Good news today.... It would seem my topping was a sucess. As I can see small leaf tips I merging from the point I topped at
And at last 10 days late I received my temp/rh meter :)
Room humidity is low. So iv screwed a tea towel to the wall draped into a pan of water to try highten the humidity a bit

Nice one Scouse :) lol. If you've got a spare fan put it behind the tea towel so it blows through.....that increases the humidity buddy:)
 
Lol not sure how good it works I only first seen it mentioned wen wen oz was having issues so wel see. Think wen I left the room it was 37%
An hour ago so il go check soon and post a pik. Will give a better temp reading too. It was showing 77 in pik but with door wide open. It's been closed for an hour now so il see how bad my temps are.
 
Thanks oz were it is I can't put one behind it with were it is so iv put one pointing at it one minute ago.
So after an hour with door closed.
My temps are 89.7 and humidity in the 20's
Not ideal I no but I can strive to improve and it's what iv grown in before so anything better is a bonus :)

If poss mate lay another wet towel on the floor. The heat off the light will evaporate it and create humidity :)
 
RICO if I opened a window or turned off the heating shed chop of my good hand so I couldn't do it again lol
Ric what don't help also is all the heating pipes are sticking up through my grow room floor and blanked off from wen we relocated the boiler. But the pipes are still live. So I may aswell have a radiator on there with Mathilda

Oz I certainly will try that too if when I next check it's no higher the humidity
 
Mate, if you look on Fleabay for humidifiers they bring some REALLY cheap ones up that you literally hang off a radiator. They might be just the thing with your pipes the way they are? I've just put my aircon unit in the tent in the hope it'll raise the RH :) If not I'll buy 2 small portable ones lol :)
 
I swear I heard before that baby stores do small little ones, with mist function. supposed to be cheap also!

They do mate but you'd be forever refilling them. You need at least a 5ltr tank one :)
 
I had a brain wave....... I figured large surface area of water plus high temps squalls evaporation and humidity
My drip tray is a solid plastic unit 3ft wide x 1.5ft deep with side walls. 2.5" tall. I sat my plant pot up off the tray by a few inches
I then filled my drip tray with about 3 litres of water or 3/4" deep
When I arrived at grow room it was 22% humodty when I left it was 30%
Hoping it continues to rise. During the week temps not an issue the grow door can stay open a few inch keeping temps low 80's its the weekend I have the young boy and I canot have it open...... But hey..... I bet that weed growing in the afghan fields has 2 days a week heat stress lol

Ola LA I remember a grower friend called maxamillian had one of those I think it packed up pretty quick but deffs a good shout mate
Ozz my freind If I can get it to 40%+ filling my tray I may stick with it but if not il be investing
 
That great news mate....defo an improvement :) I've just checked mine too....aircon unit took the temps too low and did sweet FA to the RH. I changed it to fan mode and set thermostat to 22c......temp went up to 81 and RH 46 so looking better :) I'll check again in an hour and see whats what. Ideally I want 85f and 60 rh :)
 
Aye, I'm a PROPER PLEB lol. That said, No2 is awesome :) It's got 2 new growths on each "limb" of the flux :) I mean LITERALLY 4 new buds set at no more than 5mm apart :). I'll get some pics up on Tuesday when my son is here :). 7 of the others have new growth too but nothing as impressive as No2 :)
 
That's good mate :) ur not pleb mate just a mistake that anyone who wasn't 100% sure coulda made. Just picturing it made us giggle
And picturing ur face wen u realised what ud done at the point when u wil of stopped n thought and went..... Ohhhh shit!!! Lol
