No, you're not late :) The days roll one into the next and we are in many time zones in 420 Mag. Thank you for the happy wishes Val. When do you have your main celebrations and feasts?

I saw some nice pictures of some beautiful plants on one of your other social media sites earlier Val.

❤️

I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas

Those look stunning Carmen.
Mad skills with the camera
Thanks Chom :) I wonder when the pistils will turn. It's surely gotta happen soon.
Solid and heavy looking budz Carmen!
Thanks Otter. They are! They are leaning quite a bit now, under their own weight.
I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas

We did, thank you LKA. I hope the same for you too. Ours was very well coordinated by my cousin, and each person amiably played their part.

Good morning,

I finally got around to starting my WCA (water soluble calcium) using the KNF (Korean Natural Farming) method.

Method:
  1. Save used eggshells and remove the membrane.
  2. Crush eggshells.
  3. Place crushed eggshells in a dry pan on heat.
  4. Heat until thoroughly browned.
  5. Pour 10 x the vinegar to eggshell over the browned eggshells.
  6. All the concoction to bubble for ten or so days.
  7. Strain vinegar and use 1/1000 dilution.
It was @Azimuth who introduced me to WCA. Azi has a thread on Jadam and NKF, and knows quite a bit about it all. I haven't even scratched the surface. Thanks Azi. Now I have banana tea and WCA. What next?

Highya Carmen,

Love that Blueberry Auto. Gorgeous buds on her! The longer it takes for pistils to turn brown means bigger buds!! Very nice job! Chocodope looks very happy! Daffy says Highya also! Happy Smokin'

Boxing day pics:

Wishing you a chill day.
Very pretty stuff, Carmen.

Box those up, I'll take 'em!
Yours are looking rather lovely and growing in size themselves!
Biochar. Of course.

:laughtwo:
That's burnt stuff right? Ok, will I find all that in your plant alchemy journal?

Hello Daffy and Bode :) Thank you for the encouragement and happy smokin' to you too!

Thanks MGM :)

I was going to say a microbe potion, which would be a great place to store your biochar.

House them in biochar, wind them up with calcium, turn them loose on the banana tea and flower those ladies.
How would I make the microbe potion, and the biochar? What's the relationship between the biochar and the microbe potion?
Am I supposed to be feeding the banana peel potion to all my flowering plants or only those with deficiencies?

Yes, and though I would be pleased to have you slog through all of it, you can get right to the good stuff Here and Here.

Check out the JMS links in my sig.
Perfect. Thank you.

I use a bucket (2gal, 5 gal) and suspend a 1 gal paint strainer bag into which I put a mashed up baked potato and some leaf mold soil (although I use worm castings instead, but similar outcomes). Add a hint of sea salt and fill with non-chlorinated water, cover and let it sit near your plants so you cultivate the microbes in the same environment you'll be using the stuff in. In a couple of days you'll get some bubbles that show the microbes are hard at work. At the peak of the bubbles is the peak of the population of what you're cultivating and that's when you use it. Of course your environment will dictate how long that takes so you'll need a few rounds to dial it in.
Once it's cooled off it is ready to charge, which basically means infusing it with nutrients. If you don't charge it before use it will work much like your charcoal air filter in that it will suck out nutrients from your soil until it is saturated so your first year or two could show deficiencies as it absorbs those nutrients from the soil.
Thank you Azi. I buy a microbe solution Environoc 401, and there is already biochar in my soil. I'm limited with what I can do as I live in a 62 m square space and I do not have a fire place. I made the banana stuff because it was easy to do in my kitchen. If I can make it in the kitchen without fancy equipment, then I can do it.

Perhaps you can answer a question I have about the egg shell concoction. It has stopped bubbling and I got the impression from the video that if it is done correctly it will bubble for ten days. Should it still be bubbling or have I misunderstood?
