Aloha Grown With Sunny

Great trichome pics, and the colors on that Caramel Cream are out of this world! :high-five:
Congrats on your Kalishnakov harvest as well! Did yours have that intense aroma of pine tree and was fruity too.
Yes, indeed. Pine, earthy and sweet all at once!

That's an āiwaiwa lineup you've got there @Sunnyskies I grew the Colorado Cookies not too long ago and it was a big bountiful girl. Top quality buddage and a good yielder. It will be fun to see how our Seedsman Blueberry and QP auto crosses compare to each other throughout the grow. I gotta hang my light back in my tent now that it's all scrubbed clean and I'll be ready to go. I'm looking forward to learning how to train autos instead of just letting them run wild. This should be fun!
Beez...Sunny is growing some great autos and I think he is topping. I did lst only on my first auto grow and the s curve mains are stretching a bit more, but pretty even canopy. Im feeling Sunnys future lineups will guide mine as well.

Thanks Sunny, I appreciate the love and the kind words over in my journal too, brother. You certainly have the magic touch with your ladies, love those sweet strains. Can’t wait to see your next bunch, and the views that come with it! Mahalo my friend.

Mahalo my Braddah! The grow show will start momentarily and stoked to have you along my friend.

Aloha beez! I’m looking forward to the Colorado Cookies. Hopefully I can get a healthy seedling from my last seed. If not I’m gonna go with another cream mandarine xl auto.

it’s gonna be neat to compare the same strains and how they interpret themselves in different hands and setups. I know you grow the crip beez! I seeeen it! Feel to post up pics in here my Braddah

Aloha! @BeezLuiz Mahalos for the compliment my friend! Seems like the AK-47 carries that earthy pine trait. Gonna give the Kalishnakov a manicure before going into paper bag tomorrow. Looking forward to a tester doobie from the smaller nugs!

Beautiful garden and harvests Sunny! :yummy:

I meant to add this to my last post but eyes became heavy and I drifted off to sleep lol..

I have NOT planted any seeds yet but I like to put the strain identification in the pots ahead of time to avoid the whole wrong seed wrong hole debacle.

I will be using Mother’s Earth Ground Swell high performance soil on this run for the first time. It seems to be pretty legit stuff at a glance and I like the large amount of perlite it already has in it so adding extra perlite won’t be necessary.

The above picture is the soil straight out the bag. Seems like it will drain really well and it doesn’t clump at all when I squeeze a handful in my hand. I like soil like this which is why I normally add a extra perlite to my mix.

Now it’s time to prep my pots for planting  It’s just something I like to do a few days in advance before dropping any seeds so I can observe my situation and if my bags of soil had a bunch of bugs in it.

I’ve been using this plant probiotic on every run so far and I think it has made a difference. It certainly gets the micro herd of beneficials in the root zone going.

I just follow the 1/4 teaspoon recommendation on the back as far amount going into the hole.

Yep get your fingers in the hole and give it a good mix. When you are done just cover up the hole and make a fairly flat surface again.

Next I like to wet the soil down and in my mind activate the probiotics I just tossed in the hole. My apologies if I seem to be using the word “hole” heavily lol.. mini crater I suppose:hmmmm: See next post.

Okie dokie as I was saying in the above post I like to wet my soil down after adding the probiotics into my mini crater’s in every pot. I’ve been using this stuff in conjunction with the water at 5 ml to two gallons of water for this particular purpose.

Give it a good stir and it’s ready. I mainly water just enough without getting any run off from the bottom or the side of the pot.

My apologies for failing to get a picture but I do put a piece of cardboard over the pots to keep some of the moisture in. The lights are also off during this time since its not necessary for them to be on any way.

I will plant my seeds on Monday. If you notice I’m going with two smaller pots in the middle. No particular reason then I ran out of soil so instead of 3 gallon pots those two will be two gallon ones.

Sending you all lots of love and positivity from Hawaii as always:love:

WAIT MONDAY??!!!! I need to get on the ball. I have 8 pots to fill and 8 seeds to thoroughly scarify. Oh wait that will only take me 2 hours. No need to panic. o_O

Sunny, thanks for sharing the prep...will be getting busy in there soon.

Yes indeed my friend. Your cream Mandarine are firing!

Here comes the fun. I'm looking forward to catching this one in real time. Do you go straight into final pot with your autos then? That soil looks the business. I'll be messing about mixing the soil, wormcast and perlite tonight.

Aloha and Mahalo @BeezLuiz Haha I literally cannot say your name out loud and not smile and laugh!
Well, when I was registering a couple years ago I wanted to use beez0404. I couldn't believe it was already taken, and shouted "Geez Luiz!" Well, you can see what I settled with. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Your seeds are all off to a great start... and they're not even planted yet....
Thanks for sharing the prep procedure, Sunny!

Aloha Vet! Yes I plant in they’re final pot from the get go. No other reason then it’s just one less step for me and I can just let them rip haha I hope you are having a blessed day my friend!

:passitleft:

Had to Google the US gallon to litres conversion yet again. It just won't stay in my head

I do the same thing when converting liters into gallons especially when I’m reading a grow journal and they reference pot size in liters haha

Cool. I did that on my first grow and didn't have any issues really but then tried starting in smaller pots on my last grow and they seemed to take off a bit quicker. They didn't seem to notice being transplanted either. Just kept flying. Then this grow she's been slower starting in a small pot. So I'm not sure if it was pot size or other factors that impacted the rate of growth. Perhaps after this current one I'll try starting in a final pot again. As you say, it's one less step. Have an awesome weekend mate.

Good morning everyone halahalakaliki to one and all! I am fighting the urge to go into freak out mode this morning. I thought I was on track for a Monday morning liftoff with the auto flower grow. Well I bought brand new saucers (12") to go along with my new GeoPots (3 gallon) and started setting things up yesterday when I realized................I cannot fit 8 twelve inch saucers in my 2' x 4' tent!!! How can that be? Now what do I do? Oh good Lord it's happening, I'm freaking out! o_O :lot-o-toke::thedoubletake:

@Sunnyskies in one of your photos you have a little electric gadget in the tent in between some of your pots. Is that for temperature control or humidity control?
