Not a dumb question. And welcome to 420 forums
I know that there are people that do reuse soil successfully, but here is my take on it. By the time you harvest, the root takes up a lot of space in the pot. And what soil is there still contains all the remnants of whatever we threw in there. For the price of good soil, I would rather start fresh each grow and not have to worry about what might or might not be in the old soil. Just cheap insurance for me.

I would be afraid it could have critters in it. I am even concerned about my FF that has been sitting in my garage. And wonder if there is a way to sterilize it bf my next grow.

Yessss...I exhausted myself over thinking because my research took me on a journey of mixed opinions which I had to stick with one person but still I wore out my over-thinker and it didn't do me or my girls much good. We are learning! ☮

sorry for making again the same question but im really nervous about my seeds. as i wrote earlier its been 27 hours since i placed them in paper towel in a dark box in my grow tent (25 degrees celcium) i opened the box to see after 24hours and none of the seeds had sprout, and two of the seeeds fell of the paper so i placed them in a new bigger papel towel im gona check again after 24 hours. should i be worried that my seeds are not sprouted yet? or should i just wait? do you think i harmed them now that i moved them in a bigger towel?

I'm no expert but I've germinated twice. 3 seeds each time. The 1st time I put them in a wet paper towel and stuck them in a drawer. They didn't sprout for about 5 days. The 2nd time mine sprouted in like 24 or so hours.

yes but there were 6 seeds and the paper wasnt that big so one on the one side was already out of the paper but the other must have fell off when i picked it up to check it, now in the new paaper towel after folding em, i pressed the towel on the top so they will stick in there. i guess i didnt do that right in the beginning. u reckon im gonna face a trouble now? i believe that since the seeds were still unsprout at the time i transfered them, they will be ok now right? i have no clue at all.

I wet mine pretty good and fold it down small with the seeds inside pretty snug and I don't open mine but hold it up to the light and I can see the see the shape of the seed and also if it has sprouted

Ok another ? Looking to breed auto seeds but want feminized, so ? Is, if I take 2 female autos an spray one with colloidal silver will I get all fem auto seeds ? Since breeding normal seeds is the same I would like to think making fems be the same as well

Other times ill run it if the temp gets up to 82 or periodically to get some sir circulating . i usually leave the bottom view vent open and the tent partially unzipped up top while fans are not running .

It could be a swollen calyx from this photos perspective.... if you zoom it looks like it might have hairs....

I like to keep my exhaust running 24/7 for air exchange. It's probably less necessary for seedlings, but I would still run exhaust at low speed. Exhaust isn't just for temp and odor control, I truly believe air exchange is too often overlooked.

I don't see ANY female parts actually... that's just a good old fashioned male if you ask me. What makes you think it's a herm??? Does it have pistils Anywhere at all... just saying it looks all male from here...

Definitely get it out ... those sacks are pretty large now and could pop literally any moment and then you have a mess. Get it in a bag and out the door asap. You may even wanna double check none opened... and if god forbid any did... you can spray your females down with just some plain water... to contain the pollen.

I know it's a bummer. Lost 3 males three weeks ago.

The female pollen produced by using the CS will produce all female seeds. If both plants are autos it will produce all fem auto seeds. I did this with two plants last year and made over 6K fem auto seeds.

Uhhhhh... yes please! I am actually very lucky. Both my parents have had glasses since high school and last time mine were tested was about 3 years ago and they were 15/20. They were 12/20 in high school... no joke.

And yes I'll come to Canada anytime... you get the airfare and I'll sex you.....

hi guys, so i placed the germinated autoflower seeds two days ago in their final medium the two have sprouted nice (pictures above) but im a bit concerned about the other two -different strain- (images below) which are kinda yellow and smaller than the other two, i should just wait because they are different strain and they may grow differently or you think i did something wrong? i read that i should place the seeds no deeper than 1cm in soil but i may placed them a bit deeper (2-3 cm). was this wrong?
