Ok I wanna post a question on ph pen calibration. How When. And what do I need my directions say I need deionized water and buffer solution I have the buffer but not the water is ro or distilled just as good or should I just buy the ready buffer from the hydro shop What do u guys do when it come to re calibration

I used to use water from my dehumidifier. It was ~15ppm and my tap water is 160ppm. I'd let it set for a few days to let anything in it settle then pull some from the top. My pen required calibrating at three different pH levels also. A good rule of thumb is to calibrate it once a month, cheap pens more often.

That being said I quit using a pH meter over a year ago. I switched to a pH buffered nutrient line...to say it was a game changer is a vast understatement. :)

I've known about keeping it wet but dident know what to use so I let it dry then cap it so it don't smell weird. And I like to keep it clean but I've bin worried it's not right plant looks well but I wanna not have to worry I actually used ro water to calibrate it and I hade to change it by a few digits Andre all this new info I'm worried I keep it around 5.8-6.2 seams happy

I got a really cheap ph pen so I calibrate it every week or every other week distilled water I got 5 litres for a few pounds from halfords you can use the water that your tumble dryer extractes or you can get liquid ph Calibration solution like I have then you don't need the de io water I'll post a photo of the stuff
