Glad it went well for you Magic. All these breeding projects going on now! All this data being accumulated. We're like a stealth research facility.

High Magic, how has the oil been helping you or do you need Concentrated Oil?
Absolutely, the more buds and the higher quality of said buds the more potent the oil will be. I'm so thrilled to hear you're sleeping better.
I am sleeping better but that is really all I have noticed. I'm certainly not complaining! Getting decent sleep is so nice! The everclear is evaporating off. This batch was mostly trim so I am sure when we are dealing with mostly flowers it'll be different. Most of the harvest from Sammy and the harlesin clones will go to oil.

Thank you, Sue! I will try the oil during the day sometime, I have had to be 'aware' all week so maybe next week. I'm not sure what to expect! Maybe I'll feel tired!
That's great Magic, you'll find the right oil, used the right way, at the right time, that will work for you best. Just have fun in between.

That's nooooooooot exactly correct, Sweetie.....
'IF' we extract properly (everything frozen 24 hours min...KleenXtract [100% organic grain alcohol]......work quickly), 85%+ of the oil will be cannabinoids (Everclear is inferior...try to buy KleenXtract online). That's what we're aiming to extract. Cannabinoids. Not waxes, chlorophyll..... just cannabinoids.
The amount of cannabinoids in the leaf or bud determine the AMOUNT of oil you end up with, not the potency. If you don't end with about 85%, then you need to look at your solvent, temp of starting materials, time taken, etc.
If you use leaf, the end oil should still be 85% pure cannabinoids. You just won't get very much. Top shelf bud produces about 4 grams of oil per 1 oz of bud used. One oz. of leaf might give you .1 gram of 85% oil !!!
Did I explain that? I tried...
Sleeping good makes us feel more well (weller?), right Magic? !!!
I got stoned and missed it, Magic.
Besides, it's over 100 degs out there! Being stoned in 100 deg weather is unsafe, right? I'm at the indoor grow (dormant until I learn CC and mycos) and the smoke from fires around here makes my eyes water. Bummer. Will make oil early tomorrow as the weather will be the same. California is burning up! We'll all have to move to Oregon soon!
Peace....

Yes you did John. Thank you for educating me. I have much to learn.
Honestly, sometimes I don't know how I get through a day. My goal for this afternoon on 420 was to figure out the multi-quote function. Yeah, I know...but I'd never used it before. So, the house is quiet, I put on some music and loaded the bong. I began my search after a nice, healthy bong hit. I looked around a bit for my info but then my high kicked in and I got more and more distracted. Time passed...What did I do with this time? I made a damn mess is what I did. I got out records, cassettes, cd's, and continued to search for my information by way of reading journals that had nothing whatsoever to do with multi-quotes. And the music was good.
A good while later, I tried to snap my attention back to the task at hand. Alas, I had strayed far from my intended path. I took measure of each path and, finding the multi-quote path lacking, I continued to pick my way along my unintended path. I re-loaded the bong. Time passed. And the music was good.
I once again brought my attention back to what I wanted to get done. 'What're the odds?', I ask myself. At that very moment I know exactly what I have to do. I will open up my journal, scroll to the bottom of the page and just ASK. That brings us to almost present time. I pull up my journal and scroll past a post to the quick reply section. 'Let's see...what to say, what to say....', I think to myself. I still have a nice relaxing buzz going so I am careful about choosing my words. 'You want to make sense', and as I tell myself this I glance at the portion of RSOiler's signature that is still showing at the very top of my screen. It's in red, I've read it a dozen times, more even. "If you're not tacking, you're not healing." I'm getting close to starting the rso and I'm excited. I repeat it over and over. For a moment it becomes like a mantra. As it runs through my head I think to myself, 'I like that quote.' When I think the word 'quote' I glance over at the "reply with quote" link just to the right. And what's just to the right of that?? THE MULTI-QUOTE.
I mutter something like, 'You're f'ing kidding me.' I feel pretty dense and find it extremely funny at the same time. So, what do I do? I take a bong hit and write this. And the music is good.
How's that for long winded, Sue? I'm glad you are here!
I see the multi-quote symbol right over there....but what, exactly, do you do with it? I just clicked the one on the above post of Sorenna's and a check appeared next to it.....so, what does that do? Preview Post shows nothing. WTH? Over.
I had to laugh out loud at this darling post. I have also wondered about that multi-quote function so I am ever so glad you not only figured it out, but posted about it. Now Ive learned something I really wanted to know and found a journal I am enjoying. Thank you. I guess Im subbed now too. hehe
The way you described your afternoon and your hunt and/or lack of, lol, you sounded exactly like me. Hours to find a 5 minute answer. Isnt it fun?
