Auto Growers Unite: A Community Thread

Yes a fan will help keep mold away. If you cannot dehumidify the space, try and fan as much fresh air through the vegetation as she can take

Thank u!!! Do u know about some product tô dehumidify the Grow?

Hi Got2, the impression I got is that you're trying to keep your grow area as basic possible, There area a couple of DIY ways if you don't want to use a dehumidifier or put it in an air conditioned area.

1) feed cool air into your box, cooler air can't carry as much water vapour as warm air. As the cool air warms up it'll decrease the humidity because it's distributing the water vapour into a larger volume.

2) Take some good sized drywall scraps and remove one side of the paper surface, Put the drywall into an oven at 300 degrees F for about an hour. Put one scrap into your grow area and the other(s) into a sealable bag, then remove and replace every 48 - 72 hours. Gypsum (drywall) is a natural desiccant and literally grabs water vapour out of the air, it'll absorb almost 40% of it's weight in water vapour until it reaches equalization with its environment. The reason to bake it, is to boil off the water vapour.

Neither of these methods is as effective as a dehumidifier or air conditioning but it'll help somewhat.

You don't need a big pretty tent to get great at growing bud. To be honest, I love DIY growing, it's so much more satisfying. Keep up the great work !!
Hehe, they started flowering today! Now im sure i have pistils! I Like my Grow, It was reeeeeeealy cheap to buy, i Live in a country where the mínimo salary os 1000 qnd only the tenta Costs about 2000, só making a Grow is Very expensive And in only spent 200 making Mine! It seems to be working good, since i.solved my humidity problems!

Ohohoh! Thank you! I added a fan And a flying prof Net in the front on my Gro w, And got my humidity down to 40~50 but u gave me New methods to reduce.it, um gonna try!!

Too early to tell without knowing the strain Oso, it's very early in flower and you can't tell how dense the buds will grow in for a least a few weeks. Have patience, from the looks of it you won't be unhappy with what you get, just don't kill it in the mean time. Now that it's flowering, the bugs can now smell a free meal.

Whats your watering schedule like WJC? It looks like you might either be overwatering or adding to high a concentration of nutrients.
