Lol oz is right again. I don't drink now as a rule. Not for any more of a reason than I have more enjoyment from other things.
I worked as a doorman in oz's town for a couple years. You see everything with a clear head and drinking became much less apealing
Plus I'm a pig with drink I always end up bad as a dog lol
But........... Il have a glass of my moonshine :) if it is remotely drinkable lol

Hey all just wanted to remind you all that you want to be able to harvest the CO2 over the dark period. As your girls dont want any at night. So instead of drowning her with it at night have the end of your hose feeding into a big pop bottle. This will fill over night as co2 is heavier then air so will push the air up and out. Then you can bathe your girls with the bottle once lights are back on.

LA mate....have I got this right? The yeast and sugar dissolve in water in a "large" bottle. The gas given off is the CO2? The CO2 escapes through a hose and "rains" down n the plants? If that's right then I'll fit a 3 branch "valved" manifold to the pipe. :)
 
Yep you got it OZ. Just remember its only wanted at lights on period. Also you stop once about two thirds way through flower. As it can effect trich production/THC!!!!!.
 
Cheers mate :) I thought that was it :) I always go in the tent just before light off to switch one of the fan to heater so I can turn the valves off then :)

Oh also you want to blank out your bottles as light degrades yeast and this will cause short life span per fill. Sorry just learned that one myself. So gaffa tape here I come lol.
 
Ahhhhh, great info mate :) How much yeast and sugar do use per litre of water ? How long between re-charges ? :)
 
Right guys 10 mins work and the co2 machine is made
I need to add another tube to the main generator that will be bunged during lights on. The bung will be released at lights off to store the co2 in another bottle for the next day as LA said. When I release the pipes bung the gas will take that route instead of its normal route through the bubbler as there will be no bubbler resistance that way

Firstly I burned the holes in my lids by heating up the tip of a screwdriver that had a fracional smaller diameter than my aquarium hose creating a snug fit

Then I put it all together for pics :)
I installed a bubbler bottle holder as I like things sat tidy. The holder means I can still unscrew the bubbler

Then it got taken apart to be properly seeled

At the plant end of the hose I created a loop and burned holes into the loop to rain down co2
This end no doubt will change in time may go with LA's route of having the hose end leading to the room fan

Oz it depends lol I also layer my sugar and yeast. So I get a slow release evenly over time. You just have to kind of work it out lol. I do it all on a wing by eye dont ever measure now. Also if I want more production I change more frequently. On average though I get a good week and a half to a fortnight. As said not sure on measures but thats about 1 bag of sugar and 7 sachets of yeast split between my 3 bottles. That's just rough though!

Thanks guys..... How rapid does your bubbler bubble La?
I'd found a thing that recommended 1lb of sugar--1/2 to 1tbsp of yeast and 2litres of water
N said that will bubble away for a month lol

My bottle is 5 litre I'm planning 4 litre water 1kg sugar and it's the yeast bit I'm stumped with
 
It really is a weird one, you just kind of find the right amount for your bottle size by trial and error lol. What you read might be spot on. Alex it shoud bubble quite quickly just needs to build pressure first.
The yeast amounts are again play by ear. As the more you add the quicker the reaction and less the life. So its finding the happy medium for your own bottle size. So sorry as said trial and error.
