4 times.everytime i topped her and she was done on day 60 of life on the dot which is stated in her info.so she.is true to her word no lye;) She is very impressive and she stays very short after topping and her buds grow bigger than a fist;) pulled 4 oz a plant each time i grew her topped all the way.and she is a very very heavy hit.well worth a grow folks;) happy growing every1;)

I was just about to ask you what it would take to produce 8 ounces a month too. Which bank did you get the Chocolate skunk from?
 
hmmmmm, I wonder with 15 chocolate skunk auto all topped in DWC under roughly 3k watts would produce me close to 2 pounds.......for 60 days, that's not bad at all.

I found some on herbies.

No, I believe you so you don't have to go through the trouble of finding the pics, I'm just trying to do a controlled experiment with lighting, so I wanted to use the same strain, same nutes (will be since it'll be all connected in RDWC system) same room, etc etc, only thing different will be lighting. I will have a high powered LED (Marshydro pro II 320), LEC (nanolux 630w) and a 1000w HID (apollo) 5 plants under each light in a roughly 4x4 space.

What else is a good yielder?
