Amy Gardner Of Eden: Perpetually Organic

numbers in brackets mean, e.g. Sour Bubba - day 85 (33/22), Panama - day 47 (+14)?
Means SB is 85days since sprout, 33days since changing to 11/13 lighting and 22 days since showing pistil hairs (stigmas) in the tops (which is when I count ‘flowering start’ from). Panama doesnt have a flip date as it was grown under 11/13 lighting from a seedling so it just has 14 for 14 days since stigmas showed in the tops.

I am tracking it like that to help me follow how long different varieties take to initiate flower Once in 12/12 or 11/13 lighting. For example, those numbers tell me that SB took about 10days to show stigmas in the tips and Panama started flowering at about 4.5weeks old.

Cat = Cationic drenches and they are part of the high brix growing system I am using for some of these plants. They temporarily flip the ionic charge of the soil which can trigger a big reproductive push within the plant. Depending on the timing they can either increase trichome production or help with building bigger buds.

Hope youre doing ok today Hash Girl - thanks for the well wishes :passitleft:

Gorgeous! That tent is producing some amazing results.
I want the space (suddenly I’m like a hospital administrator)!
LOL and :(
Oh, I know. I haven’t dropped the next seeds yet.
Two indoor winter runs...did you do that last year? Either way... :thumb:

CBD for months!
It’s the kind of winter rains we didn’t get last year and it feels good.
I miss rain (my leaky roof notwithstanding), and we didn't get enough last winter. Glad you're neck of the wood is making up for it.

Why, when and how do you wash your buds?

Why, when and how do you wash your buds?
That question has a double answer, in my case I am using a product called leaf wash from Doc Bud and am transitioning from veg to flower an I want use it as a bug preventative that I spray on the plant. The other bud wash is a wash after harvest to clean your produce much like veggies. :thumb: usually a three bucket system or 4 if you have mold first bucket H2O2 hydrogen peroxide second bucket lemon juice, third and fourth water :hmmmm: :ciao:

Why, when and how do you wash your buds?
Here's how Dutchman1990 and many others do it. It's a short video.

It removes any bugs and dirt that has built up within the bud. If you have PM and you use the H2O2 then it helps remove that as well.
It's really beneficial for outdoor growers but indoor growers do it too.

What's with the bamboo poles?
Couple things... I have them shoved into the pots to give me something to anchor the branches to if I want to spread them out or for if they end up needing support (not likely on the SB - it’s stems are strong!).
I have others loosely secured horizontally between the tent poles to stop the negative pressure in the tent from sucking the sides in :). The horizontal one at the front is easily movable up and down, so I can get it out of the way easily.
Amy, what time of day is best for leaf wash? lights on/off? just before lights on I would think but thought I'd ask around. too bad Docs not available
Sorry I missed that! But yes, I do it the same timing as the other foliars, just at or just after lights-on. Only difference w Leafwash is that I don’t do it under the lights - I either turn them off or spray them outside of the tent and wait till they dry off a bit before putting them back under.

d said it already but...

budwash = done after harvest to clean dust and other crap off buds.

Leafwash = a product that is sold for the purpose of spraying down the entire plant during the veg cycle. It’s made of neem oil, karanja cake oil and orange oil. It privides some foliar feed but it’s main purpose is as part of “integrated pest management” (IPM) practices. Itaslo makes the plants look even more incredible! Gives them a nice protective coating for a while :)

Gorgeous! ...amazing results.
Thanks buddy! I think I’ve corrected the light leak :fingerscrossed:

That’s because this year is the whole new approach to the schedule where I try semi-perpetual and stagger the main, larger-pot, plants and run autos and/or untopped photoperiods in small pots at 11/13 from seed, like what I’m doing w Panama. The CBD was loosely scheduled to go into dirt last week but I always knew the timing would need tweaking at this point, depending on the finishing of the autos etc. Plus, I veg’ed SB just a little bit longer ;)

I’m actually revising again and may drop them soon. I have to count back to when I think the SB will be done and work out from there when to drop CBD seeds. I’ve decided to run both. Why choose, right! I’ll run the Ace CBD as a small one, in some of this new super soil, and see what it looks like and how it grows and the Candida will get the last of the second run HighBrix soil in a 6-7gal pot and veg a bit in the veg box I am yet to make (coming up to needing it  better get it done! Hard to find help).
we didn't get enough last winter. Glad you're neck of the wood is making up for it.

We are in a La Niña cycle now... better fix ya roof!

But Yah - we had 286mm in about 50hours, plus a big deluge a couple of weeks ago as well. All our tanks are full :D

It rained so much our main tank was overflowing for a long time so it really got a good wash through.

When I watered the plants yesterday the water was practically singing to me!! Honestly, I gave them plain water and it looked like a shimmering mountain stream as I was pouring it out. I can’t quite describe it. It was mesmerising... I wasn’t even high at the time but I was looking at the water like it was full of magic beans, which it probably was!

Yep, this year is pretty wet! And because of the super-dry season last year and then the summer of fire, dry... dry... dry, there were trees coming down all over during the winds that accompanied and followed the rain . The lovely other and I almost bruised each other as we gripped-on for dear life as 3 big ones crashed really very close to the house during 60-70kph winds (not quite cyclonic - but phewf! Heavy!). Taken out at the roots - entire rootballs ripped out. One of the downed trees took out the back of our shed  not too much damage, but wowsers the sounds! The crunches! The wolloping thumps! Life in the forest of Eden!
:smokin2:

So listen all, I need some quick advice about accidental cloning... :nomo:

I wasn’t really trying to make clones at all, just experimenting with cutting in various situations.

It’s been about 5 weeks I guess, some I’ve chucked and a few a still have. Last week I saw root nubbs showing on one that was in a clear glass of water with a few others and I took it out and put it by itself in a clean 25ml tincture bottle full of water. It’s roots went crazy really quickly!

and now I need to know what to do with it!

It looks ready to plant to me. Amiright?

If so, I am planning to put it in a little solocup-sized pot of very diluted super soil (I’ll cut it w coco coir to dilute). Sound about right?

And I am not clear what I do for it now in terms of light. How and when do I start giving it more light?

Oh... and how deep should I plant it?

That’s a few questions... :nomo:

So glad you are alright, Amy! Those eucs are truly frightening - we had one that was at least
100-foot high come down a short distance from the house 3 winters ago. Wow - what a sound! o_O

I am glad you asked your questions about your water baby. I have one too. :Namaste:

Looks like mine is ready to plant! :yahoo:
