Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Upcanning of larger plants:

Vertically score the roots, dust all roots with ROOTS!, place some in the bottom of the hole, gently position rootball and soak the medium with water and 1/4 strength Transplant.

Ok brixxers, I may be overthinking this but I am up canning into #10's and this suggests 1/4 strength transplant, the bottle says mix 1/4 oz per 5 gallons so do I want to divide that 1/4 oz by 4 so it's 1/4 strength?

If so, can someone check my math? I have a 2 gallon watering can so was thinking 1 oz or 30 ml to 20 gallons of water, divide both by 10 = 3ml to 2 gallons....then divide that 3 by 4 = .75 ml to 2 gallons of water...?

Thanks!

I went with my gut and did .75ml of transplant to 2 gallons of water. Let me know if I got it right. Here are my 3 girls in their new homes, #10 root pouch (love em!)

Most of us veterans have graduated to a "plop" - one plop, two plop, big plop, small plop. I kid a bit - I still measure 5 ml or so, or 10 mls or so - but the dosages don't have to be anywhere near accurate.

I measure for soil gallons because all my plants are different, and I use ~5 mls for 6 gallons, which would be about 8 mls for 10 gallons, and 1/4 would be 2 mls. That would be a 1/4 dose for 10 gallons of soil. I typically use 3/4 to 1 gallon of water when I drench my 6 gallons of soil.

Nice looking plants! :bravo:

I broke it down like so...... 1/4 oz = 7.5mls. divided by 5 gallons = 1.5 ml per gallon.....that's my 1/4 trans.
Have great day ween & gang.:tokin:

Hi Budley! Thanks! I'll admit, I'm easily confused, I took the instructions from the bottle/what you broke down, was full strength and up potting calls for 1/4 strength transplant so I divided that solution by 4. Since you and Graytail are both close and Doc liked your post, I'm gonna try to stop over thinking things.

The 1/4 oz to 5 gallons IS your 1/4 strength. Full drench would be a 1 oz. plop in 5 gallons. I had to break it down to (per gallon) size since I don't use 5 gallon buckets.

Thanks again Budley! So following the instructions, I should foliar with Brix and de stress but not on the same days and the next watering should be GE and optional 1/4 transplant plus 2.5 ml of tea. Sound about right?

I gave em a good foliar Brix.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

I don't think your supposed to mix the TransWater with the growth Energy drench. Just the GE and tea. Trans water is used on its own. That's the way i was taught anyways.

Cheers ween

Right out of the instructions.

Transplant Should be used during the bloom phase alternating with Growth Energy. It is used at 1/2 to 2 oz per 6 plants (30 square feet.) Some growers have found that essential oil and resin production can be increased by using 1/4 oz of Transplant evenly distributed to every plant with each and every watering....whether with a drench or with just plain water. Please note, this does not mean 1/4 TO EVERY PLANT, but 1/4 oz divided equally to all plants

.

Edit - just noticed it says bloom phase in the first sentence . So....yeah your call.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

OK ...just relax there ! Noob, you did it correct OK. Here is a very typical water /feed schedule for using the "kit" properly in veg. and bloom!
GE Drench W/Tea.......Water with1/4 Trans (could be straight water too)....Water with 1/4 Trans (could be straight water too)......Transplant Drench with Tea......Water with 1/4 Trans (could be straight water too)......Water with 1/4 Trans(could be straight water too).....GE Drench with Tea......Repeat....Repeat! Remember people , the last thing we want is a build up of salts in our soil , so if you are giving all that Transplant every single time you water ,...imagine by the third run of this soil ...just how much you will have added....too much...get it! Now there are obvious variations on this as different growers will have their own methods of tweaking the Kit but this is how i've done it (with changes every once and a while...call it the Ziggs syndrome...:thumb:) for almost four years now. As far as the sprays go....you have to be careful with them as they can have dramatic effects. Only spray Brix (with wayAx10 too) every week to 10 days and only spray Destress when they are stressed, period and never on the same day as Destress. The only time i use the Destress is during the first two months of life , when i'm doing all kinds of LSTing , SC'ing and topping...or if any other stress enters the picture. You just don't need it if all seems well and golden....don't use it if this is the case. If you spray Brix more than every 7 days at full strength , you WILL burn the roots...i've done it! Any Q's. ....i'm here for a while this afternoon.....watching Canada / Russia tonight!:thumb:

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Thanks everyone! Yes, I read somewhere that some people use the 1/4 transplant every water but it must have been in the instructions where Nis pointed out that is in bloom. Either way I will alternate as Duggan suggests.

Couple more days and the will fully realize what they are sitting in.......then, BOOM

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

11 days in and the Clones are doing pretty good for the most part, a couple look very sad but that's ok because I don't have room for all of them. How long should I leave them in the 6 ounce pots? Should they go in #1's soon or wait until they are root bound?

I have 4 alien abduction clones in #1's, they're very lanky, maybe 2 feet tall with 4-6 inches between nodes. I think I may chop em and concentrate on the others. I do have 1 alien abduction in a #2 that is shorter and bushy which I will probably put in kit soil, #10. That would leave me with 4 plants in kit soil to care for and 5-7 clones needing to veg. Dag nab it, so much for only having 3 plants!

Cull the lanky ladies?
