Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

I won't be home for lunch today so no lunchtime pic.

Good morning Mr. A. Your plants are beautiful. Westley is so strong now. With all of the positive effects that White Russians have, an extra plant is a good thing.
How is life in the West Coast? Mrs. A and your sons doing well? I hope you are taking some time to just be yourself and taking care of yourself.

Westley and the others are coming along Nicely Al. :thumb:

Thank you! I'm glad they survived me lol

Good Morning Alafornia... I hope all is well. The plants are looking great and It looks like things are picking up speed. Before you know it they will be over 2 feet tall.

They are growing like weeds already! :D

Life is busy! :D Had a lunch meeting today so no time for much of anything today. Humidifier is not here yet. :( Mrs. Alafornia and the kids are doing well. We've even avoided meltdowns that would have been unavoidable prior to the introduction of THC into the medication regimen. I take time for me when I can. I actually have a dental appt coming up for a problem tooth! Haha! Until then it's tylenol and ibuprofen. I've even said "no" a few times and flippin' meant it.

New growth looks good! Any bottom leaves that are browning or getting close to touching the soil should go at this point. The plant won't miss them and it's a good safety measure.

Would that be the bottom leaves on Westley and maybe on MH1? Are brand new fiskars OK for the task? Should I spray them with peroxide first (the sheers) and allow to dry?

Lookin good Al, I’m always late to the Cannabis show, but hell, I made it. I’ll get caught up later. Cheers!!!

Come on in and sit a spell! Glad to have you.

Lookin forward to seeing those girls get flipped! You thought you were excited now, lol the fun has just starting lol you have a while till then, but I’m looking forward to it Mr.A! :thumb: Lookin good sir!

I am as well. Thank you!

Thinking about LST next. A few of these might be good for quadlining. Ideas on which ones and when to begin training?

Is now a good time to increase the total watts from 490 to 630? Calling @Lowrider72 for this question since he has CMH lights. I feel like the coverage and penetration is good but are they big enough now to handle it? Lights about 38-39" above the plants, which I think is good for CMH.

Thank you to everyone who has offered help and/or a kind word. You really are appreciated!

More the older ones with the yellowing bottom leaves, like this:

I'd take off the bottom big ones left and right, where the petiole meets the leaf, with my thumbnail!

So right at the leaf then. Got it. That looks to be MH1 but I'll look for any bottom dwellers like it.

Looking good Al :goodjob:

As far as your cmh question try moving the light a little closer, I would try 24 inches to start and see how they respond.I grow with cmh and usually try to get my lights around 18 inches from the plants if they can handle it they will really start to put on the growth.

Gotta rearrange to place the humidifier anyway so I'll try to do that this evening. Remain at present light (wattage) level or increase?

BTW, the humidifier arrived! lol Was waiting for me when I left out to get food.

I would leave it at the current setting and just lower it. If after a day or 2 and they are responding well you could try increasing the light level

That will be great for the tent.you might try dialing down your exhaust fan if heat is not to much of an issue to keep the humid air in the tent a little longer and will also help get your humidity up

May have been before you jumped in that I mentioned I plan to turn the exhaust on when the humidifier got here. The fan controller got here today, too, so good timing. Plan to set it at 50%. It's a 6" 450 or so cfpm fan from ipower with an phresh intake and exhaust filter

P.S. I must have an ac and heater both in the tent and they are set to an inkbird on/off.

Happy days Al! Youngins look great, lots of nice new branching at nodes, on some of them quite a lot :thumb: And it sounds like the environment will be nicely dialled in pretty soon too. Then you’ll get to sleep in more! :)

I'll probably still wake up early too often, but I hope you're right. :D
