A Mar-sian Darkness Falls In Otterville

Well done Stone. With the energy and love you put forward in your gardening, it makes us well aware of the struggle you must have endured as your plant developed a genuine thirst. Your close bond with your garden, a channel for amazing results as they come bursting out of the tents and fully into your life.
Congratulations my friend. :theband: :bongrip:

Congratulations my friend. :theband: :bongrip:
You know it hurt me to put the screw in her today. Not sure if i'm cut out for torturing, Maybe if the results pan out. I suppose it's a natural response to natures issues. Why penalize myself for knowing how to get it done. There, I'm over it.

Good snowy morning!
The subject of trichome amplification testing is out of the light, has had a screw put into her trunk at the base for maybe even more trich improvement. She's in the dark now while I check on her trichs daily for 2 days or so.

I needed that. Thanks for the chuckle. Now go screw her, but remember what I said helps me garden. Put yourself in her place and ask yourself... just kidding. Get er done :bongrip:

Vindictive orgasmic thc is best served rolled in rice papers and burned slowly and casually. I'll be there for that!

Interesting to follow your tests and to hear if any of these stress techniques will go into your standard rotation.
I'm finding the drought and the screw aren't new. This particular drought I did came from a formal study Mariner woke me up to. It's in the beginning of his journal if you want to see it. Apparently when assaulted they fight back with trichomes. The screw I put in is an old technique too. Nailed, split, All sorts of tortoise methods of coaxing a little more.
I'm seeing progress during the drought and can't see why I wouldn't add it to the bad of tricks. The screw too. They're both free and can be done during the normal cycle.

This makes me reconsider all of the super crop attempts I've botched over the years. I've mostly always split my branches on accident, but perhaps there were silver linings I completely overlooked? The most recent one I can recall was really bad. I split the branch wide open due to it being too woody and my hand not squeezing hard enough to crush the cells, so when I bent it over , ... POP. The plant I did this too was growing way too fast and vigorous at the time and I needed to get that top away from that COB. After I split the branch and laid it down, it stood right back up a day later. This was maybe 3 months ago, maybe 4. I did lose a bunch from that plant and specifically that branch to systemic bud rot, but that aside, I do recall seeing heightened tric development above those splits. IDK if anyone's willing to further test this theory, but I can't afford to take the risk till after the new year and my harvest frequency is regular.

Those kind of things do it. We just have to learn and pick the ones that make sense and work for us. I think for me it's drought and the screw in the dark until she says uncle.

As much as I love date night, I nixed chop time. I'm out of commission for today. Just going to get the necessary stuff done. Like rescuing the second DDA from drought. She went 9 days and I called it. I do believe the trichs got amped up! @Maritimer, what is the word for this act? Is it already coined? Maritiming has a ring to it.
Here's death row tonight. Before I watered.
These two are 4 days dry.

This is getting serious! I hope to chop one tomorrow and seclude one in darkness leaving two to tango to the death.

I call it "Capping" after the good doc who shared his thesis with the world. His experiments just proved with all the testing what many old hippies anecdotally established. Stress, makes her mess. Looks like you should reap the benefits. Congratulation my friend.
