Good evening my fellow 420 ers
Today is a day of changes to plans.
Perpetual heaven is no more I'm affraid.
My plan was two 3x3 rooms running 8 week veg in one n flower in the other.
Me and mrs801 have decided (she has decided) a perpetual grow is to risky. Were I am perp growing is frowned upon by the law

So plan 2 is as follows. This one is concrete not changing!
The room I'm building will be 5ft x 5ft with hight to the cealing
I'm buying a parabolic reflector with 1000 watt hps (should be plenty)
So that's it. Still upscallling but il keep my plant number to a reasonable amount and should be ok :)
Quite liked the idea of 8-10 week harvests so my next grow may be a AUto run
I'm thinking of getting this built n throwing a couple autos in next week they'd have 2 weeks on 18/6 with wats there now then get the rest of life on 12:12 wen we've flipped. Shame to waste space
 
Buddy, Miss 801 might come round to your plan "A" once she sees the "potential" if you know what I mean :) If you do go autos mate I PROMISE you won't be upset if you choose Fast n Vast :) I've done shitloads of research looking for GREAT yields, GREAT smoke, Great tolerance to LST and GREAT value...the very best I found was the Fast n Vast :)
 
Alex would your space you use now be ok to carry on with as a small one or two plant CFL vegging area. Then you could cfl veg a couple of fluxes for 10 weeks then flower out in your big area with your auto's? As I'm sure Donpaul is getting better results through 12/12 with auto's I believe?. Adds some time on, but better yields and he reckons it outweighs the time added!
 
That's GREAT info buddy....my next autos are going 12/12 with the Tutts flowering :) Alex, if needs be PM me and we'll sort a joint grow buddy. You're only 10-15mins drive away :)

Hey la. It just so happens I do actually have 2x 125watt (actual wattage) in the wardrobe unused. The new grow room though la is going to sit over the top of the footprint of the one I use now..... Iv got 10ft floor to cealing. The cupboard I'm building will be that tall to fit into the room. It will have a cealing inside at about 7ft leaving a cupboard above 5x5x3 I wonder if I could utilize that for a little veg area. That said though doing that I'm back to perpetual

There is nothing stopping me having my room. With one flux In The middle and autos all around. The autos will grow on 18/6 il have an auto harvest by time a flip to 12/12 then re stock the autos and have a bumper harvest with auto and flux second time. Does that make sense?

Yep that would do it! You could even reveg the flux? :) But yeah running auto's is ok but running them with the back up off a photo under flux would give you good security or fallback. I think my little style is going to produce real nice, now were into flower I'm even more happy!
 
Your tut is looking groundbreaking to me! When I see her you think ur looking at a multi plant sea of grean not one plant
So wat u think mate. The room... 5x5 with a flux in a rectangle like oz... How many autos you think would go in?
Or how many with 2 fluxes?

As far as reveg goes.... I think I'm done with that lol. FIRst SLH got revegged. I put a month into it and she fuked me over n died :(
 
With a small to medium auto you would go with 6-8 depending on one or two fluxes. Or if big auto strain, then probs 4 and the fluxes :)
Again with the light you have you will do real nice. Most I've used to date is 600hps :)

You're thinking is the same as mine mate....I've got the space AND the light so I might as well use it. I thought running 6 autos alongside the longer veg on Tutts was a good idea and I still do think it was good but.......4 would have been better than 6 lol LESSON LEARNED. I'm now thinking about only 2 autos through Tutts flower....we'll see lol :)

That sounds like a great plan Alex and a good compromise for safety ...just a thought about the extra 3 ft space...is it possible to put it on the bottom instead of the top?...in the main area you would be watering just above waist level and pruning / training at eye level..and it will be much easier to use the 3 ft area...unless your 9ft tall :)...that 3 foot area will be real tight for veg but perfect for propagation...getting your seeds going 2-3 weeks before your main grow ends will speed things up
 
Jay you little genius :) You've just solved one of my issues going forward....I think lol. I actually enjoy growing from seed and the "buzz" of germination etc. But.....I hate the fact it adds 2-3 weeks to your grow. I never considered popping seeds whilst the grow was still in progress. Would the switch from 12/12 to 18/6 effect them at all though? :)

I would find a small space to start them under 18/6 ...before I had a separate veg area (or if my veg space is too full) I use my bath room (no windows) and either a 125 w CLF or a small led light ...you don't need much wattage for seedlings...in an open space a small circulation fan will be sufficient for air flow
 
Yep I'm with Jay, I normally always over lap my germ time and seedling stage. As like he says all you need is a little spot somewhere with a couple of household cfls going.
I only recently added a fan to my veg bit lol. Also I veg when needed/young under 24/0 So you could start em off anywhere! No worries on light leeks etc. :)

Yep you got my vote on the H BUT the last few well six only sprouted 2 might have been my fault for buying bulk
but the freebies that were reg pooped soo easy even still on freebie was broken out of 5:)I think I will stay with em though

Hey jay that could be a possibility mate it's good thinking. I could hit problems though trying to enter the room to move the light up n down etc. it's guna be 5x5ft now so I'd like to get in and with a 3ft step and only 3ft between the step and top of door frame id struggle :(
La ur right I mean I could even veg in a kitchen cupboard or something with a single 125cfl and a couple quiet computer fans
