You no what they are looking great an those little buds you are finding will make for great tea or for Kief or even smoke when you dont have anything even those small buds will be better than most of what you get on the streets I no they are meant to take some of the potencie away from the big buds but in the wild thats how they grow :circle-of-love:

Hey Alex!

Last grow i actually harvested almost every plant 2x, got the big buds off of them at proper harvest time, then let the small popcorns ripen for a week more. They did not grow much, but swollen up nice and got a great resin cover on them meanwhile. I think it was worth it - im sure i got more yield off of them then the cost of power i spent during that week. Think ill do the same with lemon if ill have the chance, this longer flowering time makes that popcorn even more valuable :)
Maybe i got 1/5th of the 'normal' yield this way in tasty strong popcorn (at least for sensi star, i did not measure all the popcorn finally, some i took off the dried plants just a month ago :) ).

To be honest i never tried defoil in later flower - no idea how it could affect top buds. You might get more that way with less hassle! Hope some expert can tell that. I just like to let them do their thing as much as possible, and this also prolongs harvest time a bit :)
 
I agree with Invi about not taking anymore leaves off this late in the game. Just let them do their thing:)
 
Great input invi that is definitely a thought. The girl on the right is a good week ahead so when it comes to it il prob do as u suggested and leave the lowers on for a bit. The lights wil be on anyway with the left side girl staying under lights longer

U got me reading and reading and reading into re-veg of harvestd girls :)

At first I thought once harvested I'd maybe send the better girl to my budys for him to attempt re veg and I'd keep my seedling for round 2 of Scrog....

Wen I get an idea into my head I have to follow it through and my new idea is.... If my right hand side girl yields ok ish I'm going to re veg her myself into a one plant Scrog under a 4 or 600.

My budy can have the seedling iv just planted. I'm so into the right hand girl at the moment she's amazing. In comparison to the left hand girl I'd rather keep her alive than maybe ending up witha lesser pheno from seed.

I'm not very good with clones. And the crazy branching archived with re veg is right up my street

So that's my master plan :)
So when this grow ends I might see if can be kept alive as on going journal following the life of my slh

I like the reveg Idea. Its funny, cause i got some magic beans waiting on me, but I wish I found a couple seeds in my first girl. :) I feel like Id like to give her another chance and grow her twice as big. I think we all look back and think, damn, she coulda been better. But Im gonna stick to the brand name beans for the next couple. Seeing some of what you guys grow makes me smile. :) :yummy:

Yea spimp I just think out of all iv grown iv been impressed with her. Especially when the pheno from seed can vary so much
For example I grew 5 blue cheese. Everyone almost identical!! These two slh are different and lookin at all the other slh growin here there's a lot of variation. I maybe think this is a good one.

Plus it's the plant that I left all the pop corn buds on so they can be the foundations for the re veg when the time comes
 
Hey Alex!

Hope the girls doing fine!

I'd suggest you try to take a few clones - i might be wrong but i have a feeling that by cloning your 'new' plant will have more energy with a freshly grown root system and branches. Clones grow much much better then seedlings right from start, and they are adult plants which means bushier stronger growth, more hardiness, more nute uptake. So you don't loose as much time on a clone as on a seedling (maybe even a month less veg), but i think you get a 'fresh' start just like with a seed.
Also don't forget, your soil might be a bit 'tired' - it has seen quite some veg and flo nutes and what not, it might need a little cleanup before re-using it - not necessarily, but likely.

Not sure what hormones you have access to, clonex works for me nice. Heard nice things about superthrive too, but i could never try it.

Just my thoughts, wait for other's input im sure there is more to it.

I am quite keen on the re veg idea though I must say. Mainly as when I look under the canopy and see the crazy branching a have and I look closer and see the tiny twin leaf new growth bud sites trying to grow like tens of them all over and I think they potentially are new growth stems if put back to veg after harvest. I read about the soil being worn out and that a re pot or similar is best. My tub is 42l iv got some 100 litre drums I would cut the top 3rd off and have 60 litre pot for the re veg. Shake as much old soil off the root mass before re potting her...
I guess u must be thinking my mind is pretty mush made up invi lol it isn't buy I am leaning towards it I must say.
I think it would make for a very interesting journal also as there's not a great deal on re veg after harvest floating about

I agree with Invi about the soil getting a bit worn down so a repot would be in order.
Have a look at miwa's journal its called my 2nd journal but its in the closed section. he is the reveg master :)

Yeah thats a good plan to get rid of as much old soil as possible - it will mean much bigger stress though than a normal repot.

And i'd be interested in that journal for sure, never tried this (well except once, but that was outdoors wich doesn't allow for much bud density around here + the spider mites she had to struggle with, but apart from that she looked as good as possible at harvest). If it works for you i might just forget the clones and do the same (esp if my clones don't make it).
Would be a nice journey to watch :)

Defiantly more stress I read one site were a dude took a hacksaw and cut the root ball down to about the size of a shoe box from the size of 3 shoe boxes and then re potted. I'd not be following that advice lol
Will be nice to have u along for the ride. Hopefully things go well now till harvest and I can follow this plan through

Thats (partially) how you make a bonsai i believe. Promotes branching and makes smaller growth - its nice tech for long time veg if your plant runs out of space.

Hope things will work out! Interesting plan so far :)
