Amy Gardner Of Eden: Perpetually Organic

Time and Tide wait for no one
:Namaste:

So hey - yesterday I was sitting outside while the veg box inside was open and a wonderful play of reflection and backlight gave me an outdoor plant!
:D

:ciao: happy Friday all!

Our friends had a lovely pup who would stare into the oven all day. They had no idea what was up with her.

Until they realised that she was actually spending time with her "friend", her reflection in the glass pane of the door.

They had too many pups, so eventually they had to give her away to a nice lady in the same village.

The good news? Her friend got to go with her!! :ganjamon:

Grow Amy Grow!
Thanks so much oops for such kind and encouraging words :D I hope things in your world are going as well as they can be!

I haven’t had much energy to post updates lately. Everything is still alive. I still wonder if the light is too bright in the little box - the (only just) surviving clones Which aren’t even under it seem to lean away from it and certainly are NOT leaning towards it. I haven’t gone so far as to turn it down even further... I’m not sure why. I am nervous it’s the wrong thing to do I suppose but should just give it a whirl.

Thing is, I’m on a it of a schedule here! I am already stretching the friendship regarding managing the environmental conditions towards the end of the flowering run I’ve just started. I’m not flipping the Candida CD-1 until the 17th Oct so that will be a Christmas harvest and that’s already a couple of weeks later than I had planned. So, I don’t want to do anything to jeopardise the timing.

I’m running a little test with the NJ x KC seedling. I could swear it was leaning away from the centre of the light the other day so I took a pic and turned it 180deg. I’ll take another pic today and see if it has adjusted or not.

Thinking about it from the ‘diodes per sq. ft.’ perspective it’s 430 diodes inside 600 x 420, so what does that work out as? :hmmmm: I haven’t done that math but a quick brain glance tells me that’s a lot /sq. ft.! @Graytail So maybe some ridiculously low setting will work. It seems ridiculous to me now at 30watts from the wall, but I’m not sure the plants are digging it.

I’ll get back to y’all about that!

Meanwhile tonight, as I get back into vaping to give myself a break from the hammer, I am reading about vaporisation temps and having a ripper of a time with the very friendly Panama (that I am toking a sample of mid-cure which I said I wouldn’t do :cheesygrinsmiley: but Eddie died! So I had to ).

I came across this nice article about vape temps and thought I would drop it off for everyone here

 :ciao: photos next time!

Update: State of the Garden(er)
:peace:

Everything that needs to happen for the plants is happening, just. Not much else. I’ve not done a spray/drench for gnats for too long as I’m just not up to it. They aren’t too bad in numbers but they’re still a ‘presence’ so I still wonder if my mosq. dunks are maybe old - do they ‘expire’ I wonder? I’m sure they used to be more effective for me.

Anyway, for the most part the plants are doing fine despite my current lack of ability and the little flying fookers!

The new veg box is settling in nicely. Waist-height garden is a game changer!

The DDA (d#4) wannabe Spog got the brunt of my neglect over that last month and didn’t really like it’s time in the veg box while we overhauled the tent.

Still, it’s efforts to be a Spog are failed by its capacity to grow me a few buds :D. It’s very small and every delicious morsel will be savoured!

Took these using Ye olde tech of the loupe in front of the phone camera (as well described by Shed, here).

The Candida CD-1 still exhibits signs of light stress - or something else. It is at least growing up toward the light now, but the fade at the leaf edges up the top could be light stress. It could be soil/root related too, as it’s only a half gallon pot - but I veg’ed the Sour Bubba exactly the same way (in same batch of soil and same inputs) and it was great!

Candida is a variety prone to some light sensitivity in my exeperince so I think it’s a good chance it could be.

I’m not too fussed, it’s doing fine and will get transplanted and flipped when the moon turns new next weekend.

It’s possibly ready now... but prep needs to happen so I need to wait for help with that! Plus, I resist transplanting leafy greens or fruiting plants on the dark moon. It’s ideally a new moon activity
:hippy:

CBD#1 took 10days to initiate flower (pistil hairs visible in the tops) once under 12/12 lighting. That seems long-ish but it meant some nice extra veg time to spread out. It’s a good looking variety! It’s given me my first 11-blade leaf

Last but not least, by a long shot, is the Nepal Jam and Kali China. Very vigorous and lush looking. It seems fine with the light, although it is a few inches lower that the top of the CD-1.

I am aiming for super short veg on that one and small pot for flower - a test run. I’m still on the fence about whether to top it. I’m inclined to let it go natural so I can see how it grows... time will tell :)

Low-ebb times like this mean little to no action with the fancy camera - I can’t hold it up at the moment - so critter pics don’t really happen. That doesn’t mean a lack of critters of course ;) The local kangaroo mob are enjoying the rain filled spring and are adding a few members at the moment.

All three of these adult females have joeys in pouches. I love it that our place is where the moms and bubbas come and hang out, they’re here nearly all the time ATM. Such beautiful comforting company

Waist-height garden is a game changer!

Nice. Good to get some of the right things right sometimes :high-five: Well done.

It’s very small and every delicious morsel will be savoured

It sure is fun watching you dark devil devotees sighing over every morsel. Must be something special.

Ah. Sorry to hear it’s knocked it out of you again.

It’s given me my first 11-blade leaf

:yahoo:
Sure is pretty.

Lovely ‘roos. :green_heart:
Great update. Your clone looks like she’s going to do well.

I hope you’re having a good day.

I still wonder if my mosq. dunks are maybe old - do they ‘expire’ I wonder?

The dunks are (allegedly) good for 30 days, but in my system (a 5 gallon bucket) with new water being added every few days, I think it may "wash out" the BT, meaning that I should be adding a fresh dunk every 2 weeks or so...if I remember to do it...
The dunks are actually meant for standing water or fountains (closed systems) , so replacing the water every few days would mean you'd also need to replace the dunks a bit more often, so the BT doesn't get so diluted that It can't/won't do it's job...
Anyway, that's my take on the dunks...

And your plants are looking great!
I see what you're seeing on the CD-1...If it is light stress, she doesn't seem to mind it much- she's looking pretty darn happy!

Oh I put a fresh one in regularly! I mean expired in the packet... do they lose their efficacy over time ‘on the shelf’?

I realised after Posting that I was not clear about that!

I might try adding a fresh one a bit more often, as I, too, replace the water a lot (6gal water res.)
plants are looking great!
Thanks! Hanging in :D
another way?
With my fancy macro lens!

One day you will know!

:thumb: thanks donk! I let the other ones die and kept this one as it survived the neglect and was still looking ok. It got a good pruning a couple of days ago. It’s the first time
having a good day.
.

I will later I’m sure :laughtwo: I am in a medical testing day. Had to eat something radioactive and then they take pics of my stomach every hour for 4-5 hours. So I have to fast outside of that and had to stop all meds that aid gut motility for 48hrs so I’ve been off the canna since Friday

Currently resting in the park between ‘photo shoots’ ;) ... with a river to look at and clouds...

I’m now in the medical imaging centre. They’ve let me lie down in one of their rooms between the next scans.

I just noticed on my calendar that today is jar popping day for the Panama ... so I think I’ll compensate myself at the end of this tricky day with some of that! Perfect timing. :slide:

That 11 blade leaf plant is a doozy, wow! If those dunks can expire, you can bet they have if you're doing everything the same it's plausible and right up my luck alley. Washing them away seems reasonable too...
Glad you've been given a spot to sit put. Your scenic pictures have a peaceful vibe, hope those views are carrying you through the test day!

Added: I thought this might be in your wheelhouse ;)

I hope the imaging showed them exactly what they were looking for.

Most likely. I'm sure it will be happy in flower.

Hope it was organic...
