At least I caught it right away. I'm a repeat offender.
I could post my girls and make yours look fabulously normal by comparison. My mutants are so fuggly but I'm still somehow very fond of them.

I thought that since they are such funk monsters that they would have flowered early. Glad to be wrong!!!
If I don't have four good nodes on an auto before 21 days then I don't top. A strong growing auto will have good strong growth which allows it to be topped without stressing the plant.
Autos will flower when they are ready and may happen anytime after 21 days. The bigger the plant is, IME, the more likely it is to veg longer.

Day 17 quick photo dump again, blown away by this grow so far all plants are working past their 4 node now, the northern light is small but keeping up with node development. Only worry is I really want to top them all but is the dark devil showing sex already? Should I top when it's already showing sex
As long as there are no pistils you can top. I'd wait as long as you can which is around day 21. For the most part autos can flower anytime after 21 days.

Yeah you can kind of see a couple white pistols in the pic above, much more now so I'm glad I didnt top her, I did LST her and bent her over. I'll do an update after I top the rest

So I topped them I could see beginning of the white pistols forming so I did it, holding my breath the whole time, lol. And then my LSTd dark devil, I cut a 3 fans to open up the bud sites

So those ones you circled in the last pic are called stipules. I think I can just see the calyx and the pistils on the left.

Day 24 official update, girls are moving along real nice, although the dark devil and strawberry cheesecake are into flowering, they'll be a small yeild. The northern lights and strawberry caugh are short and stalky all 8 tops are growing the same heights for the most part. The move back home went well, they perked up after being under the light for an hour. Mixing 4 grams of the megacrop into 4 litres of water, then giving 2 litres each to the dark devil and northern lights, and the same mixture for the caugh and cheesecake but only about 600ml each
