Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Top of the day to ya brotha Ween!:high-five:
Hope all is well in your world....your girl came back to life. Just a thought for ya bud.....don't stress her any more now,....just leave her alone and let her develop some nice healthy leaders, just wait a couple weeks , if you can and let her grow out a while. Just as Budley mentioned too, don't let the soil get too dry in Bloom like we do in veg. The only reason we do it then , is to encourage root development , so that later on , in Bloom , she has a great support system , with a very strong foundation. In Bloom , keep it moist , a lil tip. If your pots are bigger, and you can't lift em any, try sticking two fingers in,..all the way , if they come out clean....give her a drink,...easy peasy bud! Never fails! If the top, 3 inches is dry, it's time, that's dry enough. Imagine how nice a flower bed looks if it gets lots of rain, and sun,...inside we're at a disadvantage because of drainage, so keeping the soil moist , but NOT wet is very important,....OK Ween. have an awesome day bud....oh ya ,..ya might wanna get a plan for supporting all the colas your gonna create there! :thumb::cheertwo: Have a great day Ween and gang!:circle-of-love:

Don't let them run dry in bloom ween, that's only for veg. Keep'em moist but not swimming either. I currently have 10 gal softies, I give them 1.5 gals. every 3 days (1 gal in the saucer, 1/2 gal dribbled over the top)

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Wanna make sure I have this schedule right.

Here is a very typical water /feed schedule for using the "kit" properly in veg. and bloom!
GE Drench W/Tea......
.Water with1/4 Trans (could be straight water too)...
.Water with 1/4 Trans (could be straight water too)......
Transplant Drench with Tea.....
.Water with 1/4 Trans (could be straight water too).....
.Water with 1/4 Trans(could be straight water too)....
.GE Drench with Tea......Repeat....Repeat! 3

So the last was straight water with the ewc recharge to dress, before that was 1/4 trans with tea and before that was GE with tea.

Next water should be full trans with tea correct? Then 1/4 trans or water X2 then back to be.

You would be correct ween. :passitleft:

I must say, that was one impressive save you executed. +Reps for that. Don't need to do it again. You can usually get away with that mistake once in flower. Unfortunately I speak from experience. Lol!

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Ween, evening bud, i wrote those instructions and , why do you keep wondering if they are right? just curious. After you run a few different crops thru and get a feel for it , that's when you can start to change it up here and there. If you deviate from those very easy instructions before you get the "hang" of it everything you do will be guess work. The feed schedule for the kit is a rock solid foundation for learning how it works. Your feed schedule also depends on what "run" of soil you are using. For example, 3rd run soil is very rich from being amended and re-cooked, three times. it is harder to manage, but has a lot of benefits too. First run soil is the most forgiving and is hard to mess up a crop cuz that soil doesn't have the salt build up that third run does. With first run,...i would recommend 1/4 transplant more often with the "only water" drinks than , say 3rd run stuff....got the picture bud. Also members should remember that adding Transplant to the water when they do a transplant with using "roots" is not necessary...as this "newer" version of it has a Transplant" replacement added to it. So a light dusting of roots and plain water at transplant time is just peachy! Cheers Ween and Gang!:circle-of-love:

Hey stage!

+11

Gave em each between 1.5-2 gallons of water with 3 plops about 9ml of trans and 1 plop about 2ml of tea. Next 2 will be straight water then ge.

Still only 1 showing her lady parts and nothing definitive on the other 2 but possible pistils on both. Carnival still has a dozen leaves that look rusted. I had 4 stem splits when i tied her down, DOH!

Any thoughts on this rusty looking leaf? I'm not too worried about it since that's the only one.

That looks like Brix burn to me - nothing to worry about. If the stoma aren't open, it can sit on the leaves too long without getting absorbed.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Great thanks GT!

On to my next problem which isn't really anything you all can help me with just thinking out loud. My 3 veg girls are quickly outgrowing their armoire grow space. I was thinking of throwing the 2 smaller ones in a cardboard box with my 2nd Mars hydro 96 led which will be fine for a short time but they will certainly outgrow that quickly and will need to go into #10's fairly soon. Moving them to the box will leave the big one enough space in the current space for the most part but she is going to need to be flipped sooner than my flower tent will be ready for her and her current space is not light tight, poor planning, DOH! After 13 days of 12/12 only 1 of 3 is showing definitive pistils, hoping that was a result of the stress I put them through early in flower with lack of water and heavy LST but if they show balls, I guess that would solve my space issue, not what I want but am prepared for. #¥*UPDATE*¥# carnival is showing her lady parts and pretty sure money maker is too so all 3, no room for Alien Abduction 3.

Who doesn't love whales!? The 2 on the left are in #1's on a 5 gallon bucket and the 1 on the right is in a #10 and was pruned to fit better in the space.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Please shoot me in the face before I buy more growing gear! Any suggestions for a small tent I can flower 1 girl in? I'm thinking 2x2x4 or 5....? One day I'm gonna talley up everything I've purchased for this hobby.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

For most of veg, (if your temps are good,) you don't really need a tent - they don't need the smell confined or outside light blocked.
You could flower in your veg tent if you move the veg plants outside.

Thanks Rad! Temps are getting cold which is why I moved everything inside from the unheated garage and I only have room for one of my two 4X4 tents. My 1 tent has 3 large plants in bloom and there is no more room. I have 3 girls vegging in an armoire which is also too small. I can fit a small tent inside to flower the 1 big vegging girl leaving the smaller 2 to veg in the armoire. I was looking at a 2X4x5 but that may be too short and a little much lengthwise, also looking at a 2X2.5x5'7" which may limit the # and size lights a can hang. Thoughts? What's another $100 or so...?
