I will definitely switch to just RO water for a week and see how that goes. I will also go pick up some z7 to hopefully help with the warm temps and any nasties that try and grow.Ok try to use the store bought only for a week. Two types of water sources can work against you once you add nutes. Your ppm is going to rise either way once you add nutes. I'm going to assume you are using Reverse Osmosis water? (RO). Damn General Hydroponics lol. Your ph should be just about perfect using only RO water. Add your nutes and you should be golden
5 gallon bucket with lid, water, fish tank heater. Poke a hole in the lid for the cord and pressure to escape. Provide a dome and I think you'll have a little cloner.
Ok how far away is the light? What is your ph in and out? How often do you water? And last but not least nutes? If you are giving nutes could you please tell me doseage? Thanks ill try and figure this out for you TTI will definitely switch to just RO water for a week and see how that goes. These are a top and side view of each plant. To me they look a little sad. Leaves are droopy and seeing yellowing and spots on the other one. After looking around I'm a little worried, but I can't tell what it's stemming from...is this heat stress? Cal/mag deficiencies? Something else? Feel like a worried mother.
Perhaps my fellow growers can assist me. Will post pics later as I wanted to ask before I forgot. Why would 2 plants that are the same strain all the care they have received is identical and yet one is the same. I bought feminized donkey dick seeds and one is moving right along and the other is taking its sweet time. The plant is healthy and no evidence of any other issues.
After transplant I had the light about 12in away..found that it was a little close for my young plants so currently they are at 23in away from top of canopy(600w MH set at 75%). As for watering..I have kept an eye on it and added Ph'd (5.7) water any time I see about a 2in drop in tote. It's about 15 gal in my tote. The ph has stayed around 6.0 to 6.7. I watch my Ppms go up and down as my plants switch from water and nutes. I have been using 1/4tsp/per gal of my GH trio. So all together 3 1/2 tsp of micro, grow, bloom. With 2ml/gal of hydroguard. Currently sitting at 287ppm. The tap water is 153ppm. Is this to much for my girls? Here is a picture of the roots wich seem to be growin.Ok how far away is the light? What is your ph in and out? Ok bring the light up to 28 inches and ph your water to 5.8-6.2 you are going borderline lockout. 6.8 and you are in a bad area. Hydro is good at 5.5-6.5 or so. Your ph is starting to get a little high. Your nutes are at the proper range and everything so you are good there. Thanks for the info. I will be giving all of ur advice a shot..will be picking up some z7 tommorow and still considering picking up an ice chest to use as rez..i have heard that a good one with a ice bottle can stay cool all day. I will give it a few days and let u know the progressOk bring the light up to 28 inches and ph your water to 5.8-6.2 you are going borderline lockout. 6.8 and you are in a bad area. Water temps have been an issue for me..it usually floats around 73-76 but I have seen at certain points dip up to 80. I've been using frozen water bottles but changing them every 2hrs is not fun. I have heard people being successful with higher rez temps when they have z7, hydroguard or running sterile..i am looking for a different rez. This hefty tote has light leaks everywhere (lid and sides). Think it would be better to just go get 2 5gal black buckets or to attempt it with an ice chest? And I forgot to ask whatss your water temps? Hid lights will bring your water temps up some but shouldn't make it too hot but just to be certain 75 is pretty good I run mine at about 65-70
Z7 is awesome stuff. You can try finding a water chiller on Amazon or eBay. Some of them are expensive and others are cheaper.
