Ase's Multi-Strain Quadlining In Coco

I know I updated yesterday BUT.... as @Pennywise always says... If you don't want to read you don't have to!

I made a couple of small changes. The main change I did this morning was to take the racking out of my 2nd tent. No drip table anymore either. I did this due to there only being 2 plants in there and it's easy to suck up water from only 2 plants in saucers. As soon as I did it I noticed tent 3 was really crowded so I decided to throw the Panama in with the other 2. I won't be giving her a bigger pot and I just got done topping 3 of the 4 branches. The 4th branch had already been topped a week or so ago because it was growing faster than the other 3. I should end up with 8 main colas. It will take a while to transition to flower. Funny though, if I had decided to put the 3rd girl in there I probably wouldn't have removed the tray and racking! Just created myself a touch of extra work, nothing too bad.

2x4' tent with now only 3 girls and a bonsai. The spacing and light coverage will now be ok with only 3 plants in there. I figure since they will have to veg another 6 weeks, these 3 should be enough for one tent when it's available.
2nd tent with the two ATF clones as well as the Panama. With just transplanting the ATFs and just topping the Panama, this should be interesting. I don't blame some of you if you are going WTF is wrong with Ase? He is all over the place. Lol, you're right! I think it'll be alright though.

ATF bud shots

Will defoliate a bit today but the leaves are so thin light is still getting to the bottoms so I don't need to remove any. I do want to get rid of any leaves that are running into bud though and also maybe pull off a couple larfy looking nugs at the very bottom that might not be getting the best light.

The stretching wenches of ATF look fantastic
Mine had that similar structure, my DTF does as well even though she was a slow starter hidden behind her BIG brother...lol

Looking great

What’s going on in here!!?? :D

Everything looks stellar!

I love all the deviation from your regular system, nice to see you mixing it up! Is it making it more fun?

I'm very structured and planned. My girlfriend is the one who flies by the seat of her pants. Yin and yang.

With that being said, it's fun but also driving me nuts. Almost to the point of causing a tad of anxiety and taking away some of the fun. Using the 3rd tent is working as a solution to get me back to normal but I really don't want to run 3 tents. It's way too much mixing nutes and caring for all 3 differently. We will see how these clone ATFs turn out but I really do like my quadlining. I wanted to do it on the multistrain but due to space and not getting to them until they were too big, probably not going to happen.

I'm very much looking forward to consistency again and quadlining. Also looking forward to having some time off as my last full time week with my company was last week. Dropped down to part-time to keep benefits and don't start my new gig until end of September. New gig is stable but gives me flexibility and hopefully that's where I can find time to visit some local grow ops and finally getting around to looking at the jobs within the industry. A little birdie informed me that some of the major cannabis companies out here have a hard time managing inventory because there isn't enough "business minded" people that run it. What I did in my old job was inventory management of stores that did a couple million in sales a month. Sounds like something like that could really be right up my alley and maybe growing isn't at the moment. Either way to be in the industry would be really fun and I look forward to trying to get my foot in the door now. Hopefully during this time I can get to building that auto watering system.

top of the afternoon mr.A some quality ATF baseball bats you are manufacturing....haha
Have a great day and lovely looking ladies among all the ATF....
Can't hit a home run without a baseball bat! Always gotta be swinging for the fences.

I'm glad to hear. It's a little different of a structure I've ever seen before but I'm getting used to it. As they plump up they really start coming together. I have all white hairs still too so these are going to go a while longer. Just really starting to see calyx's swell and I think I'm 7 full weeks from flip. Normally that'd be 3 weeks left for me but no way this time. A bit of stalling due to heat as well as a longer than normal transition period from veg to popping it's first hairs which I think was from the roots not really being 100% full in these larger pots. I think the roots were still trying to fill in and the plant was splitting energy, which is fine as I am on no time restriction with these.

Lol first day of time off that I'd normally be working and my car just dies while driving. I knew nothing about car engines but the basics but I believe I can fix anything by doing enough research and usually it saves a lot of money. So I fixed quite a few things and then just plain started running out of time and took it in. Luckily the work I did was really good and the mechanic even applauded me for some really tricky parts and things that a lot of professionals would struggle with. Needless to say I told the guy what I had narrowed what the problem was and sure enough that was it! Wish I had another day to keep trying but the reassurance from the guy that I didn't screw anything up was awesome. Our air quality has been so bad (thanks to @newty 's home country) that being outside is the equivalent of smoking 7 cigarettes an hour. I spent about 15 hours doing hard car work in 95+ degree weather so I wonder if I was smoking a pack an hour? Lol... I've only had a couple cigs in my life and couldn't imagine smoking a pack an hour! Needless to say yesterday I did not feel good at all.

I tell this story for two reasons. One is that fact that I haven't been able to utilize any time off yet as I spent it doing this and recovering. Two is that this is the same way that I learned to grow. The information is out there and you just have to put in the time to do some research and try it out yourself! Anyways time to do some research on a self watering system and I am hoping that I can start that project in a few days.

Amen Ase. Things happen like that. My wife told me about the smok the other day and it's hard to understand how this horrific assault becomes reality. How long has it been going on and is there any end in sight?

CONGRATS!! I’m hot on your trail with that auto watering system! Making the move downstairs where I’ll gave nothing but space!

Shhhh don’t tell my bf;)

Oh yaaaaaa the smoke is so bad! I’m so sick with headaches, worse nausea and sinus infection. I did another rain dance the last 2 days and wala

It seems like it's almost been this entire month. July 27th the Carr fire started in Redding, CA and we got smoke from that. Southern Oregon had a couple fires and we got smoke from that. Mendocino complex fire in California was after that. I think there were a couple fires in Eastern Washington that hit us next and now this British Columbia fire is nailing us hard. All during the hottest time of the year. Pacific Northwest is usually so much fun in the summer but last year there was a giant fire right near me and we had the same thing. Like a full month of very unhealthy on the air quality scale. I think they said Seattle and Portland were ranked 3rd and 4th for worst quality air in the world the last couple weeks. That's crazy.

Luckily there is some sort of weird front moving in and our air is back to normal as of yesterday evening. If the winds change that can blow back quickly so I'll enjoy it while it lasts as I bet it comes back. Hopefully they can get the fires under control with the cooler weather. Much of Oregon and lots of Washington were downgraded on the air quality scale but still have problems moderate to unhealthy problems. At least they are out of the hazardous and very unhealthy range now. Don't know why the Portland area is way better than the rest of the state but I'll take it. The weather has cooled off significantly and it supposed to for like 10 days. Feels like Fall is here now and usually the last week in August is ridiculously hot. That will really help the girls I just flipped not suffer from heat problems in my grow which is great. It'll also help my fall garden outside.

We've got a couple days of spotty rain in the forecast so I need to get out and do my own rain dance. Good timing as a lot of things in my outside garden are just getting big enough to handle it. I don't ever get headaches and I have had 4 in the last week where I just had to lay down for hours. I'm so over this junk.

You and me both brother!

Sending rain and good air! This is the first day I’ve opened my window in a couple days. The fires are south west of me which is where I was wanting to travel for cannabis cup. Hopefully the rain puts those fires out soon.

It's great you guys are getting rain. That'll really help. Also you weren't kidding when you said your neighbor grows some awesome sunflowers every year. You can see that clearly in your photo.

Absolutly crazy all right. Sounds like the China Olympics only worse. We see the whole left side of the country on fire at any time all summer. Seems like it's the norm for the past few years if my memory is right. So get out there and breath while the breathing's good friend.

Day 54 Flower ATFs - Day 46 Multi-Strain - Day 3 Flower ATF Clones & Panama

The Multi-Strain girls need to get into bigger homes, at least the Honeysuckle and the Aurora Indica. The Durban Poison still could stay in this pot for a week or 10 days longer. Just trying to keep these plugging along but not start growing out of control.
The Bonsai did grow out of control and due to the heat of the last few weeks had gotten a little lanky on me. I wasn't keeping up with the trimming but finally decided on a design. Cut her way back but if I keep up on the trimming now I think it'll turn out great.

The ATF clones and Panama are starting to all show lots of light green from quick growth. Keeping an eye on the ATFs and bending/supercropping along the way to keep them even and from getting too stretchy.

The flower tent girls keep putting on the trichs and the colas all just sway back and forth in the breeze. This tent is going to like the cooler weather the most. The front left one just keep growing though. I don't know why it won't stop but it is the lankiest and it's pretty funny to watch. The other 3 all look about the same. All 3 tents are about to get a defoliation after lunch. May post some follow up pics if the damage is noticeable.

I was about to ask for an update haha. Wonderful! The flower tent doesn't look very crowded in terms of fan leaves. I m curious to see closer pictures after defo if you don't mind. I plan to do some more defo when my girls will come over the heat stress
