Arctic Bowl's 1st Ever Attempt At A Grow Journal

Evening everyone :-)
Little chilly out today -18F -28C but still not to nasty, cold but not like it can get so we will take it. Took a few pics today and got the cat drench done with some recharge mixed into the top of the pots today, didn’t feel like messing with it yesterday :rofl:
We just went past 3 weeks yesterday and the only plantbhaving any stand on your own issues is the bigger GWS. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try giving it some pipe cleaner action :-)

Took some random room pics with a zoom in on the Malawi we didn’t top.......lol yea I think she’s gonna be the tallest one of the bunch. I’ll try and get a pic of the Malawi we did top but she kinda just blends in with the other girls but, she’s a big fat bush of a plant :rofl:

Going to have to fire up the quad here pretty soon it’s looking like so gotta get our sparky lined up to hopefully put a sub panel in an run 6-8 20 amp circuits 3-4 in each room would be great but have to see what the pros say about that.........lol I’m not a sparky pro.....can do basic stuff but I ain’t memorizing any more code books :rofl:

I love this picture because when I look at it they look like little 1 gallon pots of plants from home depot and then I remember they're in an entire room! Perspective is completely skewed!

Hey Penny common up brother....still about half a room left to fill up :rofl: things will be better later this spring once I get the mini split installed, gets pretty hot in the GR during the summer so this will end that issue. Getting a lil flack from Ms J she wants the mini split at the house.......lol, soooooo.......May have to put a portable in the rooms but would rather use the mini split for the GR. Guess time will tell which way things go :rofl: but I’m guessing I’ll be putting the mini split at the house and portables in the GR spaces.

So I have a funny story...


The other day I'm gawking at the plants and arctic says it's only like 2 or 3 tubs.... I'm like no dude more like 7 to 10. The topped Lilly or Malawi would just about take up the tub on their own .

Gerbil wangs won't cover the height of some of those plants. You're gonna have to measure in MadDab shoes.

The frost Gods are visiting the flower room pretty good now after that car/tea drench. Docs got this figured out that’s for sure. We’ve had frost show in as little as 15 hrs after the cat/tea drench, Buds that had little to no frost will be pretty well covered in it within a day or two from what we have seen, the guy is just plain ol smart when it comes to using his HB kit. Almost looks like we know what we’re doing :rofl: but it’s really Docs gear and the HB crew keeping us on mostly the right track.

Had to tie up the bigger GWS tonight, grabbed a orange marker stake from the home box store and used.........you ready Duggs.........pipe cleaners :rofl: stole that nifty tid bit of info from Duggs when we 1st started this growing thing and we ain’t giving it back Duggs :rofl:

Let’s hope so Penny, now if the Malawi 500 gals do the same it will be even more fun. Gonna put these gals on some lil rollers here pretty soon, one of our friends that helps with the QC of the Buds we grow in Docs gear is gonna make them up for us :-) pretty good deal. Nice having a couple seasoned vets do the testing for us, we don’t smoke much so it wouldn’t be very fair for us to say if it’s any good or not........lol it’s all good to us :rofl:

So funny in was just heading over here to ask you if you had thought about using rollers! Good call! They're really starting to look sticky now Dude. Should be a real nice show shot sure. Love th pic whw re your lounging in the computer chair, aka the throne. Well one throne... the smaller one next to miss Js bigger boss throne ..

THE wife has a 4 day weekend so may be we can plan a visit or a meal or something now that everyone is back to full health.

OK... I'm blown away. So much variety! Wish I could visit in person just to smell the magic.

I've got a brother-in-law that lives in Fairbanks that was on the Ice Road Trucker show. Made the haul to Prudhoe with him and another guy from the show. Fished Valdez and the Kenai so I've seen all of Alaska that I care to see. But with all of you guys up there I might have to come for a visit.

Dang dude your lucking out with M getting time off!! Heck yea let’s plan a dinner out somewhere as long as it’s not -50 :rofl: if it gets cold I stay home lol, and I really don’t want to be outside until the temperature reaches my age :rofl: above zero!!!

How’s that knee doing for ya? Hope it’s feeling at least a bit better for you, I know all about those knee issues and they just suck!! Let us know what you guys feel like eating and where you wanna go and we can get a plan going. Radio said -50 starting next week but, those MFers don’t impress me much, they would do way better if they looked out a damn window before they gave there forecasts:rofl:

That’s pretty cool you got to do the haul road!!! Those truckers are freaking nuts driving that in the winter.......some MONSTER hills they go up and down and that’s not my idea of a fun time lol. I miss fishing the Kenia :-( had a very good friend that was a guide there an I would fish with him almost every weekend, we sure had some great times, he passed 4 years ago though, great guy!!! Valdez is a blast as well, fished there pretty often but just to long of a drive for a weekend run. Lol both are to long a drive for a weekend trip, use to do it but not anymore......lol to old to be up all night driving after fishing 24/7.

Heck yea common up, I’m pretty sure we could get into some trouble :rofl:

Everyone is going to mail dabs a half ounce stealth like. And then we will all converge to dabs at agreed upon time lol or arctics. I've always wanted to sleep in a grow room. Old lady wanted to go tanning on our honeymoon. Kill 2 birds 1 stone that way. Air mattress and quantum heat it is lol

And the GWS that needed some additional support to keep her up right........Buds are a lil heavy but not that heavy so maybe this strain needs a lil work to get the branches stronger......or just use stakes :rofl:
