All Aboard - Dabber Blooms Buds In The Tub Of Love

Taxes are what you pay for services where you live. I have nothing against paying CA taxes.

What Services? This state is crumbling apart and the money is spent or diverted in such a wasteful way. These taxes are pure corruption. The transiant situation is a nightmare. I think someone got stabbed in the neck the other day in santa monica. I know there is a huge fund for helping the homless and the money is untouched. Billions of dollars to help California’s homeless population are piling up — and going unspent its crazy to see so many tents lined on the side walks in la.

They just raised the gas tax too. The price of gas went up considerably just from the tax yet the roads and infrastructure are falling apart and dont get fixed. Tons of pot holes everywhere, the roads they do fix they end up removing a lane for a couple bikes to go through and are increasing traffic to slow down drivers.

Dont get me started on the bullit train that technically isnt really even high speed rail when we don't even have a water collection system. All our rain washes into the ocean then they complain about a drought but the bullet train is clearly more important.

 sorry for my rant i need to get out of Cali and im taking my tax money with me.

No problem rich! Vent away lol. I will say that summer 2008 I think I paid over 5 a gallon while living near SDSU. nuts. And I almost complained about the 3 something a dollar gas here before I bit my tounge.

Funny. I live in a state with tons of oil. No refinery, but still paying less than you are... weird. You would think after the cost of shipping the gas back up here we would be paying more.

California is like Vegas fun to visit not to live in. Assuming the area of California is densely populated. There are some great remote areas that are probably amazing.

California is fun to live in. Not all of it, but what state can claim that? :)

It’s not so bad, I love living in San Diego. We’ve got mostly perfect weather, traffic isn’t too bad (not that I drive anyway). There is always something to do or somewhere to go, a lot of it free. There are indeed a lot of “brobags” but I don’t go to their places much. There are a lots of cool people, just not usually at tourist places or downtown. I don’t look down at anyone for not being from here, but I do know many people who do. Other places people have for sure looked down at me for being from California and maybe having a bit of an accent and saying dude too much or whatever, but not really after they get to know me. :ganjamon:

My rent and bills are outrageously expensive, and everything basically costs more we call it the Sunshine Tax. I don’t really mind, I think I probably make more money and have more opportunity here than I would other places. :D

This ^^ :surf:

Most of our friends are from out of state. Funny, never thought much about it. Lotta transplants here coming in from other states.

I gotta say it is cool that I can hit the beach, the mountains, and the desert all in the same day. Lots of great wheeling, Hiking/ general outdoors. Just hard to have a life out here. It'll be nice to have some change and see what this election brings.

Happy 42

Great point. And like I said there are great parts. I lived in San Diego. But sitting on in stand still traffic for 2 hours on a 14 lane interstate.... na. Couldn't do LA. Maybe north or south but it ruined my experience. Not for visiting just for living there.

I suppose you're right doob. There are probably great dive bars and those type places I would fit in, but I gave up my bro Montana days after college, lol.

I guess most of my judgement of California is the places I've been. And I was quite fond of San Diego but not LA. But a lot of that is based on the hype and BS that LA trustifarians promote.

I spent a lot of time at barona casino. We would read trip from Tucson just for that reason. Sleep in the car in the parking garage. Or just gamble all night then crash on campus the rest of the weekend. Yeah I sure miss San diego. One of my best buddies is having his bachelor party there this summer and I really wish I could make it out there. Sure miss it. Most of us who couldnt afford to go to Europe for graduation did a trip out to Coronado.

Sorry, just so fun many memories when I think of it!

Lots of my instagram request seem to be from Cali lol funny observation of mine ?

Hey shed hope all is good bud

If you're never home because you're touring the world playing golf, then it doesn't matter where your home is. But if you live someplace, taxes are what you pay to live there. Some folks drive 50 miles to avoid a toll road or 15 miles to avoid a toll bridge. Some think it's worth paying.

And I don't believe his 60% number in any way shape or form. Maybe 50% with a shite accountant, and way over half of that number was Federal!
I saw the breakdown....of course its before his "charitable contributions" which would have brought it back down to a lower bracket. Not hard when you are in the top tax bracket which was 40% (39.5). Doesn't take much
I'm an avid golfer. And I remember him claiming almost 60 percent as well. Between 50 and 60... way too much. Last time I checked federal taxes are unconstitutional anyways.... but let's not turn that rock over today....

I dont pay sales tax in town either. Seriously wish everywhere could be more like Alaska sometimes.

Joe. Thanks buddy. I can't speak for the smoke on the ATF but there's no doubt it's a beauty to grow. I just hope some of those good looks carry over into the cross.

California would be wonderful if there were a 10th of the people for the current highways system. And people didnt look down on you for not being from there. But no doubt it is beautiful. I love the beach and the weather.

Ok I'm going to check my eyelids for holes be back
Oh it was right at 60%. Figure 40% for federal (39.5%), another 13.5% for state, can't remember his local taxes, and then FICA which was 2.5% if not mistaken. See how quickly that got up near 60%?

I don't care if someone makes 100 million a year or 10k a year. No one who earned their money should potentially have 60% of their stuff taken. There is a reason my end state is a state with no sales tax, income tax and no local taxes. I am a simple guy, don't need much in the way of services. Ain't states right a great thing!

Gas fell to a more affordable price but it was only a Matter of time. I think it added 15 or 20 extra cents per gallon. I think i filled up last for around $3.55. Not the worst but not good.
Don't ya love your 2nd go around with Govnah Brown!

Yeah I should have clarified a little.... I'm not a huge fan of the industry there. LA would be towards the end of my choices for places to work in the canna industry. Probably even after Fairbanks alaska....

I just can't stand the negativity. Drives me nuts. We should be dancing naked in the streets with how far cannabis laws have come instead, there are people so self absorbed and sick with narcissism they stem on any one and everyone to get to the top, and brag the entire way. It's just sad.....

If I were going to do California la would be last on the list. That's all. No disrespect to Hollywood. Wait all due disrespect intended, lol. It's just not a scene I could do daily.

Hey I don't knock people that want to live there. I loved it as a young guy living on base. Lots to do, great weather and tons of chicks and bars. But then I grew up and priorities changed. Didn't take long to realize that my idea of a good life is different from most peoples. I love being far away from people. I don't like any traffic. I would rather listen to animals than people. I don't want a neighbor. And I damn sure don't want to give away any more of my money than I absolutely have to. I certainly understand people that enjoy faster paces of life enjoying California greatly.

Hmmmm I'd choose Cali above Fairbanks just saying....
I would if it wasn't LA. Idk I think I just learning I'm not a big city person... different strokes...
