All Aboard - Dabber Blooms Buds In The Tub Of Love

Hey Them and friends, what's up with these new growth leaves? Serious ridges and folded in the middle. And some older leaves are showing variegation.

I'm asking here because it's been pretty slow on my side lately!
Could be boron.... new dark twisted growth. You still using the calcium? Need to be in ratio of like 1 to 10 with mag. Or there about. So it could be a rastio deal or maybe ph.... normal drill I would check runoff and such

Who are you calling a boron! Where do you get boron from? Stopped the vinegar/eggshell and just using cal/mag. Only thing I can think of is the one time I watered without my pH meter, maybe I messed it up. I think I'll flush tomorrow and start again. Thanks Them! :thanks:

Takes one to know one lol.... yeah idk man. It doesn't look like anything serious. I know my new growth looks a little rippled like that. However, when it reaches out too far and have a bit of that droopy look I narrow it down to cal mag over watering or PH.

Sneaking... Smeegol?

High Dabber, Shed...
Boron - it’s a mobile micronutrient. 20 mule team borax, is an effective boron source. A pinch can be plenty - but I don’t know anything about what’s in your nutes... maybe there’s plenty boron in there already :hmmmm:

My Light Boards are waiting for pickup at the local post office (town trip happens tomorrow!) :slide: I’m ordering the driver tomorrow - excited for the project!

:Namaste:

Hiya mr. Dabber/Amy..... I had the fortune of introducing "sneaking..Smeegol" to mr.Dabber today over in @Rider509 garden of "wickedness" replying to a question bout the qb120 on am@zon which I saw your qb project underway in your garden.

Would like to do indoors over winter as I'm all over at the moment with my girls moved them to farm a cpl weeks ago all outside.

But I've had a curveball thrown at me and it's 3rd strike and out he goes...... but loving all all this comraderie and wealth of knowledge from everyone that shares it.
So may your gardens bloom, and may your jars overflow with abundance.......:goodjob: everyone...

Grow Big is listed as: Ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, urea, blood meal, potassium nitrate, potassium sulfate, earthworm castings, Norwegian kelp, iron EDTA, zinc EDTA, manganese EDTA, copper EDTA, chelating agent, disodium ethylenediamine tetra acetate (EDTA), sodium borate and sodium molybdate.

That would be the only place they're getting any boron. I flushed them today and then gave them some mild nutes and I'll see if that changes anything. I'll keep checking new growth as most deficiencies don't get corrected in existing leaves. Dunno about boron specifically.

Thanks MadDab for letting me hijack!

No I appreciate you keeping the activity up. I'll try and be here more guys. Hope your weeks are shaking and baking (bacon?)

Ugh.... balls. Yeah no clue. I totally put that darn bag over them and I think the humidity got so high that if My sacs opened I couldn't tell.... So I sprayed again this morning. Bag is off. And if one opens theres gonna be seeds for everyone! Lol, well pollen everywhere at least.... I'm gonna check some pics and see if it looks like I have any that are open.

I’m going to be growing with it in the shed, during winter. I’m worried about cold. I’ll get a heat mat maybe to keep the pot warm but apparently my lights (QB) won’t make much heat.
I plan to insulate the box and run lights on during the cold early hours of the morning and lights off during the day when it’s warmer, but it gets cold in there. I’m using computer fans for in&out (it’s a 2x2x6’) and have been wondering about intake up high and outlet down low. Otherwise I’d be pulling in cold air right at the root zone and I don’t really want that!

I’m pleased to see that this is not, perhaps, a silly idea - that it might work.
I figure I can always flip the fans if it’s not working and thereby flip the flow easily if need be.
Thoughts?

I did an insulated grow box over the winter in a GH with temps as low as -10F. (It starts around page 16 on my journal.) I used the heat from the lights and small oscillating fan, mounted above the lights blowing downwards. I was running autos so 20/4 and I had the lights off at the warmest part of the day 10-2PM. I also used a germ mat which worked well.

Thanks Blew - I’m thinking I’ll do very similar to what you describe. With photo though, but yeah, planning to have day during night and dark during afternoon...

Will check out your journal, thanks :thumb:

There's your proof I can be done! I know peeeeece also grows in a shed I think. (Canadian, I think). So it can be done!
