Congrats on the nomination my friend. Best of luck, and don't let very early results get you too excited or depressed, it can change overnight.

April 15 (Friday!!!) Update.

Autos: Revolver 2 is 43 days old, Dark devil 2 is 32, Lemon Skunk is 28, and Candy Cane 3 is 3. Temp peaked at 85 today with RH at 58% during lights on. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 22-24 inches from their lights. Overnight temps were 70 and 60%.

Photos: Crown Royale is 107 days old (57 days since her flip to 12/12) and Purple Kush is 10. CR is 11-15 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 83 and RH is 55% at the canopy, 81 and 55% at the top, 70 overnight. PK continues vegging in the auto tent.

  • PK was soaked after transplant with 3 liters of bubbled tap water at 174ppm and 5.7 PH
  • D2 was soaked with three quarter strength bloom nutes (6 liters with 22.5 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 4 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.3 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier at 849ppm and 5.7 PH

Our second Revolver and Dark devil are pretty much done being trained, but the Lemon Skunk is right in the middle of it. So much fun. :)

Our Purple Kush was stuck in a hole in her solo cup, so regardless of root development we decided to transplant her into her 2 gallon plastic interim pot. We'll give her a couple days to recover, but once she puts out her fourth node it's coming off. When she's topped she'll also lose all other growth points below that. We're going to do a much more planned grow this time, no randomness allowed for the first five weeks or so.

Our third Candy Cane is doing great. Always happy to see that first set of leaves come in, particularly after our failures with the White Widow back in January.

C3 (6.8 lbs down from 7.4 yesterday, 8.6 lbs after watering tonight) She got 300 ml in a circle outside the previous watered area around the sprout, 300 ml around the outside perimeter of the soil, and the last 150 ml in the tray immediately soaked up by the bottom. She now has moisture all around her, but only really access to 300 ml:

PK (3.2 lbs dead empty after transplant, 8.8 after watering tonight):

After transplanting:

LS (16.8 lbs, down from 20.6 after watering yesterday):

D2 (7.2 lbs down from 11.0 yesterday, 20 lbs after watering tonight):

R2 (18.4 lbs, down from 22.6 after watering yesterday):

Here's a shot of her undercarriage, looks practically upside down, and pushing into the soil isn't good. She's got a pad of soft wire under her to keep her from directly touching the soil, but next time I gotta watch for this more carefully:

CR (20.8 lbs, down from 23.6 yesterday):

Back in the tent:

Why are you concerned about the branches of R2 hitting the ground? They'll just set roots there. I'd think that'd be a good thing. I've actually encouraged that in the past.

I was nominated three months after I joined 420 magazine in 2012 and then LIFE got in the way and when I returned, quite a few were no longer here including BigIrishDoode (BID) so I know how it works. Thanks Artee!

In veg with a photo I could see myself maybe encouraging it. But with an auto in full bloom, I don't want her wasting a second doing anything other than building buds.

Or at least that's the theory I'm going on. :)

She's got about 4 weeks left by the breeders schedule, and like the first three autos to harvest in this grow I think it's going to be pretty close to accurate. We got a little over 3 ounces off the last one, I think we'll do better this time but she is smaller than I expected. I really thought our first one was somehow stunted. Maybe not.

As always, your visits are a highlight! Thanks Sue. :hugs:

R2 is a wow plant rtk. Hats off to you guys. Truly amazing symmetry.

She's been a fun one, and her sister was a crowd favorite smoke.

She desperately needs some defoliation tomorrow though.

Ah, gotchya. Sorry I didn't know your backstory when I typed up that post. BID was before my time unfortunately.

very nice looking plants..........

:high-five:

I understand. I wasn't thinking about her timeline. :laughtwo:

I chopped a small bud of my Dark Devil tonight so it'll be dry door the smokeathon on 4/20. Make the day really special. I knew you'd appreciate this.

What beautiful buds, eh? Almost too pretty to smoke. Lol!

Ok, starting to fall asleep. Good night arteekay.

The prettier they are, the more satisfaction I get before putting a flame near her. Mental state most definitely affects the high, from my extensive testing. :)

Very glad to hear you found something to spark up on 4/20, I really should have taken the day off.

April 16 (Saturday) Update.

Autos: Revolver 2 is 44 days old, Dark devil 2 is 33, Lemon Skunk is 29, and Candy Cane 3 is 4. Temp peaked at 84 today with RH at 57% during lights on. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 22-24 inches from their lights. Overnight temps were 70 and 60%.

Photos: Crown Royale is 108 days old (58 days since her flip to 12/12) and Purple Kush is 11. CR is 11-15 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 82 and RH is 53% at the canopy, 81 and 56% at the top, 69 overnight. PK continues vegging in the auto tent.

  • CR was soaked with three quarter strength bloom nutes (7 liters with 26 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 7 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.1 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier) at an untested ppm and 5.7 PH

Our second Dark Devil had popped her ties on one side overnight, she's a fighter! Additional restraints added to prevent a recurrence.

Our second Revolver got a fairly heavy (by our standards) defoliation. She doesn't have enough airflow around her leaves and the transpiration sweat has discolored quite a few leaves.

I think we saw this in our previous plants as well, and misdiagnosed it as a deficiency. We'll been cutting down on the calcium/magnesium supplements to prevent an excess of them from potentially locking out other required nutrients.

Oh yeah, and the Purple Kush seems to have taken this transplant very well. She's still a bit sleepy in today's pictures, but she is far more awake throughout the rest of her day. Our light schedule means I'm taking their pictures at their dawn. If all stays as expected, she'll likely get topped tomorrow.

Back in the tent:

Another week and another jaw dropping read to catch up. That crown Royal is one beautiful bush. Bizzle you f&#%ing rocked that sh@t!! The autos all look healthy too, I'm trying to keep up with your girls, but damn! You two have displayed some excellent training and plant development, I'm so impressed every time I come by to see how they're doing. Keep up the good work guys and as always... RTK you're the man!

KiG :green_heart:Cheers

As usual, looking good guys. I hope my bud is half as good as yours this first go round.

Our first grow is linked below in my signature. This one has been better, but to see where we came from 6 months ago might be informative. :)

Thanks Snid, always a pleasure to have ya stop by. The girls perk up when they see ya. :)

We're planning for the Crown Royale to finish in 18 days, currently. 21 at the outside. Should be a fun harvest. :high-five:

Oooo...... Looking forward to that harvest. What a beast of a plant. :circle-of-love:

April 17 (Sunday) Update.

Autos: Revolver 2 is 45 days old, Dark devil 2 is 34, Lemon Skunk is 30, and Candy Cane 3 is 5. Temp peaked at 85 today with RH at 52% during lights on. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 22-24 inches from their lights. Overnight temps were 70 and 63%.

Photos: Crown Royale is 109 days old (59 days since her flip to 12/12) and Purple Kush is 12. CR is 11-15 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 81 and RH is 53% at the canopy, 80 and 57% at the top, 66 overnight. PK continues vegging in the auto tent.

  • LS was soaked with her first bloom nutes, so we gave it to her at half strength (6 liters with 15 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B and 4 ml of GO CaMg+) at 654ppm and 5.7 PH
  • R2 was soaked with 75% strength bloom nutes (6 liters with 23 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 5 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.2 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier) at 876ppm and 5.7 pH

Our Lemon Skunk auto got a ton of defoliation today, she's setting into bloom and I wanted her as open as possible, unlike our second Revolver, who is too bushy for her own good. Next one I'll clean out better earlier.

We could have topped the Purple Kush photo today, but decided to wait another day. She's still recovering a bit from her transplant, and I plan to top and remove all other growth nodes in one shot. We're hoping to take some of the randomness out of it, we'll see how that works out.

Back in the tent:

I'm thinking we're pretty much going to pop an auto every two weeks, with some minor adjustments for longer flowering strains where appropriate. So in nine days Candy Cane 3 will gain a younger sister. Now to decide between Red Poison and Amnesia Haze.

Opinions, as always, as more than welcome.

April 18 (Monday) Update.

Autos: Revolver 2 is 46 days old, Dark devil 2 is 35, Lemon Skunk is 31, and Candy Cane 3 is 6. Temp peaked at 86 today with RH at 45% during lights on. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 22-24 inches from their lights. Overnight temps were 69 and 67%.

Photos: Crown Royale is 110 days old (60 days since her flip to 12/12) and Purple Kush is 13. CR is 11-15 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 80 and RH is 51% at the canopy, 80 and 54% at the top, 67% overnight. PK is recuperating in the auto tent.

  • D2 was soaked with 75% strength bloom nutes (6 liters with 23 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 5 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.3 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier) at 867ppm and 5.7 PH
  • C3 got 1 liter of bubbled tap water. 400 ml of it down her stem, 300 more around the outside two inches of soil, and another 300 ml in the tray.

If we go from when we flipped the Crown Royale, she should finish in 3 days. We decided early that we'd go two weeks longer, regardless of when exactly she "officially" went into flowering. Pistils are all mostly dried up, but I'm positive she's got two more weeks in her, easily. Jaybiz is feeling some chop-lust though, hasn't admitted it but you can feel it in the air, so I can't imagine she'll make it past the weekend following the 5th of next month.

Today was the day our Purple Kush photo lost her top, and the other four growth points were also removed. I expected her to dislike it, I didn't expect her to actually cry about it. Women.

Back in the tent:

It was when I was putting them all back in the tent that I noticed our little Purple Kush silently sobbing:

Now I get the drops from where her branches were popped off, and the drip on the cotyledon below that, but the tiny drops at the points of the leaves, that's new to me...

Poor baby. :battingeyelashes:
