If they are from a different breeder I'd be wary of them being manageable. Dubi has worked the Ace line fairly thoroughly to get the 'wild' structures out. They could be from an entirely different area of Malawi and not share much in the genetics pool as well.

I guess we'll see in the near future won't we ;)

Yes Aces Malawi is nothing like any Malawi I ever saw while I lived in Malawi not to say its not from Malawi. I couldn't possibly have experienced everything in that country in a lifetime.
The seeds you have will be closer to what people think of as real Malawi very speedy and super strong once cured properly ie cobbed.
As with any pure African plant given the right conditions it will grow tall so flower early to use the stretch in flower to get a more manageable size plant. I grow them on 12/12 after 10 days from seed and end up with mini 1.5 to 2mtr plants.
I usually tie them down to reduce height and LST the hell out of them as well.

@tangwena Sounds good to me, I'm grateful for the chance to try some real Malawi without having to travel there (even though I want to).
10 days from seed and 2 meters tall....I'm in big trouble lol. I'm gonna need to re-think how I LST with these 2 me thinks
Oh well at least I should have a pretty big harvest by the end of it :thumb:

Told ya........:passitleft:

I live in a rental to put it simply. I don't want to get into trouble even though I love growing this plant ya know?

Yes I do know. :hugs: good luck with the inspection. I hope yours go as quickly as mine have.

I tamed mine with poles around the perimeter of the pot. I then attached the branches where they needed to be to keep it all contained. Worked out pretty well in the end. She does want to take over the tent. Lol!

I took my Zamaldelica X Panama the other day, and I'm estimating 6 ounces from that 2.5 gallons of perlite she grew in. :yahoo: These are genetics I can get behind.

In the end she was falling over and foxtailing like mad! Absolutely delightful to grow.

She'll contribute mightily to my cob collection and make lots of pain cream to leave behind when I move. :slide:

Nice buds Sue they are going to be very interesting in effect with a cross like that behind them.

I hope this is allowed as its an Ace cross. Zamaldelica x Tom hill haze.
This was grown by a friend but he gave me some seeds bless him they are going in after my current Panama x Honduras and Golden Tiger #3 all from Ace R&D seeds.
Just look at the buds!, also some Senegal x Tom Hill Haze because its so damn cool.

That's a beauty Tang! I was watching that cross over at ICmag too. Have you got to try any yet or will that plant be your first?
I'll be flipping my R&D strains soon, I have the 3rd Golden Tiger too along with Thai/Zamal Zamaldelica x Ethiopian and Bangi Congo x Malawi. I just put some Thai Chi into the cobatron on Monday too.
I'm glad to see you found your way back to the Mag.

I was away at a fishing camp for a month ha ha. Have you got a diary of your grow?
I am curious about the 3rd GT as I have 3 just starting.
Those strains you listed are awesome the R&D list has some amazing crosses I just wish I could grow more but I'm restricted by space.
The guy I got the seeds from Mad Mac crossed everything he had to a THH male that was super resinous. I got 3 crosses GT, Zamaldelica and a Malawi he got from a friend who visited Malawi for work and sent back seeds.
He has more crosses Papua New Guinea, Senegal ect the list goes on and on.
But I will be mainly sticking with the Ace R&D stock way too much good stuff in there.
The Malawi x Ethiopian I grew was wonderful and super speedy as well as psychedelic beautiful flowers and aromas my friends cant get enough.
The just released fems should be real gems there is just too much to choose from I cant stop looking at the web site ha ha.

My journal is in my Signature but I haven't posted any pics of the R&D strains. I rarely post any veg pics but I have 2 open flowering spaces with another opening up in another week or so. The Zam x Ethiopian and GT will be the 1st to go in, probably this weekend depending on the root balls. The GT looks to be a wild one, kinda like the tester Neville's Haze x Malawi I'm fighting with now so I can't wait too much longer.

Good day gang....some A5 X Malawi and Thai Chi pics....
