A Mar-sian Darkness Falls In Otterville

You can test your old stones by blowing through the tubing. You shouldn't have much resistance.

You can soak the stones in vinegar to clean them. But you really don't need them to mix.

If it is also for oxygenation then maximum surface turbulance is what you want. Oxygen enters water by gas exchange through surface turbulence not by being injected through a stone. Nothing happens until the bubbles break the surface.

You maybe should get a propeller mixer instead, you seem to have a decent seize tank and props are way better in many ways than mixing in more o2 with the air stone. I had lots of pH problems with my hydro when I used the airstone for mixing the res. Now I only stir it once a day with a stick Lol. Talk about reverse evolution, from airstone to stick. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm not mixing with these. Just getting oxygen in the water. My mixing stones are old too and I noticed harder to blow through the other day cleaning them. I have to get stoned all around!

Great tips.

They are made in neoprene and contain tiny holes which let the air out. Easy to bend and shape like you want them. Just plug the other end with a bent hose and a stripe to close the end off.
Those are cool. Next time. I already bought into some regular ones. The place is quieter now. There was a lot of pressure from the old stones.

If it doesn't work we can look at the innards of the pump. Those are the two things that I would look at first though.
I put the new stones in and it's much better now thanks. The loudest barrel was the most restricted. Now it's on to the 4 x 4 tent. I need to renew the charcoal filter in there. Going to reserve this one for the future to clean. Until then I'll replace it with new so I can toggle them after cleaning. I found an infinity 6 inch fan used on ebay like new to replace it. I'm putting it out of the tent like the other one. Never know when you need some ceiling. I couldn't get to the back light to adjust it with the lemon og candy grow with it in there. NO goot! 60 something DB is too loud for the house for fan sounds. This should bring it down to a slight roar.

I haven't been able to take time with these for only one day and they blew out since Monday. 3 days later and here we are. Lots of branching coming up. The mag def might be stopped but I think one more shot of calmag next watering and I'll wait and see.

Highya SO,

Nice looking DDa's. I saw pistils on top of one of them. Seems to be the norm. They'll perform very nicely! Cheers

Love the cedar bark mulch work, I have a bunch around my trees, I should utilize too seeing how I have a few fungus gnats. I find it hinders me from seeing how dry my pots are getting though.

Hi Baron. I'm not sure we should use cedar. Some barks are on the do not use list. These you see here are probable oak and maple. I broke some firewood bark off. I'm hearing some clean pine bark mulch is very good for many reasons including bug prevention. I go with watching for wilt to see when they want water.

Hi Bode, you sure did! I saw them this morning. I didn't want to believe it yesterday. The 3 maturest have begun flowering on day 23. 22 really. I didn't top them because they looked too close on day 21 and too small every day before. Never grew a plant not topped before. WoooHooo! DDA bud is on the way!

Back at ya! Hope it is relaxing for ya.
:meditate:

Green days! Excited to watch these babies grow!
i hate that your knowledge is being "spent" on autos... but am watching with hope and anticipation, nevertheless!

I have 4 of the Mars Hydro Cree COB lights coming and I am looking at that 5x5x80 Mars tent, I still need everything for it so I will have to get it next month but I am excited to see how yours does. :snowboating:
hopefully, mars does, but i regret not spending the extra green, on gorilla; not being able the get upwardly mobile extensions, for the vivo...
