Ask Us Anything: Sharing Knowledge 420 Style

I have a question that I'm getting a lot of mixed response on so some consensus would be nice.
I just recently planted 2 blueberry autos in 3 gallon bucks of ffof soil. I watered the soil really good a day prior to planting. Then stuck them under my led in my tent to warm up.
I dropped the seeds in the soil without using the paper towel method or leaving them in water first. I am germinating straight from soil because I was told autoflowers are VERY sensitive to stress and the less stress the better. However now I'm wondering if the paper towel method would have been more viable because idk if the seeds are duds or not.
I'm keeping plastic wrap over the tops of the pots to lock in moisture and humidity. It's been 2 days and still no sign of life.
So my question: should I dig up the seeds to inspect them and put them in water or paper towel now or wait "x" amount of days before doing so? And should I just use the paper towel method from here on out?
Thanks in advance! :)

If i soak mine then drop in rockwell "no paper towel" they pop out the surface in 3-6 days. If i dont soak them they take 7-10 days.

the paper towel method is the best way to germinate seeds by far whether they are autos or photoperiod plants.

however it could take days or a week or more for seeds to break surface the way you have done it. id give it a week before you even think about digging anything up.

i get why this thread was started but theres so many questions being asked here its hard to keep up. id suggest people use the frequently asked questions thread and start a post for their questions answered. I like to help but i cant keep up with what is going on here.

Also have a look through the forum. every question asked so far has been asked many many times and if you guys scroll through the frequently asked questions im sure you will find answers to your questions if they are missed here.

id suggest following established grow journals in the area you are interested in, be it coco, hydro, soil, training techniques or what ever. I am a coco and hydro specialist so i can answer most questions on that subject and i have detailed journals and coco threads. i will always answer questions. you can tell pretty quickly in any journal if the author knows their craft well or if they are just starting out. following a variety will help you understand the deeper intricacies of growing as well as the basic errors most newer growers make.

I think this thread was a good idea Snid, however its getting clogged up with so much different questions and no one specific person giving good answers that its difficult to follow what is going on. The more pages that follow means the less people will look through the pages to find their answers and maybe repeat the same questions. Thats just my observation mate.

I agree. I notice alotta members hitting these feeds and other members are growing their ladies for them via 420mag.. simple questions that can be answered with a quick google query.. I share what little knowledge I do have but I agree its hard to keep up.

I don't want to say you shouldn't but you would have been better if you planted them after seeing some taproots I hope you didn't buried them to deep in soil be patient far another 2 days if nothing happens dig in gently in the mean time keep it moist and warm enough 25 Celsius would be good

I love my green girls

I think mine is dying. It's growing these weird white leaves. And it's starting to smell skunky. Here's a pic...
