Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

Did that last summer. The doc gave me the very nice scissors that he cut my barb off to remove hook from finger. Said this happened all the time and next time I could just do it myself lol. Funny thing it was catching pike as well while visiting Ontario.

That was cool of the doc. I'm not sure how that would work though, if the barb is not buried then the hook should come right out and if it's buried then there is no way to get to the barb. Mine was buried. I tried pulling it out and was lucky I didn't have pliers or I would have tried harder to pull it out, not good. It was worth it going to er. Got a tetanus shot.

Upcan today!

It was not a big deal. I have a small puncture in my finger with a Band-Aid. Good to go.
Hey there Ween! Ladies are looking great as always.
Wanted to say when I was around 13 I was out fishing with this guy, we were on his boat at a lake outside of town. The night before he asked if I could check the hooks, make sure there nice and sharp. I checked them over and said I thought they are good to go. He liked to sharpen his own hooks... anyway to shorten this up...
We were out on the water and my hook snagged some brush. The guy said we’ll hold on we will go and get it. Me being the impatient kid I was said, oh no I think I got it, so I have a good yank on that pole... so here the thing, he gave me this hat and some huge ridiculous sunglasses, there was only about half an inch between the bill of the hat and the sunglasses... so I jerked that pole and that damn thing came flying out so damn fast. Flew right at my face... was using one of those rigs with two treble hooks... one wound up in my left eyebrow! The other left a terrible poke and scratch on the left lense right where my eyeball woulda been. I coulda lost my eye that day, if it weren’t for those glasses I’m pretty sure I woulda. So anyway, he tried getting it out but, like you, we went to the ER and had it removed. Had to share that when I saw what happened. I’m happy you’re ok and able to tend to your plants!

Thanks Daj! Glad you didn't get a hook in the eye, that would have really sucked big time! Your incident makes mine seem like a non event, ha! It really was not that bad, I even got in and out of er in 1.5 hours.

Shitty luck with the hook. Glad you didnt pull a dark and almost take an eye out! Thats Scary you almost took your eye out Dark! Sometimes things work out for the best eh?

I know, crazy, Dark could have been sporting a pirates eye patch.

Roots were not perfect but pretty darn good and I had to up pot today. What a chore! I had my 2 bins of 1st run soil up in my loft, had to lug them down and out to the garage. 3 cogs got tomato cages and SPS did not but she is sitting on top of an upside down 15 (need to find something a little shorter. I was beat after all that so didn't do much training yet. I did gently pull a bunch of cogs branches outside the 2nd ring of the cage, see pic. More training later or tomorrow.

1/2 way done, ha!

Cogs that got a little training.

Those roots are killing it. A little more top water between they be just perfect. I pulled mine a bit premature but I think they were still basically ready to up pot. Well done ween

Thanks Dark! I need to get better at adding a little water between drenches. Still, I'm pretty happy with these roots.

High Ween! :passitleft:
Root porn....mmmm.:ganjamon:

Hey stage! Good to see ya bud!

Looking great, WMO! :bravo:

It's probably too late to give advice on that "lanky" seedling a few pages back that stretched while you were away but, when I have a seedling stretch like that, I just train it back down almost to soil level (rather than trying to support it). You need to be careful you don't break the stem at that early stage, but you should be able to tilt/bend it down and as it starts reaching back for the lights, the stalk will strengthen AND you'll have controlled the height. :goodluck:

:Namaste:

lady's going well in here! amazing roots Ween!:Namaste:

Thanks Wizz! Happy roots, Happy plants! These girls are happy! They're loving their fresh 15 gallons of soil! I'm a little scared, they've taken over the 4x4!

Thanks Krip! I'd be pretty scared to do that. When I went to put the supports in, I accidentally bent one and thought I had lost it. Both lanky girls are doing good, Slurricane still does not have the true leaves but star pupil has 2 tiny sets. She is way behind the others so we'll see what happens with her. I may take a clone of the COGS to replace the slurry.
