Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Checked the timer and all looks fine. Then I was like hey... I am stupid... So went and looked at this:

As you can see there is no heat rise during the dark period... then it shoots up as soon as my panels come on. I did notice on the week long view I had a spike up to like 97... which is strange. I will be watching for spikes like that from now on.

Was thinking.... if KB was right about the old pollen... couldn't I stir it up here and there... maybe causing this? IDK, I am reaching now.
Pollen only stays viable for so long. Moisture will kill it's ability to pollinate as well. Maybe spray down your tent, ventilation, and closet with water? A short spike of 97 shouldn't cause Panama to hermi. It's native environment gets there regularly.

Hey Morglie, I agree about the spike and the pollen... I’ll be sure to mist everything down very well after this grow.
As far as the hemp, I’m in south west Texas and have no idea if there are any hemp plants around. Not sure if a google search will help but I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for the ideas!

Edit: this has happened on all plants grown in this tent last 1.5-2 years now... could be wrong though maybe I haven’t had my tent this long but still every plant grown in it has done this same thing. Yep... even the first one grown in there.

Ok, from what I can tell reading articles on hemp here... is this.
They are working on being able take plant and harvest hemp here but still are not doing so. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any wild patches around. And if this is my problem what would the precautionary measures needed to know for a fact my plants are safe from it?

If it's not cultivated there, I can't see where it would be any concern. Most of the wild got culled years ago because of its assocation with cannabis. I know some states are starting to allow it, but I'm not certain where it's actually currently in cultivation.

From the sounds of it, you've been growing in it perpetually for a year plus, which means you've had this issue at times of the year when there's no pollen outside, so it has to be something in your place.

It seems odd that it would still be viable though, if this was something from your first grow. Pollen only stays viable for a couple months sealed up and refrigeratored. At room temp and open conditions, it would be far less I would think. I have to admit I'm perplexed.

Morning Gang...

Well I really appreciate your thoughts Morglie... I hate being so stumped and having you guys be stumped is just crazy... I though it would be something simple I overlooked. Thanks you for your time!
Ok I'm in the same area and no way in hell there are hemp fields here. That temp spike is a concern, do you know the root of the problem? Can heat stress cause a plant to Hermie??
Hey KB, well Morglie didn't think a spike here and there would cause the panama to herm cause its native environment will do the same. I have a few pic of my tent weather I will post for you guys to analyze. I started to think last night when I was stoned... that the temp spikes correlate with the foliar spraying... but I think I was wrong. Thanks KB
He did find naners on the Panama. There's a pic a few posts back.
Yep thats correct, I never saw the nanners on the last plants but lots of those tiny seeds. The nanners coulda been there, maybe I just never caught sight of them. But definitely on the panama...

Was just taking a close look at Groot a minute ago and things aren't well. She is growing nanners out of the top of some foxtails... and sides of mid/lower buds.
Should I go ahead and plan to harvest Sunday? I really dont wanna fight the nanners. From what I can see there is only a little cloudy and no amber that I can find on the buds, only amber is on some sugar leaves. She has slowed, isn't putting out many new pistils, but still drinking pretty good needs water/fedding every 4 days or so.
Oh and we are at 81 days so only 3 days shy of the 12 weeks... Do these tend to go longer than 12 usually?
I can see why she'd want to finish up early though... still losing fans/ most top leaves burnt and now totally yellow.

Typically pure sativas don't amber in the kit. I'd say she's ready if you're seeing amber.

That's weird that she's hermying that much. Ace's long worked strains like Panama and Malawi typically don't. Dubi does a pretty thorough job of breeding that trait out. I'm thinking you've got something environmental causing it, but I have no idea what. Have you cleaned out the tent thoroughly with bleach water in between grows?

Yes sir, I thoroughly clean the tent and cabinet between grows. I use a mild bleach solution to do so. One thing I have neglected to do is spray my fans with water between grows... I kinda figured since they were running all the time the pollen wouldn’t be able to stick around inside them but could be wrong. I plan to do it this time.

I agree that since it’s happened on All grows in this tent it does seem environmental... it did happen on the first grow in this tent too.

If you harvest and crop is riddled with seeds, could use it to make cannabis oil and put it in capsules. My last batch is potent af. Longer lasting high Imo and feels cleaner than smoking
Hey KB, yea I could do that but I really prefer the high when smoked... it doesn’t last as long but I love the intensity.
I would smoke some, hell we use to buy imported weed in the 70's & 80's that had tons of seeds.

We still got high AF!

It may not be perfect, but that doesn't mean it won't do the job.
Sup OL, Well I did smoke a few test buds and it certainly does the job... but it’s harsh with those super tiny seeds. I used to only get weed with seeds and it’s no biggie IF they are full sized seeds. But these are so tiny they are hard to see and harsh when smoked.
Like the tracking graphs, what is it?

What light are you using? Has that changed at all?
The graphs are form my Accurite weather sensors. There’s a HUB for WiFi so you can also monitor from afar. I love it, gives me something to look back on in moments like these. I have changed my light, but the last lights I was using in the same tent and those plants did the same. I’m really thinking I’m either way more careless then I thought or that tent is off gassing... causing unseen unknown stresses... temp are decent, humidity decent, airflow if good, fans blow around plant well, good circulation. Can’t find light leaks, no interrupted dark period... I just don’t know...

Thanks for stopping in with ideas guys, at this point ima just harvest her and hope for the best. It will go down Sunday.
