Hey all! Wanted to share my first ever harvest of a sweetseeds Black Jack. One of several I am growing but she raced to the finish line first.
Grown in COCO 3g smart pots. 550W of Chinese LED (King Plus 1200w and Viparspectra 600w) GH Nutes trio plus cool bloom, Z7, CaliMagic. Topped at day 16. Scrog screen at day 35. Temps 70-78F and 48-55% humidity for the whole grow.
Day 73 from seed sprout.
Flushed for 6 Days. 2 Days FloraKleen then 4 well water (90PPM 7.2PH) Runoff was at 100PPM after first flush of 6 gallons.
Washed buds with small amount of lemon juice and baking soda then 3% H2o2 in second bucket to deactivate sulfites (allergy situation) then cold water. Drip dried for 1.5 hours.
Wet weight before trim but with fans off 550G.
Since I am trying the dehydrator method I didn't go crazy tight on the trimming. Buds and popcorn weight wet at 470G. Trimmings at 70G
Much more than I thought I would start with, so should be a good dry weight! I'm stoked!
What's still growing in my room.
~Peace
Well, i only did It once, but the method Gave me good Smoke. I hanged stem by stem, dark Room with fresh Air out And in 40% humidity, took 9 days. I don't know If It IS the best way, but worked for me.Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this topic has been covered in this thread yet. I did see a forum on this from abt 10 years ago and I'm wondering if anything has changed. What's the best way to dry? Is it by hanging the entire plant, cutting/hanging by the stem, or drying in brown paper bags. Everywhere I go seems to lean in each direction.
Nice! Thank you for your knowledge, im about 3 tô 4 weeks to harvest, i Will try slowing my drying process! Already subscribed a few thread to learn the "something Else" i need! I heard that the ideal IS to Keep the Air fresh, the room dark, the humidity low, And the Air circulation not too strog to avoid missing terpenes (?) And flavonoids (?), do you agree? I Will read about It later...the key word when drying and curing is "slow" ... the slower you do both the better your herb will taste ... following that logic i believe it is better hanging a full plant upside down with just the waterleaves removed ... the sugarleaves will curl around the bud encasing it with a protective layer that will slow the drying down ... then you dry trim ( also good to reduce the smell wet trim spreads throughout the entire house).
when attempting to slow the drying always keep vigil against budrot... !!!
I would let her go mate, if the leaves aren't getting enough light they will yellow and fall off. They are helping the plant grow, so keep as many leaves going as you possibly can.Can someone with more auto knowledge than me let me know what you would do lollipop this off or leave itIf photo it would be chopped already but since auto I am torn on what to do don't wanna fuck her up

Just checking in, to let you see what condition my condition is in.
First time grower, built myself a closet with airflow using a computer case fan and stretched a cutoff nylon over it to act as a bit of a filter.
Put it down low, bring air into the closet, and installed a vent up over the door to let it out. Have a fan, a heater, and LED grow lights in place. Bought some J.R. Peters nutes and some Crop King feminized autoflower Northern Lights seeds. Currently germinating the first seed, going to start one plant in soil, then try one in coco. Very excited to be starting my journey!
