Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

FAKE!...:rofl:...:thumb::high-five:...cheerz...h00k...:rollit:

Ha! thanks hook!

Those plants are rocking ween! They are getting to be monstrous in those 1s! You should enter that first pic of the seedling with the seed coming off it into the photo of the month contest if you havent entered yet bud! Depending on what your roots look like ,it looks like they are just about ready to be transplanted!

Thanks Yeti! Way ahead of you on that pic. I'll be transplanting early next week. They're almost needing a drink every day, its 2 days right now. Roots are looking good. I'll post some pics of them before the next drink.

:passitleft:

I agree with Yeti, that pic is awesome Ween! And yea, holy shit those are some big girls there, and beautiful too!
Great work!:thumb:

Thanks Daj! If 1 COGS got me 10 zips, does that mean 3 will get me 30? Ha! I'm psyched about these and even More psyched about my seedlings! 4 for 4!

Have a rockin night you guys!

:theband:

Thanks KB! Have you gone to docs kit? Yes I took that pic with my cell. Brought her outside for some natural light. The shell is now off of her.
Aye, have my soil cooked and just waiting for my blueberry in coco to finish up before I pop some seeds . Just ordered my mister for foliars and probably going to order some extras from doc for stock in case I need super drenches or something wonky.

Awesome! You're gonna love it! Let us know if you start a journal and we'll help out if needed. For popping seeds, I've been using docs method of putting right in the soil the last 2 times and got 7 of 8 that sprouted in 3 days. Very happy and I recommend it. You just have to soak the soil basically. I put about 3 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket, filed the 1s with soil, dunked them and poured more over top, added more soil and wet that down, create a divot with a pencil or something like that about a 1/4 inch deep, sprinkle a small pinch of the "roots" powder, drop the seed in and lightly cover with soil, then I hang a contractor light with a splitter so it has 2 CFL light bulbs about 5-6 inches above the soil for heat and light for when they break ground, also put a temp/th sensor in there to monitor heat, right at the level of the soil.

Welcome to club brix KB! Its paradise here, you'll never want to go back. :passitleft:

Hey All! Seedling worries here! I was away for a couple days so was not able to coddle my little ones. I came back to somewhat of a mess. 2 have streched like mad even though I had the light about 4-5 inches away, they were an inch or so away when I got back, one is gonna need support, one looks ok. My slurry is freaky looking, only has the 2 cotyledon leaves, no serrated leaves, is this OK? Will they show up soon?

Lastly, my star pupil is all twisted and funky looking, think she'll be ok?

So I watered my veg girls Friday morning and was expecting the pots to be light and ready today but there is still a little weight to them. Roots are Looking pretty good. These 2 pics are the same plant but the other look similar. Plants are looking very healthy so not looking like they need transplanted right away. What do you think? Transplant or let go longer in the 1's?

I had one like your slurry before amd it unfortunately never grew any leaves just keep getting taller till I ended it. I’d imagine your star should be fine once leafs take off.

Thanks Dark! I was kinda worried about that, only had 1 slurry seed. Also, my star pupil does not have any serrated leaves either, that I can see, her stem is thick and ribbed (for her pleasure) never seen anything like that. I was hoping to see 4 healthy babies when I got Home. should I let the slurry and SP go for a bit or pop some more seeds?

I let mine go in hopes something would pop. But best bet would probably be get some other backups going just in case

I had a seedling that sprouted with no true leaves but it did finally grow some, and ended up looking normal. But I don't think you can count on it.

The stretchy ones should be ok if you keep them supported.

:goodluck:

I have to let it go since it was my only seed but will pop a couple more in a few days if I need to.

Fingers crossed that I'll get true leaves!

On the really stretchy one, I went to put a pipe cleaner around it and it's stake and bent its really weak stem, not too bad but that one may not make it either. bummed out but not giving up hope.

Best guess, what could cause that?

I really don't know KB but my only guess is genetics....?

Hey Ween......late to the party here. Got a bit to catch up on so give me some time brother but will catch up on some slower days when the back won't let me do anything else.

Hey Van! Welcome to the party! This journal is very old so I can catch you up real quick on what's going on. I have 5 clones in veg that will be transplanted into 15's in a week or so. Those are coked out girl Scout and sweet pink stink. Last week I planted 4 beans, sugar cane (stretched and possibility of being a goner because I bent her fragile stem adding support) Black Cherry Punch (also stretchedbut is otherwise healthy) Slurricane has no aerated true leaves but will give it a few days and star pupil is not liking good. Man wad I psyched when all 4 beans popped inn 3 days but now I may need to pop 3 more, ugh.

Thanks for stopping by!

So if it was me I would give everything a few days and see what they do. PotChimp has a couple of AC/DC seedlings that came up with no true leaves. He has said it has happened in the past and the plants either died or grew the apical meristem from the side. I would not give up hope until it dies or just grows too weird for you to keep. Worst case I would wait a few days and if no progress start a new one to take its place but keep growing it out in hopes of being able to clone it or flower at a later run. The star Pupil I would give a shot as well. if it does not straighten out in a few days pop another.

As for the plants in 1s that is up to you. Those are some killer roots! I never get roots quite like that on mine. How does the soil in the pots feel? It is all hard and spongy? If so it may be close to time to up pot. When my soil gets firm and spongy I feel assured that there is nothing but roots throughout the pot at that point.

Hope you get the seedling issue straightened out brother. Any idea of the issue?

Thanks Van! My best guess is genetic mutation but am not really sure. The stretchy one was really just clumsiness but it's looking like it may make it.

Thanks Yeti! I definately will give these some time before I pop more seeds but I don't have a good feeling about the SP or slurry. With SP, it's like the twisted leaves held up the stem from growing so it's like scrunched up, kinda like when you open a straw and push the paper down, one of the cot leaves has died.

As for the 1's, doc said to give it a week or more and to drizzle water on top between drenches because the roots are not coming to the top. These are the best roots I've had to date and the plants are very happy so let's see if I can approach doc like roots!
