Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

119...did you not get the few posts about the heat mat i just put into action last night? It measures 2 feet X 3 feet and will easily keep that area warm for you. It comes with a built in 'daisy chain ' connector and the cord is HD with a built in GFCI. It draws 180W from the wall , so is very economical . Just checked the temps over the last 24 hrs....it ran 68 F to 77F so, it's all good . Was 115 US and is built very heavy duty cuz it's meant to be stepped on a lot so...cheers eh!

Hey Dugs, yes sir... I did see that and will probably get one similar if not that exact one. I would like to be able to turn it down though... Do you know if I could wire up a potentiometer on that mat? Maybe I could just set it on a timer during certain times of the year. Sometimes here it will be 30f in the morning and damn near 80f in the afternoon, so I may need a way to control that. Maybe I could use one of those temperature controllers like on the Cob-O-Tron?

I could wire up a female plug end to the controller, that way I could just plug the mat into that so I dont need to cut into that cord... think that would work?

Nahh, no need to get fancy with one. I would just put it on a timer for the coldest 12 hrs....done. And ya,..these come in all shapes and sizes by this company. They are designed for walk ways and steps ,..that sort of thing, ..outside to melt snow.
I just figured , at 180W, it's not gonna get that warm to worry. When i got home after work , the temp. was 70F, but last night peeked at 77. The heat in the house was turned way down all day while i'm at work, unless one of the boys are here.
When you look around for them , check prices very carefully , cuz they can vary, a lot.

Wow,...looked at that controller...friggen cheaper than an old style , mechanical timer....i give up....here take this......:passitleft:
Sweet, thanks Duggs... I like how yours is an outdoor mat, can get wet and stepped on, built to last!
Yea those controllers are cheap, and good for maintaining a temp range. But I do like the idea of only running it the coldest hours. And I have extra timers around anyway... yep I’ll go timer for now. :passitleft:

Yup, I have an ink bird temp controller, was 35 bones, has plug for heat and ac. I have used it for heat with space heater or my hair dryer, ha! I mostly use it though to check temps, it hangs outside the tent and sensor is inside.

The timer will work perfect! I was doing that with my under rug heater.

I wish the weather would make up it's freaking mind. We have crazy temp swings then next day really cold dry air and humidity In 30%

Hey everyone, hope your weekend is great!
Just wanted to pop in here and see if anyone has a recommendation on how to either stop this fade, or even better how to get these leaves back to a decent shade of green. The pic I took in a hurry so they aren't great.

This Destroyer is in a 12-13gal plastic pot.
Her last feeding was a 1.5gal water with a splash (about 1ml.) - 12-6-18
With this plant I have been feeding on the light side so a typical drench looks like 12-13ml drench plus 1.2-1.3ml tea in 1.5gal water. She didn't seem to like the heavy side earlier on...
Her last Brix was also 12-6-18 @.75ml per oz of water
All water I use I warm, around 78f
She is around 118 days old total, 63 days since flip, 50 days since pistils or around 7 weeks.
She is due a Recharge next drench, has been 4 weeks since the initial recharge, done at week 3 after transplant. I may wait one more week unless advised otherwise.
Temp: 77-80 day 69-71 night (pretty happy with these temp, even after the new lights... still perfect!)
RH: 55-60 day, 50-55 night

She looks good over all I suppose, just dont like the big fans fading so fast. I want her to have a strong finish, if thats still possible!

119...good day bud. Couple things. Was wondering why you decided to give weaker drenches .......and why are you giving her two Recharges?
If she were mine i would give her the rest of that Recharge and give a full strength Trans Drench. follow that up with a light misting of 'Doc's 'Snake Oil'
After this , give her a week and have another look at her.
Oh , one more thing bud..your water doesn't need to be that warm...78F is too warm IMO. As long as it's room temp...68-70F that is ok. It's only when the water temps get way down in the 40's and 50's that causes issues. Cheers eh.

Hey Duggs! Well on that 12 week Panama I was instructed to give a recharge around 2-3 weeks post transplant, then another 4 or 6 weeks after the first since it is a longer flowering strain. I did not split the recharge and spread it out over time, I gave a full first and second recharge.

I thought you had told me to back off on the drench strength... and the foliar strength... might have been someone else but pretty sure it was you. I was fed once around 20ml in 1.5 gallon water and the tips got burned...
That snake oil is mixed with brix, right? I am guessing I will need to wait a bit to spray that? Last brix was only 3 days ago.

With the water, they seem to love it at that temp. Seems if I dont warm it up they slow down... but guess I will stop that.
Thanks Duggs

Here ya go Duggs... why I am feeding light.

So with the Destroyer, by feeding less you mean lighter drenches and foliar, correct? So stay on the light side of drenches, around 1ml per gallon of soil? And the Brix at say .75ml per 1oz water? or half strength? I was also going to take Neikos advice on Brix and not do it every 7-10 days but every 14.

Also,I have my panel turned all the way up. I do kinda want to put some red in there to help bulk up the buds as well. Would it be too late, say tomorrow, to hang some red in there? Remember I hung that light in my last tent with that panama clone, but the panama clone was messed up so I turned it off. I dont think it was the red light, it was just the fact I suck with clones:rofl:

Thanks Duggs!
Yes, agree with Neiko too. About the 14 days , or two weeks between foliars. Yes, i mean lighter Drenches, and foliars as well. If you start pushing things on that Destroyer, she will fade and go crispy , far too early OK. Let her get what she needs from all that soil. Give a lil Tea when just watering too,...just a bit. who said...."it's the little things"??? Haha...cheers bud.
