Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

In my experience, it'll take 7-10 days for bloom to restart if it's going to. So, it's been almost three weeks? Yeah, they're done whenever you want to take them.

Sounds like a good plan. :thumb:

whats up Gray

I have a pair of girls just about the same time stage, top canopy buds have stopped
throwing pistals for a while now but I can see many lower popcorn buds are still pushing
them out, only the slights amount of Amber/black. The one I am thinking about harvesting
is BLACKBERRY and he is just now starting to show some of the black in the bud leafs so
trying to keep her going as long as possible.

I guess my question is since I am still getting pistals on the lower popcorn buds do you
think its wise to let her go another 5 days. just did the Last GE and want to give her 2
or 3 days to use it up and then 48hr dark ?

When they stop blooming, you're not getting any new trich development. Whatever calyxes the plant has built will fill out with resin, but the old trichs are deteriorating, so you're looking at a balance. You can get more weight, but the trichs are turning amber now. In my experience, the process takes awhile, but if you're not getting new pistils and calyxes, your crop is just getting old.

Most of my plants lean heavily sativa, and I find that mine almost always have a second or third wave of bloom. But occasionally, and it may be an indica trait, they just ... quit - no restart. But then, leaving indicas to turn a little amber is probably an enhancement. Is that Nirvana's Blackberry with the Black Domina parent? If so, you might as well wait until it's obviously done. You're probably still getting resin development, just no new trichs.

So yup, sounds good!

:Namaste:

Thanks Gray Very Much appreciated

No not from Nirvana, from an international breeder
and there description is very vague

Written as follows
"This hybrid is a result of crossing Afghani indica and Blackberry strains"
and listed as
80% indica / 20% Sativa
with 55 day indoor/flower

This one did love the KIT so will need to run it a few times to dial it in but
showing a lot of potential.

Any thoughts of harvesting the top colas and leaving the others on the plant to finish?

Thanks for the suggestion

I had considered that earlier and then kinda forgot about it.
I Never have done that, is there a special process for taking the top
buds ? only take 40? or maybe other type of techniques that work best ?
Again I dont think I have ever done any research into it at all

Honestly I've never done it myself, I've just used underdeveloped buds for oil. But seen other growers use the technique so thought I'd mention it.

I've never seen anyone talk about technique ... :hmmmm:

When I do it, it's because the lower growth, out of direct light, still has that fresh look to it, with white pistils, etc. So you can just trim off whatever looks tired and ready to chop, and leave the rest. Another advantage for those with low light, is that you can raise the rest of the plant closer to the light to finish it.

Thanks, sounds easy enough

Being in a position to try I don't see any reason to not see what happens ;)

Girls got a nice GE and I think I'm gonna do one more then chop. I got a new cell so wanted to see how the pics came out but I don't think they're great.

Looking Good Ween!...pics are pretty decent...prolly gonna' start my 2018 adventure shortly...got some soil cooking(My Blend) since late March...getting some double digit daytime temps, so I'm getting stoked!...congrats on your upcoming harvest...:thumb::high-five:...cheerz...h00k...:rollit:

Thanks Hook! Hoping it warms up here soon too! Did you see my story a page pack about a "wolf" killing a deer on the lake last weekend? Well, someone got pics with a high power lens and it was identified as an Eastern Coyote, either way it was amazing and unusual to see it take down the deer all by itself! That lake will probably be frozen for another 3-4 weeks, ha! D'OH! Looking forward to your next journal!

Amazing job :Namaste:

Thanks Gazoo! Happy 420! :passitleft:

Girls look good bud and the pics came out decent too! :high-five:

Thanks Yeti! I think I'll still use my point and shoot for better pics, these came out a little darker than I'd like but decent for sure. Happy 420! I'm gonna go over to plat/next to see if the plat/slurry is available!

Girls are amazing ween. Happy 420 buddy

Thanks Dark! Happy 420! :yummy:

Happy 420 Ween! Those ladies look awesome man! Great pics too, I think they came out pretty good!

Thanks Daj! The phones aspect ratio is set to 18:9 or something like that, never seen that option before but it's a pretty big screen and that ratio fills up the screen so it's like a wide angle lens sort of. Happy 420! :ganjamon:

Top of the morning to ya Ween.
Looking top notch for a great harvest....awesome cultivating bud.....just awesome!

Thanks Brother! I wish the yield was higher but it's top quality for sure! Happy 420!

Haha. I like how they make fake plants now. One slightly yellow leaf just to prove it's "real." Nice try. Those plant props are probably from the same place I get mine!
