I actually went with the vape pen. I was gifted some delicious wax last week and the replacement skillet heater for my pen finally got here. It's Saturday, just one more for grins. :laughtwo:

You haven't been by my journal in a while and I've been playing with some 5:1 BioBomb capsules you should check out. Somewhere along the line you're gonna want to share these with someone.

You've peaked my interest with that capsule comment. You had the wife and I talking last night about whether or not we should dedicate a jar or two to CCO. And the answer was a enthusiastic "YES". I will be venturing the isles of the CCO hall in the upcoming days to get an idea of what it's going to entail. I need to size it up to ensure that this is something I'm really interested in. Edibles was a big disappointment for me and I want to avoid the same kind of mistake. Concentrates however, have seemed to be the light at the end of the tunnel. And I want to get it!

Kyu, I wanot you to know that I brought the camera, I wore my favorite t-shirt with the anticipation of making a video with the two of them. But let me tell you, I was so taken back by their hospitality and presence that we talked and talked and talked and then had no more time! I couldn't believe it but I had to get going almost as quick as I got there.
But there WILL be a video with my good friends in the upcoming weeks. I'm very excited!!

Haha this makes me laugh "assholes" you two were so great! I felt honoured to be amongst you two in your fortress with your supply right in front of me! Only at my own house do I have a beautiful selection of medication with such an array of devices. But when I stepped into your little corner of reality I immediately felt at home!

Another good easy to follow video :-) however, I don't agree with defoliation or cutting off healthy leaves and nodes just because they are at the bottom. That six-inch piece you cut off, I think it would've been top canopy within a couple of days. Perhaps if you skip the defoliation and cutting off other healthy growth, your veg time would be reduced? Just my opinion. I would do the exact opposite and not cut any of it and say "this is going to keep the plant growing quickly and not waste all that energy rebuilding this healthy shit I just cut off". I do not believe cutting off healthy plant material increases yeild, I believe it only slows vegetative growth.
To be fair though, I have only done one side-by-side comparison, that is hardly enough for proof that defol is a waste of time. But, I have never seen a legitimate side-by-side comparison where defoliation produced more yield. Would love to see some one do a legitimate clone only, shared reservoir, matching light level test some day to further prove it.
 
Yea I used to be on the same page. I even mention in the video that this is a first for me. I've never defoled let alone stripped her naked like this. But it's a practice I'm seeing done everywhere with great results. I too have never done a side by side but I've grown enough plants now to know that even undefoliated plants can grow small worthless buds and have lots of underwhelming growth at the bottom.

As for the piece I cut off that could be a potential top: it's not worth the time. To train that littl stem to become equal with the canopy would happen eventually but with the cost of time just to not be comparable in strength and size. There's already a nice array of tops I think I can afford to lose a couple weaklings. I want these plants out of the veg room in 3months. Having too much little stuff will take away from that and create small buds.

Your insight is always welcome here OG! I would also like to see a side by side grow with defol and without to see the difference.
